The other thread is kill, let's keep going.
Tell me about each game:
Gonna repost my post from last thread, as I felt like sharing.
First came across Earthbound in 97, I was 7 at the time, at a local blockbuster. I must have rented it for almost a month, saving money to help pay for it. I even bought a strategy guide from walmart because I loved it so much. The guide itself is a work of pure love. I just enjoy every page, from the clay art to the vacation ads for all the destinations.
Eventually my parents bought me the game as a Birthday present, one of the happiest days of my childhood. A few years later I discovered Mother 1, and the glory of Starmen. net. Even at that age, with the internet being the clunky mess it was, I found a working NES emulator and got it working on my parents old computer and played the game to the finish.
The mother series has always, and will continue to be my favorite video game franchise, and it does my heart good to see a strong following on 4chan. Been here since 07', and its fitting on Mother's 25th anniversary I get a real reminder of why I enjoy it here.
My favorite song from the series has to be the opening credits to Earthbound
Favorite moment might be either getting to threed, or Jeffs escape from the boarding school. The winter theme is a close contender to my favorite
I don't want to derail it into Smash Bros., but do you think we are gonna get anything from Mother today?
No crying until the ending.
The encounter with Giygas. It's just so much bigger than anything you've fought in Earthbound or even in Mother - not just in terms of the size of the enemy, but the implications. You really feel like you're going up against an alien in Earthbound - he doesn't even speak (I always read the things in the second form to be hallucinations or in the party's voice).
Giygas. Not Morphine's Giygas, but Giygas in general. Such a cool character.
Ness has been in every Smash Bros. They're not taking him out.
I'm a little more worried about Lucas. Smash hasn't taken kindly to even 'partial' clone characters in the past, when considering who to axe. If he must be absent, though, I think it'd be fair to put in another Mother 3 character. Both Duster and Kumatora could be interesting characters, among many others. Hell if they went and threw Flint in there I'd be thrilled.
So I've only played Mother 3. But for some reason, I had a bad first impression of Earthbound, and I never finished it.
I plan on going back and starting with Mother, then Earthbound, but I'm curious; is there any music shared between games in the series?
The first five notes of the theme of love still make my eyes water, and I don't want to cry like a bitch at random moments.
Also, posting best girl
It's unsurprising the other 2 games haven't gotten localized. Getting Earthbound in the virtual store was a feat in of itself. Japanese law is far more lax when it comes to references and 'homage'. And the kind of references Mother is full of tends to be a bit of a logistical minefield
I know ROMs are an option, but I still really wish 1 and 3 were localized. I need a hug.
Yeah, Emulation is a fucking bitch. The sound just doesn't line up. Apparently people have gotten it working but I've yet to figure out a way.
However, PSP emulation with GPSPkai works pretty damn well, you very rarely get hiccups during battle, and the audio stays perfectly lined up. Combo attacks were a breeze. If anyone's looking to play the game and has a PSP, I'd STRONGLY recommend installing custom firmware and getting that shit up.
Speaking of sounds, have a song. Or maybe it's accurate to call it three songs. Or sixteen.
FUCK! I didn't even notice the guy above me.
I have almost 700 pictures of best girl, and only, like, 3 of them are lewd.
I played it emulated on a wii, it still had delay and stuff, but seeing it on a big screen was pretty nice
A lot of Earthbound's music comes from Mother 1. Snowman, Desert, even the song considered to be Paula's theme came from Mother 1. All of them good tracks. They use the same battle songs too. And in my opinion, 8 melodies is the best Mother theme even though I'm biased and love them all.
Bester girl. Bestest is still Ana.
I think I just said "fuck it" and used a pro action replay code to let me get 16 hits every time. Otherwise I played the game clean. The damage after the first few hits is negligible anyways.
You sir have the toppest of tastes
Oh yeah, best way by far on original hardware, no doubt (or maybe GBA compatible DS?). GBA Micro for maximum ballin'.
Just, most people will have to buy the flashcart.
Listen to this swag as fuck man do some piano
i love the beat to this song, its one of the few OST's 'Ive downloaded.
