Do you think Nintendo would release GameCube VC games on the eShop after the release of the adapter?
If so, what would you like to see?
>WiiU is perfectly backwards compatible with Wii
>hardware-wise and shit
>can't run gamecube games that run perfectly on Wii
I thought you could already buy most gamecube games on the nintendo store.... definitely makes getting the wii u less appealing to me.
Still, I want it for Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, some Zelda games like Skyward Sword, TPP, Remake of Windwaker.
Would pay for Melee, Custom Robo, Soul Caliburs and a few others in a heartbeat.
I think nintendo missed a golden opportunity to get away from the gc controller. The wiiu pro controller is really good. The only knock on it is non-pressure triggers. They should have just made usb versions of it.
Please don't tell me your using the offical wii/any wii ethernet adapter. Those drop your internet speed(on wii u) to that of the wii. Also get your self an ac powered hdd. I got a 1tb from toshiba or somethign idk.
well i think the point would be if they wanted to just pander to more competitive players. which i know is kind of unlikely, but if they think it'd make them enough money they would do it.
I never beat Luigis Mansion. I was one ghost away from the final boss and couldnt find it. Still haunts me to this day
I mean general tourneyfags, not just Melee/Smash tourneyfags. They want to be on the scene, but with their new game.
Also, Melee tourneyfags are perfectly content playing on the Gamecube. I highly doubt an HD remaster would sell well.
WiiU pro controller is the best controller
holy shit that comfy
that 90 hours battery life
that using it on my PC to play stuff like MGR and dark souls 2
You're retarded, the only thing that would happen is casual elitists would claim sakurai is pandering to tourney fags and anytime there was a gameplay complaint they would say "you already have melee hd why do you need another one?"
Do I think they will? No. They still haven't managed more than one SNES game per month, and the Wii-mode games are nigh unplayable unless you go and find an OLD controller classic.
They've started on GBA now (joy) and haven't managed any N64 yet either.
I have no fucking idea what is wrong with them.
It's kind of frustrating how nintendo completely lacks foresight in certain things. The lack of a wired primary controller, ethernet port, good online, account systems, etc. I mean they make solid games but damn it feels like they are a generation behind everywhere else
I'm not thinking of an HD remaster on it's own. Tweaking the game to make it more balanced and give it good online play and people would eat that shit up. It's like free money. I'd buy it and I'm not even a tourneyfag, it's just more Smash to play.
>Check back regularly for the latest releases, including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems.
I don't bother buying anything virtual console no matter how far up they go, because emulating that stuff is piss-easy. I've still got a soft-modded Wii that I can play all the pirated copies of Metroid Prime and Red Steel 2 I want, no need to actually buy those just to have them on a newer device.
They need to hire more people. Just fucking churn out SNES/N64. When I go on my ps3 and see HOW MUCH PSX/PS2 is available it makes me depressed. I want to play games, nintendo, with my money that I will give to you. Why won't you let me.
No fuck that fucking shit!
I hated the shitty idea of having mem card slots on the wii with no way of saving to the wii directly.
Fuck memorycard slots and just go with saving to the internal memory
I still don't think it would be that popular. Melee tourneyfags don't make up as big of a part of the fanbase as you might think. And the ones willing to shell out extra for a remaster (even with tweaks) would be even fewer.
>implying they won't just make nintenbabbies pay $60 for the games again
Trash in what way? It works fucking great, aside for games that you need to download a diferent region version like eternal darkness. I've been playing THPSU like a madman yesterday
I have 35+ gamecube games on my collection, but it's more convenient in a usb, you don't risk your discs being fucked
I say that because it's a picky piece of shit software when it comes to HDD. The external I have now plat Wii games just fine, and I'll be damned if I'm going to waste money on another just to play 7 or so Gamecube games. Emulation is much easier.
Enjoy ruining the gamecube side of your Wii as half your discs don't work anymore and fucked up audio in others. Metroid Prime has no music now.
Playing gamecube TP and Chibi Robo was fun at first but I seriously regret putting Dios Mios on my Wii. Was just thinking of getting a second Wii anyway just so have something that can play Gamecube games with Progressive scan.
>bundle one of these with the GC controller adapter
>release system update unlocking GC mode in the Wii Menu
There you go.
Paper Mario games are made when a few guys at Nintendo have an unproven concept to make the core of a new game. As much as I like them though, Nintendo is kind of strapped for new ideas. Oh well, maybe someday.
>dust covered piece of shit sat by my TV
Dust it off, for one. Keep a clean house, you fucking pig. Having the system powered on or not has shit to do with dust.
Second, get yourself some fucking Mario Kart and Tropical Dong.
I want to play Four Swords Adventures with five Gamecubes, five TVs, four game boy players, eight link cables, and four GBAs before I die.
Four Swords Adventures is meant to be played with 1 Gamecube and 4 GBAs. You would use a special link cable to connect the GBAs to the Gamecube. The GBA screen would relay extra information, kinda like the Wii U gamepad.
There is also the Game Boy Player, which played GBA games on a Gamecube. You could connect the link cable to this instead of a GBA.
The Game Boy Player either lets you use a Gamecube controller, or a GBA via another link cable.
My nigga. I wish I would like to play like this.
I only play FSA with an Gameboy Advance, to increase fun.
And to imagine that I'm playing an Wii U.
There was a Timesplitters 2 HD port in the works but nobody knows what happened to it. Presumably it died with Free Radical but it could be floating around somewhere.
Off the top of my head
NBA Street V3
Kirby Air Ride
Super Monkey Ball series
SSX On Tour
Mario Party 5
Incredibles 2: Rise of the Underminer
Naruto: Clash of the Ninja
Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc
Tak and the Power of Juju
Battle for Bikini Bottom
Dolphin runs the game at 1080p, and netplay is technically online multiplayer.
