holy shit why don't they make a fucking nintendo theme park already
imagine a space mountain/star tours type ride where you ride the great fox through space battles with fox and the team making commentary while https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6543T0HI50 plays
imagine a fucking F-Zero high speed roller coaster
imagine an ambient ass haunted mansion-style metroid walkthrough
the possibilities are fucking endless
god fucking dammit
>Mario Kart Race Track
>Nintendo Princesses and Mascots
>get Princess Peach's autograph in a autograph book like the ones they have at Disney World
>there is a lipstick marking next to the signature
When I saw them announcing Nintendo Land, I was shocked by the description. I don't remember the words, but it was basically "Imagine a Nintendo theme park...well, here's a GAME of one!"
I was on the edge of my seat until they revealed it was a game. It's a great game, but an ACTUAL Nintendo Land would melt my brain. Damn it Nintendo, please make a theme park. They have mascots that are more publicly recognizable than Disney. They have opened "themepark-like" attractions to promote different game launches. If they made a theme park, they would make too much money.
>Haunted Mansion ride
>not Luigi's Mansion
>You'll never race a guy in a penguin suit down a huge slide.
Imagine carrying a mock poltergust around on your back.
Metroid laser tag with arm cannons and shit, my god.
Maybe in a water park. Idk but it's a fucking idea.
Multiple F-Zero Rollercoasters, one for different tracks please! It would break my balls.
Mario obstacle course, grab some shit around the course with friends with score/time attack.
Mario Kart is obvious.
A fuggin arcade.
Some crazy pikmin shit I don't even know.
Some crazy Zelda shit I don't even know.
I have a idea
Instead of a giant theme park, what about different lands in other theme parks around the globe that have mostly the same rides? So one would be in say Disney World in America while another could be at Alton Towers in the UK and one more could be in either Canada or Japan.
>Walking around a Castle Town version of Main Street
>Happy Mask Salesman runs a Shop where you can Buy Zelda Merchandise.
Easily mushroom kingdom. Mario is the flagship mascot of Nintendo, and kids would recognize Mario over pretty much anybody else.
Hell, i wouldn't doubt if most kids today know who Mario is over Mickey mouse.
So like one of those bungie systems? Y'know what? That would work in a Bowser's Castle course. High ceilings and platforms. If you fall down, gotta walk around to a ladder at the last platform or something. Tell me that shit would not sell like hotcakes.
That would be sick.
We need to email all of these ideas to Nintendo. Holy shit.
>mfw when I go on Space Mountain I play Space Battleground from Star Fox Assault in my headphones
>make a Star Fox roller coaster
>have 2 track to choose: Star Fox and Star Wolf
I have an idea
>Pikmin Beanbag Toss
>Throw Beanbags with the Pikmin's faces on them into the Bulborbs open mouths to win plushies
>Metroid shooting game.
>You and a few other people put on arm cannons.
>Walk through planet Zebes, shooting any enemies you see.
>Fight Ridley at the end.
>The person with the most points (kills) wins.
they have a ride like that at disneyland called buzz lightyear's astro blasters and that idea is way cooler in concept than in reality
granted astro blasters is on rails but still
>can plug in any and every single nintendo portable console with a pokemon game to have a match
heck not only pokemon but a lot of the park could be build around a sort of augmented reality based on what portable nintendo game you're currently carrying with you.
so what would the various zones be? Course there'd be a mushroom kingdom, a hyrule zone and a pokemon world but apart from those? the other nintendo games aren't big enough to have a section by themselves
I'd say the rides being partially integrated with a DS/3DS function wouldn't be impossible
nothing to fancy but maybe things like getting minor unlockables like you already get from nintendo events by scanning a post at the exit of a ride based on said game would be within nintendo's abilities
>Little Details like pic related Painted on the back of the sign in one of the Zelda Attractions
>Kirby: Ride Beyond Dreamland
>Ride inside the Starship from Super Star in a on rails shooting game (like the ones you see with the LED lights and racking up points) you start in Dreamland but eventually end up in outer space where you fight Master Hand and stuff
The picture is just concept. Of course they wouldn't be stock images and they'd obviously redo them. Would of drew my own but that takes effort
FUCK I FORGOT THE PICTURE
Now here's the question:
What song do they play when doing the fireworks display over Peach's Castle?
I suppose they could do several. But what should the highlight be?
