I really like Untold, it fixes stuff from the old game and you can play the classic mode so it's literally the DS one but extremely polished. Story mode helps you get some classes for Classic mode though.

The story mode is okay, it's nothing you haven't seen before but the characters are nice enough and if you can't handle regular Etrian imagination whatever then it's cool. It's also much less broken than EO1 and not as tedious as it could get, although it sort of sucks that they lock out content from the story mode in classic mode.

I can understand this sentiment. Immunize is extremely OP, and I want to really kick the translator in the ass as more than a few descripts on skills are outright wrong, or duplicated.

Raising a Ronin on just that is a pain in the ass. Further, the Radha Hall index doesn't show enemy weaknesses once you put them in. That's just bloody lazy. I shouldn't have to wiki that shit.

I don't get it, EOU was made by a company with tons of experience in great dungeon crawlers and is a remake of a great classic, Demon Gaze did everything EOU tried, but 10 times better.

And Demon Gaze was a literal turboweeb pandering dungeon crawler with tons of fanservice and sex jokes. It somehow had a skill system that was similar to the Grimoire system, but wasn't shitty. It had a forced protagonist, and party creation together. Dungeons weren't chock full of cutscenes, but still had a story going on. And despite being an incredibly budget game, the Artifact skill system allowed you to so all sorts of crazy stuff instead of EOU and it's bland as fuck Grimoire system.

Hexer is actually simplistic and entirely accurate. It takes a verb and adds an occupational suffix to it. A hexer is a curse maker. Both are parallel and not using dated/fancy language. A hexer is a curse maker, but a bard is not a troubadour.

Minstrel would have been better than both but Troubadour is still more accurate than Bard for the role. Bard is only used because of its usage in D&D.