Ever listen to the uncompressed version? It's pretty incredible.
Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnm4vQpS5ngIii1uRYuVWuW1Z5EmtIC_b
Answering OP's questions is really difficult since I have such a spot in my heart for every bit. Yes, Porky too.
Mother 1 is my favorite.
>Going to Queen Mary's castle in Magicant for the first time.
>Where do I start with the music?
>Loid, Giegue, I can't even pick one.
Best RPG on the Famicom, hands down.
What's the harm if there's another one? 9 times out of 10, a Mother thread won't get 100 posts. If we can have a few of them consecutively one time every 25 years, is that a crime?
Yup. I fucking love this song. It's more fitting in Mother 1, but the SNES's soundcard just owns this song.
Does Mother play about the same as Earthbound? I mean perspective and menu wise. If I remember correctly it was something to do with the slight isometric view that really threw me off with Earthbound, but I'm sure I'd get used to it.
Well I don't want to take up too much of the image limit!
Once again posting crappy original content I drew a few weeks ago.
Mary was like... the pure and good Ilias that MGQ fans never got.
I'm playing Mother 1 for the first time. Why can't I keep Pippi?
Also where is the Zoo please help.
I believe both games have practically equal menu systems with a few tweaks here or there, once you play enough you'll learn to like it,
Also where did you find these Kumatora pictures? I need them for... scientific reasons..
i could always just upload the folder, I actually got it from someone on one of these threads, if he's around, thanks!
>HQ Ragtime Osohe
Holy shit this is the best thing
Isometric? You mean something like A Link to the Past? I suppose so. It's almost like a top-down perspective, but I've never been offput from it so I don't think I can relate your feelings.
Menu system are a bit different between the first two games. Earthbound has a more refined and traditional RPG menu system. Mother 1 merges equipment and items so you have to equip through the item box.
I still have to play Mother 1 so for now:
Can't decide between Porky telling Ness to call his parents during the Giygas battle, the 4th wall being broken during Paula's prays or the whole scene of Claus dying.
Misplaced Revenge / Hustle for Pride. These songs put a great mood for the battle
Kumatora. Best girl, best tomboy.
I had watched a few speedruns of Earthbound years before playing it for the first time so I kinda forgot how Giygas battle was, playing it at night with lights turned off really gave me the creeps. Claus dying, the whole scene, made me cry like I hadn't in a very long time, the sole phrase "I'm going where mom is now" was what made me break in tears. Mother 3 is now one of my Top 10 and my favorite RPG ever.
I think I'll play Mother as soon as I finish with these games I'm playing.
Dood, Pippi's the best character.
She's too awesome to save the world though. Don't question it, you just gotta let her do her thing.
In her name, let's have some Pollyanna. Because what is Pippi if not the epitome of the term 'pollyanna'?
B-but I already said I don't have much lewd!
But I did make a Kumatora character for AA2, and I've got the Noill flash, also I could just link to the swfchan page for it
Yeah, I'll make an upload here in a minute
No no, I mean the slight angle everything is at. I like top down games and all, but the slight slant to the side seemed weird to me for some reason.
Thank you for sharing this. I've never heard it like this before.
I have some Kumas too if you want 'em.
>tfw you cant fully romance Nana
I appreciate the thanks. Here it is again for others who want it.
>EarthBound I probably play yearly?
How? The beginning is such a slog to me. I love the game, but it takes a while to get going.
Still need to finish up my replay of Mother 3 as well. Quit because I didn't save after delivering Happy Boxes which is frustrating.
Can someone please post what Itoi said when Eartbound was released on the VC?
Yes, the gameplay is polished and kind of rhythm based, the wrtting is the best and the story is a rollecoaster of feels
Ninten looks like the kind of kid I'd want to hit in the face.
Thanks, I just finished uploading it to mega, only to find I needed to make an account to share it.
Who? I don't recall.
Honestly, I was always most interested in the brown-haired maid girl.
Have another Pollyanna. It was uploaded by a Japanese guy.
I've been playing it every now and then for challenge runs. Solo Ness, all 4 characters but bosses only, etc.
So, what do you fucks think of the Mother 4 fangame coming out?
