Well if you don't mind crazy spoilers here you go.
in FE 1 Marth kills a big bad evil dragon god. Awakening take place thousands of years later. Bad guy wants to revive dragon god so he makes a mortal to hold the soul and basically the the holder. That's robin. He inevitably winds up in a field with amnesia and is found by Chrom. Yadda yadda ya, big adventure, the power of friendship, and finally robin and Chrom kill the big bad guy who wanted to bring back evil dragon. Unfortunately right after, grima takes over robin, he kills Chrom, then becomes evil dragon and annihilates everybody. Lucina who is daughter of Chrom and all the other children years later or something decide they've lost and go back in time to try and stop shiz. Dragon robin follows them back in time.

This time story goes similar except after killing bad guy who wants to bring back dragon, this robin from the new timeline doesn't go evil because Lucina was there to be his waifu unfortunately evil dragon robin who followed them turns into evil dragon again anyways for some reason. So the final battle if you (the good robin) fighting evil alt timeline dragon robin. The end
And there's also some completely stupid war with another country in the middle of the game for some reason that's completely irrelevant.

Will probably be on the next end of year / beginning of year direct.
Neither FE or SMT have really been E3 stuff, so I doubt they'll do the first gameplay trailer there.

I don't know what I want more, a first-person dungeon crawler or an overhead SRPG.

Probably will not be released in my lifetime though, so no use getting too excited.