Didn't Ashley Burch and her bitchfit brother make a video about something like this a few years back?
on the topic of nintendo land, miiverse won't let me post this screenshot for some odd reason but here it does
Start with SMB3 Coin Heaven Music, 2 songs that change everyday, Comet Observatory, Rainbow Road, 2 songs that change everyday, and then end the finale with an extended version of the Level Complete theme
>Ride under maintenance
>a sign near the entrance says "Please Understand"
I love these threads
Clicked on the thread looking for this one.
A bunch of nerds a real-life Mario Kart system. If they could work out some of the kinks and make it safe for mass numbers of random individuals to play, it would be awesome.
>Ride the banjo Kazooie ride
>Awesome music, fucking swamp with sponge textured floor
>Have heaps of fun
>Ride banjo tooie
>Fucking awesome vibrant feeling
>Sock puppet men land in the cart and everyone gets to take one home
And to finish it off
>Ride the banjo nuts and bolts cart
>Sit in cart
>Feel a pressure plate press down as I sit on it
>small plate of shit flies off a spring in the floor and hits me in the face
>New crew comes and takes the shift, tells me to fuck off
>Ice Cream Parlor in Mushroom Kingdom section playing this over speakers
Yeah, there are a few of them, they seem rad as fuck.
There is like a bumper car ride, but the bumper cars are tanks and you shoot each other.
There is a roller coaster where they give everyone laser tag type guns, and you have to shoot targets while on the coaster,
Crazy shit like that, I don't remember the other rides they have, but they're really different from regular theme parks.
>Halloween, get chased in an abandoned space center by SA-X
Because it would cost a shit load of money and the payoff wouldn't be good enough. Nintendo is all about spending as little money as possible and then getting back a shit ton of money.
They had sega world in Sydney Australia way back in 2000. Went under though. Read the wikipedia page - it's a sad story.
>all the arcade cabs and rides were auctioned off for cheap
>ever being acknowledged
An actually good idea
Took me clicking on too many links already posted to see this, glad that someone else knew the right track.
I never understood this
Mother is beloved in Japan, and if there's ever a Nintendo theme park, it'd probably be there.
It's not getting a new game because Itoi doesn't want to make one. But it's still very popular.
>Banter between Palutena and Pit during the ride.
So it's agreed that the park should be split into sections like Disney Land right? We got:
The equivalent of Mickey's Toontown, with a bunch of Mushroom huts scattered around. A full-scale version of N64 Peach's Castle is in the center of the park, with an orchestrated version of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpOP0L3A7_Q playing inside. Other attractions include a Bowser's Castle interactive coaster ride and Luigi's Mansion. Mario Karts are located nearby.
A DKC inspired area with palm trees and Huts and banana stands. Nearby is a separate Yoshi's Island (Includes Kirby stuff) that's designed for toddlers.
Designed to be more focused around the fantasy-style games in Nintendo's lineup, focuses on rides inspired by LoZ, Kid Icarus, and Fire Emblem. Live Shows are performed on the hour, each hour re-enacting a different Zelda game.
The Sci-fi zone of the park, focuses on F-Zero, Starfox, and Metroid. Has the most Roller Coasters and interactive rides
The Pokemon side of things. Includes areas where people can bring their 3DSs and perform VR Pokemon battles like fights in Yugioh. Pokemon Snap safari included
The retro area of the park, with rides based on all of nintendo's other franchises like Punch Out, Ice Climbers, and Game and Watch. Includes a large arcade with tons of Nintendo games, including brand new F-Zero AX arcade cabinets.
Three trains go around the Park making stops at each area: The K64, The Spirit Train, and The Paradise Special
>Animal Crossing area
>no rides or anything, just a place to rest up and chill a bit
>at the center they plant a tree that's been there since the day the park opened and let it grow as the park ages
>right next to that tree is a giant stand where you can buy hats based on either villagers or clothing items that appear in the series (like the male villager's bull horns cap and female's hat)
>New Leaf day to night music playing all over, changing whenever an hour passes
>there's a coffee shop based on Brewster's cafe in Wild World
>every Saturday night someone will go on the stage in the cafe and take requests for what KK songs to play live
>DJ KK comes out to the entrance of the park on special events (like for example if it's a popular series' 25th anniversary or something on that day he'll play a medley of that series)
>Zora's Domain, Tetra's Ship
Submerged Castle slide
Like people have said elsewhere, this is a billion dollar decision. If it's not a billion dollars, then it's hundreds of millions of dollars.