Other than the terrible looking characters it looks like it's coming along greatly
>you'll never take a non-sexual bath with Kumatora
In Mother 1, when you sing the 8 melodies to the Queen. That scene got be a bit. In Mother 2, the moment Ness became a god and got superhuman stats. More RPGs should reward you for collecting all the plot mcguffins. In Mother 3, the scene looking for the jar of pickles and Kumatora says "Boy, we sure did stunble!" because it's still in my mind after all these years.
Teddy for Mother 1, my nigga Ness for Mother 2, and Flint and his family for Mother 3.
Noice! keep the cute girls pics coming anons.
Spookiest trailer I think I've ever seen.
I have high hopes for it, mainly because the staff seems competent
Also I think the characters are alright
I still really don't like the name. It's kind of hard to explain why, it just feels weird to me.
I wish them the best of luck and all, but the name is still really offputting
I think it's because instead of going for a deconstruction of American culture, they're going for a deconstruction of Japanese culture... but it's still set in the middle-ground setting of an Eagleland type place.
It better be fucking scratch-n-sniff
If you're thinking 'nobody knows what a Mr. Saturn smells like', I think a fair enough guess is
peanuts and cheese.
Well, that at least looks a lot better than the mere Mother3 sprite edits they were doing before. Still, I want to see some original face types, references to the other games are perfectly fine but it can't be nothing but that.
And, more music.
Magicant as a whole
Magicant again, especially the level up
Ahh, a good friend of mine did this piece. Here's her blog if anyone is interested. http://audomation.tumblr.com/
Also if we're talking about favorite songs here, can we bring up the vocal album? Tie between Wisdom of the World and Eight Melodies on there.
While searching for Kuma pics and wading through Porky porn, I found this.
That "each character gets his own level up jingle that can join up and play a baller ass song" is fucking great
But i still think calling it Mother 4 is not a very good idea, since it will be compared to the originals
They haven't given me a reason to worry. Matter of fact after they kicked Chase out they have given me hope this game will be good.
I mean c'mon this is pretty neto. Anyway, my only wish is that they take the best gameplay elements from the previous games and build on it.
lmao I'm literally talking to the artist on skype right now. Are you me?
No, but that's the impression I get.
>Japanese gangster with shitty hair
>Salary man-type zombie enemy
>Anime schoolgirl with purple hair
>Japanese style subway tram
>Deliberately using the Japanese name
I don't think it'll be so Japanese it's hard to relate to, but I think we'll probably see some subtly Japanese themes to it like maybe xenophobia (if they're idiot highschoolers) or value of human life (if they're idiot college grads) or the concept of a culture dying off (if they're slightly interesting people).
Best part about this is
The devs aren't charging any money, it's completely free. So if it is bad there's really no reason to complain except for waiting almost 5 years.
>Nearly 5 years
Either the dev team is slow as fuck or the game's going to be full of content.
Hopefully the latter.
The best lewd is the unexpected kind.
Makes enough sense. Starmen were a creation/ally of Giygas, and once he ceased to be, Porky had to find his own minions to swear servitude to him. Enter the Pigmen. Pity to whatever world he did steal his legions from.
Also, why does so much fan art depict him so thin?
>when that fucking sax kicks in with the chick's cello and Travis' tune
It's the boss fly from the Mario Paint mini game
>Japanese gangster with shitty hair
I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a greaser. Like "The Outsiders"
>Salary man-type zombie enemy
I see what you're saying, but there are businessmen in america too.
>Anime schoolgirl with purple hair
Kumatora had pink hair, though Mother 3 was a bit of a departure from the American theme
>Japanese style subway tram
I don't know much about subways.
>Deliberately using the Japanese name
I think that's just for simplicity's sake. What do they call it - Earthbound 3?
Oh, speaking of the Mother series and Yume Nikki, here's an upcoming Mother-inspired game worth paying attention to:
Aww, man I dunno. Audrey's so boss. Really influenced my taste in music a lot.
>tfw a 4 man level-up concert is almost guaranteed after each boss fight.
