So, let's work out the logistics of the Mario canon using this approach mixed with >>256346702. Nintendo acts whenever and however they want to act. You do realize that the issue was more or less the same for Rosalina just prior to last year, right? Probably even worse, since Rosalina could only get into games that mattered and Daisy could only get into games that didn't matter, which sounds better for Rosalina but the amount of games that don't really matter far exceed the number of ones that do.

Anyways, Nintendo will act if they see a reason to. Sometimes that might be a fandom, but in pretty much every scenario they do something for a character, it's always for a purpose. I'm sure Wario and Yoshi had fans before they got their own games, but ultimately Nintendo probably wanted to use them for games that they wanted to make, with their fans being a reason to reinforce their decisions. I'm sure the idea to use Rosalina in 3D World and Smash had fans in mind as they pretty much flat out said for 3D World, but the gameplay purposes she served were needed in order to even justify the notion of appeasing to fans. Hell, I haven't heard of much of a fandom for Captain Toad, but he got his own game because they thought they could make one out of the levels they did for 3D World.

I guess Daisy is in that tricky position where there isn't as much to give her gameplay-wise. I mean, you have greed for Wario, eggs for Yoshi, space/Lumas for Rosalina, and treasure hunting for Captain Toad, but what exactly do you make Daisy do? I think >>256354068 has the right idea.
