Where did the Ghosts go so wrong?
>care package removed from killstreaks
>now how to be picked up in the middle of battle and do a field order
>crazy customization of player model
>simple coloring would be enough
>best gamemode put in a playlist no-one plays
At least the guns look good.
Big, convoluted maps.
Emphasis on TDM, no incentive to ptfo.
Shitty color palette, everything's washed out, too difficult to tell people from the environment.
Boring, bland, useless killstreaks (and the fact that it used killstreaks at all instead of scorestreaks)
Terrible perk and gun balance
Ridiculously fast TTK
All that shit turned the game into a dry, boring campfest.
Besides the pc version being crap. The game was just bland and the guns handle like shit.
Having huge maps can work. Like you see in World at war bcause tanks. in Ghosts the maps made no sense, they were just one big open field with no chokepoints or center.
The minimap was great though
Man the maps just felt so bad. Like you were being forced to camp to get anywhere. They stripped the fun out of the game for super serious MLG playstyles and it ruined it for me.
I just want to run around with my friends with dumb classes and have fun.
The DLC maps are better than the base maps, but that almost makes it worse because it means they could've been designing decent small-to-medium maps the entire time, but instead were just fucking around until they could release them for 15 bucks a pop.
And it doesn't change the camping problems or the lack of incentive to play the objective.
What was so bad about the MW3 streaks?
>mfw you say Stealth Bomber and EMP
The fucking stealth bomber
>mfw it hits
on top of that
OP as fuck specialist streak (yes this is all I used)
>Putting streaks that kill into fucking support
the constant screaming and just all around shitstorm when some fag gets a M.O.A.B
etc i'm sure there are a few more i'm forgetting
Black Ops 2 HEAVILY incentivizes you to play the objective.
Tags are worth more than kills in KC.
Capping points and defensive kills are worth more than regular kills in Dom. Capture kills are worth their weight in gold.
And so on.
Presumably Advanced Warfare will be the same since it uses scorestreaks.
I mean yeah it was retarded and unbalanced, but wasn't it kinda fun in a way when you got that stuff? The feeling when you get Specialist Bonus or an AC-130 in MW3 is pretty neat.
Yea but MW3 is when shit got outta hand I mean it was like some insane parody of MW2
>Moutain dew! (Yes at the time it was insane the amount of advertising these things got together)
>Quick scoping garbage became more and more of a thing
>Based robert bowling thrown on his ass because he wants to give players more free maps
>the constant pop ups that affect you while play ing (This shit annoyed me to no end)
and a few more bullshit things on a more positive note
>The gun play
>The gun selection
>an overall good SP
>Black Ops 2 HEAVILY incentivizes you to play the objective.
Yes but my experience was that people did not play that way. Lots of tags was just left around, and dominations flags kept being onesided the whole match, because everybody was playing TDM in their heads
In my experience, people wanted to get their streaks, so they went after tags and flags.
Even if they don't, as long as you play the objectives yourself and
git gudenough to get a VSAT, you can fucking one man army that shit.
>UAV > VSAT > Warthog
>mfw that fucking sound
Raid is the map for this, trick is to let them roll up to b first whilst flanking, either mid or statue. Once clear use smokes hide out of the ditch and hope to god nobody is using mm scanner. Also a good tactic is to throw your smokes where they are coming from, if they want to shoot at you they have to move from their precious stairs/bunker.
When Treyarch stops making them.
>god nobody is using mm scanner
Did anyone actually use that? I think i might have seen that one time or some thing. Its like the Low power scope in Blops1
m80, I'll stop buying them when they stop being enjoyable. That's the great thing about our capitalist system.
Black Ops II was fun, I bought it and enjoyed it for the full year. Ghosts was shit, I didn't get it. Advanced Warfare looks fun, I'll rent it and if it's good, I'll buy it.
Always pick dogs over swarm i usually run lodestar/warthog with dogs. Whilst they are avoiding your air support, they might neglect the fact that there's dogs about. Also slows discourages people from trying to shoot you down.
Smoke Grenade+MK64 (or is it 46?) with Dual Band was a pretty fucking popular choice for Dom.
I also had a pretty gimmicky PDW+MMS loadout that I used with Engineer, EMPs and Black Hats. The idea was point whore by seeing everything and breaking everybody's equipment and constantly be getting Care Packages.