They didn't add gay people in Tomodachi Life because of a twitter campaign, that was a minor bug fix; they're not going to base a billion dollar decision because some people demanded it on Miiverse.
They're aware of the pros and cons of a real-life NintendoLand
I'm aware of that. What we need to do is first just get the idea to Nintendo. Spark some interest. From that, maybe they could consider it and think of some ideas on how it could work.
Also, it's not like it needs to be a full-blown billion dollar theme park right away. They could start small and make it bigger as it gets more popular.
>Going to a theme park just to go to an arcade
> You are now Imagining an indoor Mario coaster ala aerosmith ride with Star powerup neon lights going off like crazy while the star theme plays.
It was never plausible, the time for a Nintendo theme park was in the late 80s when Nintendo was bigger than ever. Today it would cost far too much and would file for bankrupty in a year.
I hate to be negative -- I would love VR pokemon battling, Mario Kart racing, and that Animal Crossing hangout place where the AC music plays in real life, and I guess it wouldn't hurt if the Miiverse crowd got riled up about a potential Nintendo theme park, haha
For MK, it would be cool if the cars were hooked up to computers, and if you ran into obstacles, the computers slowed down your vehicles momentarily (bananas not so much, blue shell a lot, etc.) I'm pretty sure computers have that technology
Well, there was a place in Japan called Mario Factory but I don't know much about it and it closed down now. I think it just had arcades and live shows.
All I have of it are pictures of the Peach over the food area.
>Castle DeDeDe Resturaunt
>All you can eat Buffets everywhere
>Daily Gourmet Races where 2 people race each other while eating at the same time
>Some guy in a Kirby Costume can cook food at your table
>And if you are an Asshole to him he will throw you into a Pot of Boiling Water and kick you out
Have any of you ever ridden the Cars ride in California Advenutre? That shit would work perfectly for Mario Kart. You get in a car, then it goes through a car factory and it's like one of those Disney rides that's just going around looking at stuff, but when you exit the factory you're side by side with another car of people, then there's a countdown and the roller coaster begins with the both of you "racing."
We need to plan a date, time, etc.
Is anyone here good at drawing? Maybe practice drawing some ideas for rides (or some of the rides that were mentioned in this thread) and then when we do the Miiverse thing, draw those with your message.
Here's one I just found on google images of the front.
Because it would miss the point. Nintendo could pull it off because they have the strong IPs that they could take advantage off, and not many others have that. Maybe Capcom, but that's it/
I'd love this too. Just imagine running around a full-featured nintendo theme park as your Mii, getting collectibles like plushies, playing themed mini-games, visiting main attractions, and doing it online with your friends miis. With museum exhibits...it'd be great!
What would a
Mother/Earthboundthemed attraction be like?
You walk into a small, comfortable house, sit down for a bite to eat, walk upstairs and lie in bed then wake up feeling refreshed, and are kindly asked to leave, offered a handshake, hug, or high-five. Told to do your best and never forget you have people who love you and care about you.
no crying until the end.
That sounds good to me. We should probably make sure more people in this thread are good with that so we all agree on the time.
Also, maybe we should advertise this on /v/ leading up to Friday? Make threads about it and stuff.
>We'll have to make Threads leading up to it.
>OC Drawing would help get the threads noticed.
Also this. And we'll need good artists to make drawings on the actual Miiverse posts.
>Also do you think we'll need to ask other sites?
It would definitely help out a lot. Should we do it?
Oh shit, I forgot about Twitter. Yeah, we should probably get that trending on Friday too.
Or maybe we could start it on Thursday to get it snowballing, and by Friday it would be more popular.
>you will never watch a classically trained method actor do this shit for you irl
After we decide on the time we do this.
>Flood Miiverse with post about it(on a board that makes sense)
>Flood Nintendo's Twitter
>Flood Nintendo's Facebook
>Post OC drawings of Concepts
>Might have to multiple times
we might wanna work out the details in a later thread.
>entire area of the park based on Pikmin with everything done to scale
Maybe in future threads we make about this, we'll find people who can do draw some conceps. Or we could always try to get people from other forums. But if we wait too long, it'll be too late. We need to either find some artists soon, or push the date back.