Would stuff like UnderTale also counts as a "Mother-inspired" game? There are some similarities in tone, but they don't seem to aim for the same kind of story, so I don't really know.
>realize how old this series is
>memories of M3 returning
Guys, please keep posting
I have eleven hours of riding trains and waiting stations before me in the middle of the night, and reading all this gives me the strangest kind of feeling
>suddenly feel a little homesick
I-I don't want to cry now, anon...
>decides to rewatch Mother 3's final battle for the anniversary
>feel incredibly depressed
Mother 2: that part after you collect the 8 melodies, the full song plays and ness gets powered up
Mother 3: Lucas shows up with a fucking Drago and wrecks havoc
It's also kind of symbolic
That's how I always saw it
Let the tears flow man, how else would you express your feelings
Call your mom
Thats how you cure homesickness
Seems kind of like it's trying too hard to be really surreal.
That's something I've always liked about Yume Nikki and Mother, they don't really seem like they're going to get as crazy as they do when you first start them.
But I don't know, it still looks pretty interesting
When I was a kid, Ive always heard of Earthbound from Smash, game websites and from my older bros friends but never played it. When I finally got a PC of my own I emulated Earthbound and Mother 3 and they became some of my favorite games of all time. Earthbound feels like a struggle to save Earth and knowing a menacing threat is out to destory earth, it feels like to much to handle. But with the music and writing, its a new world to explore.
Mother 3 is very close to me. Ive replayed it for the 2nd time recently and it surprised me with the writing and secret details that were removed or hard to find(Emulated Mother 3 at a young age where I rushed through EVERY game). When I found out Porkey was the villain, it felt like Earthbound all over again. You were fighting a madman but it was in a super light and funny world that will be with me forever.
I REALLY hope there is a Smash announcement tomorrow for Mother anniversary
On a technical I'm not worried at all, what concerns me is if they can at least emulate in a satisfactory way Itoi's writing
Oh god, the ending of M3 still gets me.
I don't cry often, especially not at video games, and I remember keeping a straight face through the entire final fight. But I completely lost it when
Flint throws himself in front of you to block an attack, and then he just lies there probably because he reminds me a lot of my own dad.and after that point It was all just sadness
I feel like the ending video is worth watching alone. Even if I didn't like the Mother series and would never play it.
Ah, but you're not a kid anymore! You can COOK your favorite food! That homesickness will go away in an instant.
Well, I assume Omori's start would be pretty dull, and then lead to something else as he discovers the 'color' world.
Also, if you don't think Yume Nikki is tryhard surreal central, I don't know what game you played. Sometimes with surreal, it's okay to be tryhard in the right places.
Anyway, more Mother music. Hopefully this one will help cool down some of you in hotter regions of the summer.
chill as fuck, can't find any decent remixes though.
Fangamer's pretty cool, but a bit pricy to me. They send out a lot of extra stuff with each order though, which I think makes up for the price tbh.
I received one of those Phase Distorters too. It was pretty hard to make since it's so small.
Anyway, bumpan' with music:
Wisdom of the World is a nice track and the vocals are neat.
Yeah, Boney's the fragile speedster that you load up with all the items. Give him the shieldsnatcher so you don't waste any turns with shield enemies.
>tfw Lucas is the slowest so he can never heal anyone in time to save them from death.
Here's some of Mother 4's OST that they released.
"Claus, please remember... I've been looking for you for so long..."
"The Masked Man tried PK Love ?!"
The guy who localized Mother 3(Tomato?) said they were gonna put a Starman fight in Mother 3 but it would be against canon. There was also cut dialouge that referenced Giygas, but was cut
Oh yeah the soundtrack is one of the best things these guys are doing:
>Lucas isn't sure to what to do anymore.
>Lucas wanted to cry.
>"You must be so exhausted..."
Assuming that they're a team of nerds who've played EB to death, I feel I don't need to worry about the writing. The fact that they're willing to call it Mother 4 to me means that they have to output something that is on caliber with the original games.
I guess I just have blind faith in them from fan projects. The Sonic fanbase produced Sonic After the Sequel, a game on caliber with the original genesis games. Tomato did a great translation of Mother 3. The Ace Attorney fanbase did a fantastic translation of AAI2. As long as fans are serious, I have no room for worry.
