recent purchases thread?
got this for $2 at my local media store.
do you guys really not buy physical copies anymore or something?
>people don't like my thread
>maybe I should bitch and moan about how people don't like my thread
Man, that brings me back. As a kid, I was at a flee market with my parents, seeing that game. I remembered loving Kirby on the NES and so I NEEDED that game. I begged my parents, but as they seemingly refused, I was on the verge of crying, my world shattered.
>tfw going back to the car extremely sad only to sit down on something hard on my seat and discovering that its this fucking gem which my parents surprised me with.
Bought this game at a local place that sells old games and shit.
I used to own it back in the day.
Fuck I forgot how punishing deaths were
>tfw I play it more than the 100's of games I have on my filthy compoooter
It could be worse faggot. Last time I saw a recent purchases thread it was overrun with emulationfags bitching about how people spend their money, and some faggot saying anyone who buys physical copies of old games is a hoarder.
Hey you reminded me I got some free gamecube game at a local store. Just asked the guy behind the counter how much was Mario football on his desk and he just gave it to me.
But then there were many gamecube discs in the box.
Goblin Commander, Mario Tennis, Rainbow six 3, Donkey konga, Kao the kangaroo round 2, and Prince of persia.
BUT NO MARIO FOOTBALL, WHAT THE FUCK MAN
Just bought this baby last saturday, 12dlls, perfect condition. Had Seasons since thw day it came out, now finally I have both.
Oh I forgot to post this
picked it up for $53
pretty good condition, havent popped it in the wii yet but there aren't any prominent scratches or anything like that on the disk
the art booklet has a little rip on it which kinda pisses me off
Meh I already had it.
I really wanted to try mario football so this was somewhat disapointing.
Still worth it for goblin commander, PoP and Donkey konga.
No idea if the rainbow six is good.
It's pretty bad. It's pretty much Taiko no Tatsujin, but with probably the single worst tracklist I've ever heard in a rhythm game. The only good songs are the vidya based ones.
the actual N64, Wario Land 1, and Oracle of Ages along with an Expansion pack
$400+ in less than a week.
I've been trying to grab Mario Party 3 since my cart broke, I had no idea N64 games were this fucking expensive now. I've got like a thousand dollars in N64 games in my drawer.
Donkey konga is pretty fun.
First one has the best soundtrack imo, but might be a little too easy, especially the 4 player mode.
Also there is a special mode where you don't see what notes you should play on the partition (just blanks barrels), it's completely retard and nobody should bother with it
Mini games are god tier though.
Donkey konga 2 soundtrack is more pop.I don't like it as much but it still allright.
Multiplayer is greatly enhanced, and partitions are generally more interesting.
Mini games aren't as fun sadly.
I even bought Donkey konga 3 but I can't save it because you need a japanese memory card. Trying to get one.
Of course the real god-tier konga game is jungle beat. Everybody should play that for sure.
speaking of EU setlist though, but it's pretty close to US iirc.
Spent a couple hundred so far. Working at a local video game store helps a ton!
I also got a 360 a couple months ago...
Looking at the list on Wikipedia, You guys have Tubthumping, 99 Red Balloons, and don't have to deal with the travesty that is Diddy's Ditties. That alone makes the EU setlist 100 time better.
I love how I own 70% of those games and they were my childhood, enjoy Pokemon puzzle league man that game is the absolute shit to play with friends. It can become very competitive when you get good at it.
I used to think Mario tennis was one of the best for gamecube, but then I played Beach spikers.
Controls are even easier to learn and yet you can quickly have good, fun and tactics match in the 4 player mode.
yeah yeah. I played this shit out of that and am considering just getting it, but at the same time, I intend on buying an Xbone one day, so there's that whole collection.
Yeah I kinda just got it becaue it was 99 cents. Gamestop is weird with their pricing on games.
Got all of these for 40 bucks.
Gotta love kijiji.
>I even bought Donkey konga 3 but I can't save it because you need a japanese memory card. Trying to get one.
Can't you just reformat a blank memory card to allow japanese games save to it in-game?
Way to waste your money on the most dumbed down game out of the series.
Condemned 1 & 2 are fucking golden though.
If you haven't played 2 yet, prepare to be disappointed in the last few sections of the game, otherwise it's solid and pretty enjoyable.
>400 dollars for all that
Shit, I've got like triple that amount of games. I've been slowly expanding my collection by browsing dimple records every now and then. I think the last thing I got was get force gemini for three dollars.
played it again the other night
I got a massive headache from the turning sensitivity.
I saw it at the store I got these from. it was like $35
My mother lost my original collection though a good portion of what I used to own is in there. about half of it is stuff i never owned but played with friends all the time at their house since they owned it. If I can ever end up finding my original collection, I'll be getting the money I spent back.
there is still another $300 worth of games I'm looking for to finish my N64 collection
Conker is fucking $86. gotta save up for that shit
Recently I got a baseball game still wrapped in plastic for my virtual boy.
Fun fact: when this game was demoed at E3, it was such a bugged incomplete piece of shit that it was literally impossible to hit the ball.
Anyway, I'm one step closer to completing my virtual boy collection.
I paid $5 at a used game store for this.
They had DQVIII behind a shelf for
$70. Don't think I have the money for that kind of purchase, though.
I thought I could and I actually reformat a memory card without noticing it (cuz japanese). And yet I can't save.
I was careless since I had japanese games that could save with no problem before, it depends on the game.
For example I have Super robot wars GC and I can create a save file but it will always be corrupted.
The problem is that when you reformat it takes into accounts the region of your console and not the one of the game.
So you have to do the reformat on a jap console or have a used jap memory card on your hand.
It wasn't shitty for the time.
But of course you don't know that because you weren't alive then. You're a teenage tripcunt who gets opinions on old games from angry nerd and other "retro reviewers"
Which one are you talking about, Condemned 2 or Fable 3?
Because even the disappointing parts of Condemned 2 had some entertainment value, whilst not even my little sister could enjoy Fable 3 and she's the biggest Fable fan I know.
She played through the Lost Chapters and 2 so many times, but barely managed to make it through 3.
Buying up all my old childhood GBC/GBA games, so far I've bought pic related, Pokemon Blue and Yellow, Link's Awakening DX, FFIV for GBA.
Looking for reasonably priced Pokemon Red, FFV and VI for GBA in good condition boxes next.
Buying boxed GBC/GBA games is pretty fucking expensive though, don't think I'll be expanding the library much.
>mfw I got a sealed FF4 for 30 buckeroos this week
All of my damn Pokemon's for GBC are fucking broken. They made those things terribly, My silver, my gold, and my yellow all need their fucking batteries replaced AGAIN. Only my blue and read never fail me.
That's my 'ol faithful Blue, got it when it was released as well and played it constantly, still has my save. The Red I bought online a couple years back still has my save, but I don't know if the battery was replaced or not. My Silver, Gold, and Yellow just keep dying, and dying, and dying. Keep having to replace the batteries. Starting to think it's some sort of other problem, I bought them used over ebay so... I don't know.
