I have gone out of the map several times and it has been interesting. Unfortunately, most the time I get glitched the fuck out and can't teleport out.

I'm playing FFXIV and actually enjoying it, much to my surprise. I'm probably going to get Summoner tonight. I decided to go Summoner before I'd played the game, and after seeing the Summons in game I'm really disappointed. Hopefully they change the implementation later. At least we know they're not afraid of a re-do
I got wildstar a few weeks ago, and I haven't touched it in days. I got to like lvl 17 and I REALLY wanted to get to the end game because the raids look fun but: >You can't get excited by gear. >>255510448 Honestly, I really liked Wildstar. Dungeons being challenging again was great. What wasn't great, however, was the fucking attunement quest since it required you to do the dungeons pretty much perfectly. Which no one wanted to repeat after doing that once, since the loot you get there is a pretty small upgrade. Also, they clearly released too early. It took them about two months to patch the most annoying stuff (although I can only talk for Espers, since I played one) and make the game seem somewhat complete. Performance being ass doesn't help, either.

The only challenging part was the attunement. But it was only challenging because the game was so poorly balanced and pretty much required warrior stacking for their OP as fuck damage buff.
And yeah, the class design in general was just ass. No variety, all DPS play essentially the same, you can't even look unique because how the armor is set up: everyone just ends up looking like a giant bright colored blob.

That said, I had more of a challenge doing WoW challenge mode dungeons than I did beating the time in the Wildstar dungeons. The challenge mode was about proper cooldown usage, dodging shit, and proper potion usage.
Wildstar attunement is about spamming buffs as fast as you can, and if you fail, going and grinding what gear you can and going back.

Dungeons in Wildstar are utter shite and the added timer just make them a slogfest. Even when we got to raiding most of my guild just quit due to burnout.

When it comes to Tanaan jungle: they wrote themselves into a corner. They didn't want to kill off the Iron Horde at the start of the expansion, but they also needed somewhere for them to go. Tanaan Jungle is that place. So they either had to make a zone that they knew they'd have to completely redo, or just hold off for a later patch.

Awesome. but the way they handle it in games now is just awful, completely taking away from exploration and adventure which is a huge point of MMORPGs and RPGs in general.
Though to be fair, FFXIV is as streamlined and casual as any MMORPG can EVER be.