>Though on the note of music, the best track in the entire series is literally the very first one you hear, Mother 1's opening.
This, maximum feels ensued in that fucking hallway.
I was under the impression that Mother 1+2 is the 3i of Mother, while Mother 1's vocal tracks are essentially the 3+ of Mother, except a bit better.
At least that's my opinion.
>tfw we won't be able to have mother threads like this on /v/ again until Mother 3's 10th anniversary
I understand that if we had them constantly, they'd get old, but still. This is a really fun thread.
>The Ace Attorney fanbase did a fantastic translation of AAI2
What? I s already out? Anyway, I just hope that your blind hope won't turn you down, I'm not optimistic in that regard, but I won't be a bitch if they don't deliver in that front. And no matter how much I hate the name, I will play it anyways, so as anyone in here.
I hate to ask this, but could you guys seed this? Please?
I have an ex-friend who fapped to Porky. Emphasis on the ex. She really ruined him as a character for me.
3i is the collection of songs basically from the game just with higher audio quality, where 3+ contains vocal tracks and some DCMC songs.
Mother 1+2 is similar to 3i in that respect.
Elevator lady, elevator lady, elevator lady, elevator lady, lady levitate me. If all in all is true, won't you please fawn over me?
I decided to watch a video of the final battle again, so I could try to find the other 'Lucas couldn't attack' style messages. I forgot just how bad Flint's scene was, Jesus Christ.
starting at 7:42
>I just hope that your blind hope won't turn you down
Hey man it's free. They were all free. If it's good, it's good. If it's shit, then it's shit. The only bad thing I can think of is that if it's shit /v/ will never shutup about it.
Also yeah that AAI2 translation is done and out. Make sure to use desmume 0.9.9.8 or something. As long as it's not the latest one. And never go into an AA thread. They're at the point that they feel the need to not spoiler the game anymore.
Seriously, that ending was like a taking a stab in the guts.
I see your Paheal and raise you COHORTS CANT LOVE COHORTS
>The only bad thing I can think of is that if it's shit /v/ will never shutup about it.
Ya, and if it turns out good, then I can be surprised like an innocent child once again.
/v/ won't shut up about the game, no matter how it turns out
There's been family issues. I don't think I can continue to post.
Have one last song though, also from Edo
Edo's basically the 'nyanners' of the Earthbound series, she's done a ton of tracks with her voice, from the Mother series and other games. She also does a ton of lets plays, her singing voice might be her best asset though. Look her up on Youtube for more good Mother covers.
I was totally staring at her hips the whole time.
Have you tried watching it with the original backgrounds that were supposed to appear?
I think it hits deeper. I wonder why they ditched it?
>wifi too weak for YTing Mother stuff
>none on phone, mp3 player and newish laptop
>just want to feel comfy with this thread
>mfw I don't even have any fitting images to post
I-I want this train to go faster...
In all honesty, I think the freaky background takes away from the scene.
Like, instead of focusing on Masked Man's rampage and the fight itself, you focus on the background, which well, isn't really the same. It just... I don't know, tries a little too hard.
>download mother 3i from itunes that short time it was actually on it
>delete it from my ipod eventually
>switch computers a couple times, copying my "music" folder for computer to computer
>sync my iphone to my new computer the other week
>in the car, shuffle library
>Tatsumari comes on
>the album was synced back to my phone after all these years
Tony from Jeff's school
That's Tony, dood.
The guy who helps boost Jeff when he's escaping his boarding school.
There was actually a lot of fans of JeffXTony a while back, a few fanfics written even.
that shit was perfect for that part where the tall guy explained what the island was for. that was about where the game really turned it up for me, went from there to the end in one sitting i think, took me till like 3 am that day but it was worth it
Okay, upon realization, I chuckled too.
Tony does deserve his own ballad though.
