What have you bought so far?
>tfw I bought Blazblue near release because I had a big urge to play it
>play it once and haven't touched it since
>see this sale
I hate myself when I buy things on impulse
I don't know about Ether Vapor, but Eryi's Action is kinda like mario mixed with I Wanna Be The Guy and cuteness. Basically it's a trial and error platformer, which most deaths come from the strangest and funniest places.
Bunny Must Die or fuck you
So, is Croixleur Sigma just DMC4's Bloody Palace mode but with cute girls? It even looks like there's four way style switching or something close to that from seeing that weapon palette in the corner.
anything i should add?
already have 100 oj, 99 spirits, human tanks, van princess, ether vapor, bunny must die and la mulana
Also it's not really weapon switching. The different swords give you an unique special attack that consumes mana, ie spinning around, some sort of blade rush, an aerial dive, etc per sword. Other than that they all play the same even with the same range.
Anybody want to trade?
I have codes for 100% OJ, Mitsirugi, and Gigantic Army, looking for gifts/codes of any of the games on sale I don't have. I know a lot of these were bundled before
I don't like the Anime style nor Japanese games much.
Already have Wolfenstein: The New Order, Watch_Dogs, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Titanfall, games vastly supperior than that weeaboo crap.
REMINDER THAT WORLD END ECONOMY IS WRITTEN BY THE SPICE AND WOLF AUTHOR
I really hope there weren't any fake-Japanese games in those that I didn't already own, or I would look rather silly now.
Anybody tried this game yet? How is it? It's half price on Playism and you get a Steam key when it comes out this Fall apparently.
You tell me a faggot would enjoy a little girl's panties?
> want to share a Gigantic Army steam key with /v/ cause I'm never going to play it
> accidentally redeem it
Do I at least get trading cards if I let it idle?
We both start playing on the same dimension and see who saves it first.
You know that One Way Heroics has some online functionalities, right? You can see who is playing on the same dimension and how far they are, and eventually meet their ghosts if they die.
Version 1.74 here, not sure if it's a problem.
Let's play on the dimension THELOLIS
Mind you, all in caps. If you see some chara named "Musica" on the top left part of the screen, that's me.
What does it say on the top left of the screen? Online?
No they're just trying to scam the average steam user into buying that crap. Luckily most people don't play jap games outside of Mario, zelda, pokemon, metal gear, and smash so yeah I don't consider these steam games to be a big deal. Not worth trying out just skip them and buy a better game preferably a western one
How many other anons are there in THELOLIS right now?
Sorry to disappoint you anon.
Some of the basics are like Elona, grid movement, turn based, random gen, etc, but in general, the game is very different.
Seems like my version is too old.
Because Smash Bros is a mainstream Nintendo game franchise with a large fanbase. Even if the characters have anime-styled eyes like most of the Nintendo games have some anime influence, and 95% of them are made by the Japanese, nobody seems to mind them because they are made by Nintendo.
So calling the Smash fanbase "weeaboos" is lighting up the fire considering Smash is the most discussed in /v/ so far.
it seems i already bought the game during the last steam sale
i have not a single memory of buying the game
Well, someone was inspired by Gradius.
Might take some time to connect/show other people's statuses.
I started a new run,
on a higher difficulty. Expect to see another ghost.
Don't feed the troll. The anti-weebs always complain about anything Jap related because they think amurica makes the best games. They are delusional idiots and every post they make should just be ignored.
>only one decent fire emblem doujin
>only one decent dangan ronpa doujin
>shitcolle taking over touhou
>sadpanda ded in the water with many fan translator groups leaving
Are you ready for the shittiest comiket ever?
At least we'll get this, maybe
Most Anti-weebs are basement dwellers whose hobbies is to troll jap fans on the web. They whole existence and happiness thrives around trolling. The least-likely of the bunch to ever get a girl if they are even interested in one.
WOLF RPG Editor I think.
Gradius Gaiden x Salamander 2 x Thunder Force III
wow dude don't hurt youself on your edgy shaped fedore while you tip
don't tell me you haven't enjoyed a single barbie game in your miserable life
>he does not want to play as a cute girl
I don't know much about Japan but I do know that if you play these games in the US everyone is gonna think your really strange. Don't be surprised if you suddenly get called signaled out as a "homosexual" for playing these games even if you're not. That's just the way things are.
>Recettear is still not on sale
Fuck your greedy ass Recettear, I ain't buying you for full price.
Is Eryi's Action worth purchasing? It seems like silly fun, but I remember cat mario had really annoying physics which weren't that fun. Any other weeb recommendations would be appreciated.
OH NO, NORMALFAGS WILL THINK BADLY OF ME
MY LIFE CRUMBLES BEFORE MY EYES
Just play it man, it's fun.
Don't you like rollerdashing mechs?
Recettear was successful enough without big sales for them and now they also have other games to make money from.
>no sales outside of Steam allowed including keys
Carpe Fulgur are businessmen.
>looking at girls
I can't get over this logic, please explain.
Do you find Catwoman or Wonder Woman gay too?
So you don't lurch forward? Sounds alright, if it's got solid controls I'm fine with all the dirty shit they pull.
I think so, I only saw it briefly discounted during the summer sales.
