There's no plan for that currently. I think it would be okay to let the player "customize" Senpai at the beginning of the game, but not choose boys from a list.

The "customization" would come in the form of Yandere-chan daydreaming about what her ideal boyfriend would look like.

Make it easier to target something nearby for actions.

Don't under estimate sound work make sure you get the sounds each character should make right.

Before I release a playable demo, I'd want to have a target girl and at least 10 ways to kill her. Stuff like:

1. Stab/Bludgeon/Strangle, dispose of body.
2. Push off rooftop
3. Push down stairs
4. Drown in toilet bowl
5. Frame her for one of your crimes, getting her arrested
6. Frame her for breaking school rules, getting her expelled
7. Convince the rest of the girls to bully her until she commits suicide
8. Find out who else in the school she has a crush on, and set her up with that boy instead.

I love how in Hitman you can save multiple times during a mission, so I'll strive to add that feature to Yandere Sim. I can't promise it yet, though, so the player might only be able to save at "checkpoints" throughout the day (homeroom, lunch break, after school, etc).

The game is supposed to be about feeling like a predator preying on defenseless victims; like being the monster in a horror film.

It’s easy to get a messy kill. It’s difficult to get a clean kill. It’s very challenging to pull off the perfect crime. You will have the freedom to slaughter schoolgirls indiscriminately, but you will also have to deal with the consequences of doing so.

I might implement “Hit buttons in a sequence” kills if I have a 3D animator who can animate all of the outcomes of failing each button in that sequence. But without the resources to do otherwise, I’ll probably just leave it at “Press X to kill” for now.

I’ll consider changing it after the playable demo is out and people provide their feedback.

You gotta spice it up with several real boss fights.
The delinquent girl would obviously fight back, for instance. And maybe the class president has several goons who gang up on you and you have to desperately knife them before they rape you.
It would be good variety for the gameplay and also some character development.
Maybe if you set up the perfect murder you can cheap shot the boss girl with a special kill scenario, but if you haven't planned ahead enough you have to play the default boss fight.

If you are trying to make the main character sympathetic then you make the murder victims ahve negative traits so they are more deserving.
If you are trying to portray her as an antihero then you should give each girl very positive traits so the contrast for the player having to kill them is more stark and depraved.
Personally I'll lean toward each victim being likeable to give the game more shock value and help characterize the main character as actually insane instead of a vigilante.

I think different pictures should have different values. Like a picture of a girl's breasts in the changing room is worth 3 or 4 panty shots. Also, maybe the guys you trade information with have different preferences. Like one guy likes plain white pantsu while another likes ones with strawberries on them or something.

There are several talented people who have volunteered to help me out in their free time. A character artist, a character modeller, a girl who can do a great "Yandere" voice, a few musicians, a storyboard artist, a few writers, etc. But there's no "official" team or solid group.

I love all of the people who have chipped in and contributed some art assets so far, but they are not my "employees" or anything of the sort.

Yeah, Yandere-chan's room is a playable area. So far I haven't though of much that can be done there, just arranging photographs of Senpai on a corkboard, checking out your shrine to Senpai, and choosing which panties to wear (panties grant you buffs).