Probably to avoid the people who think Giygas is corrupting Claus and Porky cause one of the backgrounds looks like the Giygas fight. Or it would take you out of the fight like what >>255222953 said.
http://earthboundcentral.com/2014/07/mother-remake-hack-coming-along-nicely/ Ive never played Mother 1 so this is really nice to see. Ive always heard Mother 1 had really high encounter rates and unbalanced areas, so ill play the fuck out of this when it comes out
>A while back.
This shit makes me feel old. Tumblr is being overrun with Jeff/Poo now. Jeff/Tony 4 lyfe tho.
If Mother series was remade 3D what visual style do you want? Wind Waker like the fake screenshots? Animal crossing? Super Smash Brothers with its realistic scenery? Pokemon (X/Y)? Claymation?
Posting the version without the goofy hand.
>caring about canon
Is it safe to say that giygas/giegue had a hard life?
I'd rather PooX one of his devoted female servants or civilians in Dalaam.
That'd suit him far better.
Or maybe the Magic Tart girl.
>'I know these kids are waiting for me until they wake up. But until then..'
First time I've listened to this
8/10 This feels pretty Earthbound. Reminds me of monkeys.
>Super Fresh Sheets
7/10 Not sure how I feel about the new part but the rest is really good to listen to, since it's got the feeling of a bad radio playing somewhere in the hotel.
>Battle against a dancing foe
9/10 Sounds like some Aphex Twin shit, I love the guitar.
>The Green Run
9/10, it's really faithful but at the same time feels a little try hard.
8/10 since it's just a redoing of the Brawl version, but it at least sounds really crisp.
>Battle against a familiar foe
4/10 because rhythm combos are back and I can't imagine trying to combo this shit.
8/10 Super fucking comfy, but a little weird instruments
>Older Sheets by Now
Fucking 10/10. Dat organ, dat addition, dat tempo. God damn it LOVE THIS SONG
>Mom and cooking and stuff
10/10, I want to hug my parents after listening to this. I honestly got misty.
THIS IS NOT HAPPY
I AM NOT HAPPY
AVERAGE IS 8.3/10 SOUNDTRACK SO FAR
What do you think?
>raised by an alien species
>father abandons you
>commissioned to destroy the species you were raised by
>blown the fuck out by a fucking lullaby
>lose your body
>lose your brain
>your successor is a fat little sociopath
Yeah. It's safe.
This thread needs more Duster. How did he move so fast with that limp of his?
You can re-visit every place on the map once it's just you and Paula after the final boss thanks to teleport, and everyone has new dialogue. That really left me with a fuzzy feeling when it everything ended.
I hope he makes it into Smash 4 or 5, even just as an Assist, just so I can see how Sakurai would handle his limping.
Super secret thief training man, does wonders
I should really watch all of LANC and FAB one day...
All these pure, strong, full notes. Too much nostalgia to handle.
Anyone have a link to the full OST? I'd really like to have it.
Also this: http://tobyfox.bandcamp.com/track/once-upon-a-time
It's pretty similar in style and evokes the same feelings as the former.
I absolutely love how Earthbound manages to slowly build up the stakes as the adventure goes along, and I'm not even talking about the final boss. You start of pretty innocently: You're a baseball swinging popular kid fighting street jerks in your home town, just a short walk away from the loving arms of mama. Then you make the trip to Happy Happy Valley, and things get a bit tougher, but you're still in a familiar setting, dealing mostly with humans, and soon enough, you got a cute girl by your side.
Then you get to Threed, and things start getting bad. Zombies, not human hologins or cultists, but honest to god re-animated corpses and ghosts are stalking you, and all the adults are broken and hopeless. Eventually, you end up trapped, and Jeff comes to save you. Jeff, who trudges across lonely snowfields with nae but a monkey for company (and he eventually runs off to chase tail), but who eventually re-unites with his father, and makes the trip in an awesome UFO. The three friends unite, and work together to brave the zombie filled streets and filthy factory of Master Belch.
After that, you're a group of three youngsters in a big city, where none of the adults know you, and some of them are downright hostile. Your very first friend is abducted, and you have to brave a psycho dimension with no rules to try and get her back.