That's what was great about BOII. You could do some fun ass gimmick builds in that game. I hope AW has the same potential.
Worst fucking map in this game is Whiteout.
Who the hell decided that this map was good idea? I always leave from lobby or match in progress if this piece of shit comes in.
What kind of friendless fatass you need to be to even vote for this map?
>Worst fucking map in this game is Whiteout.
It plays like shit, but looks really cool. There are so many empty points on that map, its like the swimming pool in Bloc (cod4) all over again
Yeah but that sounded just like they were talking up the randomized supply drop garbage. Like, this gun with one more tic in recoil is TOOOOTTALLY different from the same gun with one more tic in rate of fire. Borderlands tried the same crap, I'm pretty sure.
What I really care about there is if we'll have any control ourselves over the stats of our guns or if it'll just be purely random. Like if I can just do something to get a souped up version of a gun with better recoil but worse range without having to deal with some RNG shit, I'd be down for that, I guess.
Played it for a weekened. There's absolutely nothing enjoyable or redeeming about this piece of shit. I enjoyed Black Ops for a short while but this was just pure fucking garbage.
Atleast on Stonehaven everyone isn't wearing a camo that blends in 90% of the map.
Whiteout flat out forces you to use the "No fun" scopes, aka, thermal scope and that other outline revealing one.
M27 + Silencer & Rapid Fire
Sleight of Hand
No reason to use anything else. M27 is the fucking god gun in that game. If you wanna be a real tryhard little asshole, you can put a thermal sight in instead of Rapid Fire.
>non ironic call of duty threads
/v/ you are dead to me
This is going to sound weird, but I dislike the inconsistency between CoD games. The time-to-kill in MW2/3 is radically different from something like Blops/Blops2 its difficult to play them back to back.
>playing this cancerous casual shit
I knew that it takes a special kind of retard to like modern wellfare but OP takes the fucking cake.
Go fucking kill yourself and stop polluting our oxygen you stupid shit.
>the most dumbed-down game specially made for mentally challenged shits who have trouble just trying to turn on his computer
>complains about something marginally different
>in the most streamlined pile of shit excuse of a game ever
Black Ops 2 was kinda fun.
I made some class with a shield, c4, and a pistol and apparently that setup made people really, really mad.
Maybe anyone would give a shit if you weren't trying to talk about the shittiest, dumbed-down shooter you could find made especially for ADHD autists.
There is literally nothing to talk about, except confirm that the game, is in fact, pure shit.
I used to be a huge call of duty fan.
MW2 as my first, then Black Ops, then I quit. Then my friend gave me MW3 and I fell in love all over again. Then I quit again. Then my friend bought me ghosts. I hated it. Then I got BO2 and mildly enjoyed it. I don't like ghosts because there is no challenge. MW2 is my favorite just because if you wanted a certain attachment on a gun you had to work for it. In every game after BO you just levelled your gun up and while I didn't like it I thought it was still all right.
Then in ghosts they fucking made it more casual than it already is. "Don't like being forced to use your gun to get better attachments? LET'S JUST GIVE YOU LITTLE TOKENS SO YOU CAN FEEL SPECIAL! THEN LET'S LET YOU BUY FUCKING EVERYTHING AT LEVEL ONE!"
I play MW2 to this day because I enjoy working for cool gunz.
Ghosts is boring as shit.
I don't know. Maybe it was a grenade or something. I remember my screen messing up and then a guy ran around the corner and I shot him in panic. Then it said I'd killed my own teammate. I wonder what it was?
It's not a netcode thing, it's the fact that the dog's hitbox is way bigger than the actual model and it kills you before it actually touches you.
Sounds like you were playing Hardcore.
No, it was in TDM. I tried shooting my guys after my map was restored but it didn't kill them anymore. Damn. Anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about? It's going to bug me all night.
Hardcore isn't a mode, it's a set of rules, but if you didn't go into the Hardcore playlist intentionally, it's likely not that anyway.
I can't think of anything in Core that'd enable friendly fire like that. Weird.
Where did Call Of Duty go wrong?
>Horrible level design
Okay. I actually booted up the game to try it. A fully charged 9 bang will allow you to kill your own teammate for about 2-3 seconds after getting hit with it.