This thread has been going on for awhile and a lot of ideas have already been thought of, so I guess now would be a good time.
We could get the new thread going to let people know about it. Find artists, get people prepared, maybe get people to go on different forums. And we'll need to set an official date soon, too.
Who should make it? I could make it but I would need to plan out what I'm going to say and get all of the details. Unless someone else thinks they could do a good job of it?
oh come on anon, like this wouldn't be great to see while you're high as a kite
>Bayonetta working in the Pach's Castle Bakery with a bunch of Toads
>She wearing an apron and miniature toad hat while in costume
You could say the same thing about Disney. Why would the parks even exist? Just watch the movies.
How about an Fzero thing that is like one of those things that are used to train astronauts but instead of being an open thing where you can see everything its like a little thing done up like the inside of an Fzero car with screens that show random fzero racetracks?
>Nintendo Land becomes the new Disney Land
Disney eventually ends up buying a share with Nintendo
Nintendo wracking in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ON-7v4qnHP8
> a fast as fuck Rainbow Road coaster in the style of the MK7 RR
which cuts into the F-Zero X RR for a couple of seconds with a new remix of its theme and racers all over the place
>On a monorail to the main entrance from the parking area
>It goes through a tunnel
>Mario's voice comes on through the loudspeaker
>"Welcome to Nintendo Land! Enjoy your stay! Wahoo!"
>This starts playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTnujailcZM
>Right at the end of the song you exit the tunnel and see the entirety of the park from above
>This starts playing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GF3JYa0ql4&t=20s
YOUR FACE WHEN
This got me excited just typing it up.
That would be better suited for the Animal Crossing section. We had an idea for a pokemon battle arena with holographic pokemon.
Ill give it 5 more minutes until I post the new thread, just recapping the best of this thread.
Maybe the OC for the thread's OP image could be like this
>There are people in this thread right now who have never ridden the shinkansen to Tokyo Disneyland
Animal Crossing would be Deluxe, easy. Mario is Value, but I don't know a good one for Moderate that isn't Pokemon. Maybe Zelda, but that's too easy.
Pokemon is big enough to be its own park. I had an idea for a slow ride attraction like the Epcot ball that would go through all the Pokemon types.
Actually, now that I think about it, a Pokemon park could be a combination of Animal Kingdom and Epcot. You could have a sort oh hologram Poekmon zoo, a Pokemon Snap attraction, and the world section of Epcot could have stores from all the known regions.
>Nintendo somehow gets their hands on this thread
>builds a themepark in either California (America), Gold Coast (Australia) or some other place where there are lots of theme parks
>positive reception, everyone loves it
>people travel far and wide to visit
>2 years later it closes down because novisitors
Admit it, it's true. All of these ideas are nice, but they're ultimately one-off gimmicks. You'd do it once, have your fill, "man that was awesome" and proceed to never even think about it again. A themepark in this day and age is a sure-fire way to lose money.
How can they have a sustainable business which has very few returning customers?
>my reaction when entering the front gate of the park
Paramount is building a theme park in Spain with an entire wild west world dedicated to the animated film Rango. A fine film, but a theme park with Nintendo IPs would be just as possible.
Hell, Universal Studios Orlando just added on a big Harry Potter area, and disney is making Avatar world in Animal Kingdom. Established IPs are the way to go.
>There are people on /v/ right now who have never heard of Sega World in Sydney Australia
I was devastated when it died
>Kid Icarus restaurant where an actors/chefs dressed like Palutena, Pit, and Centurians makes your food right before you
Wait, I've got it, we can save Capcom.
Think jurassic park, theme park, but
monster hunter themed.
YOU GUYS REALIZE IF NINTENDO DIES MAKE A THEME PARK, IT WOULD BE JAPAN ONLY RIGHT? LIKE ALL THE OTHER VIDEOGAME-THEMED ATTRACTIONS?
>Pokemon theme park
>Capcom making a Ace Attorney Investigation Crime Scene investigation attraction for some theme park
Not sure. But I think for now we should not plan an official date to do this, and instead just make the campaign grow as much as we can.
From the other thread:
>Actually, instead of planning a date right away, we should just keep having these threads daily, and get tons of attention. Then in the near future, plan a date? Sound good to you guys? Until then, we can get this as big as possible.
