Why was Battlefront 1 so much better than 2?

Post yfw 3 has no instant action, no galactic conquest and less than 64 units at any one time. Instead there's a cod style "story" mode and day one multiplayer DLC.

fast rate of fire with splash damage, and the best mobility/speed out of all the starfighters in Battlefront 1.

Because people could just gun down bots and rack up huge kill scores and win the battle by depleting reinforcements at chokepoints. I know I abused the hell out of it.

Still having a full amount of troops fighting at the same time and having those AI bots made the battles feel more like battles.