Things get more intense from there and you fly to the distant beaches of Summers, the murky swamps, and finally, the dinosaur infested Lost World. It was when I was looking at the much smaller pixels of protagonists, moving against the terrain and watching the much bigger dinosaurs moving around, that it hit me like a ton of bricks.
You're deep below the earth, in a place full of hungry, vicious animals, thousands of miles away from your family. Despite being around 18 when I played it for the first time in all it's glory, that moment of realization still made me want to sit down and cry.
>Anyone have a link to the full OST?
Yes, this. I remember watching someone do a stream and we had Ness take Paula on a little date. So cute.
kuma is not gay
Well this was a great two threads, happy 25th Anniversary MOTHER
The game takes itself less seriously. I'm all for mother 3 story, but the rest is too serious for me. I also like the characters more. Duster was like the only character I really liked from 3
OK desu ka
I love them all but
Mother > Mother 3 > Earthbound
EB's great once you hit Fourside but until then I always have trouble getting into it because it feels really shaky in pacing to me, and all the most annoying parts of the game are earlier on. Mother 1's just got my favorite atmosphere and all.
pauuuula, paula paula.
ana, ana, ana, annna.
Something I noticed about all 3 games
The story gets really serious at the beginning, then mellows out for most of the game, then gets really serious at the end.
Mother 3 kind of averted this by being semi-serious throughout, but Mother and Earthbound seem to follow this model. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
For some reason, Mother 1 always gave me an uncanny valley sort of feeling that I really enjoyed. Where everything is reminiscent of real life, yet somehow very different. I think it is mostly due to the archaic hardware, but it still gives me a unique experience.
Fucking Japan, you have a plethora of lolis and potential fap material like Elevator Lady and Pippi to mess with, yet they always stick to shota shit and Fem Giygas, the latter always being drawn with weird ears instead of horns
what else are we supposed to do with them
This is wrong. And bad. There should be a new, stronger word for this. Like badwrong, or badong. Yes, this is badong.
sad but true
Noill never finised the only good one
>mfw this was my first exposire to lesbian that I really liked it
I'm sorry Mom and Dad, your religious teachings failed me now
Blog post incoming.
This is the first image I ever saw of Ness and while I didnt really play f-zero or metroid as a kid, I had heard of those by time I played smash 64. Earthbound was like this mysterious game that simply was there. It was impossible to find a copy (this was before I understood shit like ebay). I learned a little more with melee and as the internet grew.
I eventually got a copy of the game because my brother had cancer and he had a gift angel. I tried playing it on my snes but if you touched the game in anyway the memory would wipe so I had to approach the snes console with like fear and reverernce hoping my save was safe for continuing my journey. I also realized mother 3 would never come here, and I was so hype for that friday release. It was senior year of high school when it came out and I rushed home and beat it over the weekend. I had to screw around with VBA and struggle to get the patch to work
I also finally beat earthbound with all my friends names entered in so leaving them at the end of the game was 100x more emotional that an average player would experience.
Long story short: Mother series has always seemed mysterious and out of reach, like this special magical game that you had to work to find and you had to be patient to really play through it. I'm kinda glad its not whored out with a new title per game system like kirby/zelda etc. It has the special magical air around it that makes it remarkable and something I treasure
>Sound not synced to the music
Yeah okay sure
God, I still remember the first time I read the "Lucas remembered Claus' smell"
scene, my mother opened the door and saw me crying, she came close to me and we hugged during the game ending ;___;
We talked about it a couple of days ago
I missed her a lot, I wont be seeing her that much from tomorrow
>Anal not the best kind of sex
Are you for real, man?
Who wants to put their dick in an axe wound?
But really, anal is just sort of Noill's thing, probably because it's hot as hell.
"Lucas remembered Claus' smell" resonated with me so much because of how personal it is. It is one of the little things you don't always think about, but it is something that you use to recognize people who are close to you.
>There are people on this planet that don't secretly want to fuck shotas
That's apparently not the reason, but it's also not untrue.
The first post on his secret tumblr was shota
I personally thought it was weird, but kinda makes sense.
Maybe it's because my nose never worked properly, sometimes I can't smell anything, other times it's like I can smell my throat. For all I know, flowers don't have any smell whatsoever