Alright I'll give you the benefit of doubt
Bait or not trying to get a raise at everyone by acting like an unredeemable faggot will never accomplish anything, threads like these will be made until the end of time and there's nothing you can do to stop them.
It's bait folks, nobody this new would know what bait actually means here
If you want reaction image you could have asked anon
Looks like there's a little tiny bit of R-Type stuff too.
I never said I was against these games I just don't know about them. For man of us, these things are different to what we known. I never even heard of these games until Steam mentioned them.
>Don't be surprised if you suddenly get called signaled out as a "homosexual" for playing these games even if you're not
>I never said I was against these games
Steam is pushing out the option to hide games just in time.
Now they just need an adult section
I will pretend she is Yurika once I get the game.
Bought 100% OJ on groupees and the 10$ bundle.
100% OJ is great, although a bit repetitive if you're playing it alone
Ys Origin is fantastic. I had never played any Ys game before but holy shit I didn't know it was that good.
Astebreed is also really great.
Haven't played the rest yet
Why would we lie to you?
You're gonna have a splendid time. As long as you're not some casual fuck, that is.
Play Ys Origin on Hard, and then replay on Nightmare with the final unlockable character.
You ain't seen nothing yet, go check out Napishtim and Felghana for more good times. And of course, 1+2. But they're not as good as the later games, imo
First off, get La Mulana from Steam's sales.
Second, go to the humble weekly bundle. How many of these games do you have? If none, buy the 10$ tier.
Bam. You suddenly got a shitload of enjoyable, varied, and challenging games to play.
One Way Heroics was like 89 cents or something during the summer sale. I got it for free basically.
Somehow, out of all the shit I bought in the sale, that is the one which sucked up the most play time.
I wish Elona was still being updated and was on Steam.
Unholy heights - quirky management game where you're satan being the landlord of an apartment filled with monsters
Gigantic Army - 2D shootan based on stuff like Metal Warriors and Cybernator
One Way Heroics - Know these Megaman levels where you have to keep running right or you die? Combine that with a roguelike. (ACTUAL roguelike, not shitty 'roguelites' or whatever people call them.). Very polished and replayable.
Astebreed - Awesome mecha shooter. You can shoot, slice shit up with your blade.. lots of camera angle movements too, very dynamic.
Ys Origin - Kickass action RPG. Fight your way through a big tower, lots of awesome bosses, 3 characters to play as with some story variation.
La Mulana - one of the biggest and most challenging Metroidvanias. The less said, the better. Nab it.
All are worth the full asking price.
Passing on a bundle of these will be foolish.
>Know these Megaman levels where you have to keep running right or you die?
There's only one of those that I can think of, and that'd be Cossack stage 3. Really, auto scroll is more of a Mario thing.
What you get is what you see, imagine Metroid if Samus had a playboy bunny outfit and could manipulate time.
It's Daigo Counter : The Metroidvania.
If that sounds interesting to you, get it. It's very tough!
How many games do you know that let you parry LAVA?
Hmm. Valdis Story, and Dust an Elysian Tail.
Although, in these you get them a bit later on in the game.
In BmD it's available (and encouraged) right from the beginning.
On Easy Mode you have to sabotage yourself in order to lose. Normal is a fair challenge, and Hard can be quite overwhelming. Doing 50k runs on any difficulty is very hard.
Not at all, it's very much standalone.
All of the Ys games on Steam are great.
And, you should also grab Napishtim.
The Steam version is actually older than the one on the developer's site on top of that it's free on his site and the wikia. You're only paying for the translation really.
Of La Mulana? Well, the new one has better graphics, LOADS of polish, new music, harder bosses, some reworked puzzles, a bit less cryptic at parts... But still, very tough.
So are any of the bullet hell shmups on sale any good? They all look pretty generic, I'm wondering if any of them have anything that sets them apart from the pack or if they're just really well made. My favorite bullet hell shooter is Ketsui, so my standards are prettty high.
Yeah, MSX style graphics might be some people's thing, but I'd wager most would prefer the former. At the end , it's your call.
The original Valdis Story was going to be a full-featured free game, but development on it was cancelled and all that exists of it is a demo. The Valdis Story that everyone knows of on Steam is actually a sequal to it.
so what do I get, /v/? The games I already have are highlighted in green
Astebreed, WORLD END ECONOMiCA ep01 and Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae. Avoid Gunhound, the bindings are both shit and uneditable. You need a controller for that one to be playable.
Those people are idiots who can't handle simple jumping mechanics. Why people find the idea of not being able to modify your trajectory from a running jump so shocking I will never know.
I believe thats what they call a recession
I'm tempted by Economica. i can just meh at the beat 'em ups and the THE SCREEN IS NOW LAVA! avoidance gaems
But, on the other hand, it's 7 bucks for only a portion of a short story which may not even get finished.
>for only a portion of a short story which may not even get finished.
Season three when?
Just keep an eye on bundles, especially ones that haven't make it to steam and are still in greenlight hell. I got Croixleur for around 50 cents in a groupees bundle some time ago, and they gave me a key when it's on steam.
That's because Valve believes they won't sell enough for it to be worth it showing them. By hundred of those games and gift them to your friends so Valve sees the POWER OF THE WEEBS. Seriously. Why do you think Trails in the Sky appeared on the front page? Because Valve saw it was a top seller.
>He doesn't own Astebreed or World End Economica
