It was so nice my first time around to be in this world, where nothing seemed like it was out to kill my psyche, a sudden break from all the creepy. It was nice. Then there was that girl in the igloo, I tried so many effects to try to get her attention, until finally I stabbed her. I don't know why, I just though something might happen. But nothing happened, she just screamed and died. It was, unsettling, to say the least. All I could think about was getting the person in the snow to wake up, I resorted to stabbing them. It's kinda fucked up.
So what did you do for the 10th anniversary?
I posted one of those waifu computer screen picture things in a Yume Nikki thread.
Oh man it's been awhile since I've seen a good YN thread.
Can we up it to rpgmaker game general?
Christ OP, why do you make a top thread right when I'm about to head to bed.
Learn a DAW. Fruityloops and Reason are pretty good for beginners. You don't need a midi keyboard or anything, but it helps. You should have enough ambient noises to play with out of the box.
If you want to do the chiptune side of it, learn to use famitracker. It's a bit more tedious to use than a daw but it gets the job done for 8bit.
Hey now there are good nikki ripoffs.
>UUH UUUUH WELL THERES THIS ONE CINEMATIC THAT LOOKS VAGUELY LIKE A VAGINA
>AND THE PART BEFORE THAT HAS A GUY RUBBING A POLE
From an artfag perspective: familiarize yourself with minimalism, surrealism and existentialism. Afterwards experiment with a multitude of different directions to see what 'feels right'.
I still can't get into Yume 2kki no matter what I do. Is it just me?
Probably the pier, or the witch lake. Although I like Mars a lot too.
Lets all enjoy it while it lasts. I miss the nightly Yume Nikki threads back in the day.
It is pretty damn huge. Why can't you get into it, though?
It reminds me of my own dreams. Among other things.
It already came and went, anon. and it's not likely to happen again.
I don't know, it just doesn't feel as well put-together as .flow and Yume Nikki. It's like a big convoluted mess of ideas and it doesn't give off the same charm as the other two
So much negative energy in the thread tonight. Take a deep breath and think of pleasant memories, Anons.
Same here. If we're talking RPGgames in general it'd be Middens.
Pretty much this. I don't want YN threads on /v/ become /vg/-tier, so please lets not make a lot of these too often. Maybe once a month, tops.
The Neon world. It's so busy and bright it somehow makes me feel peaceful
which is strange cause I usually hate places like that in real life.
I think part of the reason may be because the neon effect was the first one I found, so getting that and "becoming one of the neons" stuck as a memory.
I also quite like the witch island for some reason.
Yeah, I agree. Although, I have to admit is has some amazingly cool events, like the one in the bath house. That spooked the SHIT out of me.
Tumblr really did fuck up RPGmaker games as a whole. It's very difficult to find someone tolerable to talk to about them. I haven't even played a good one since Witch's House. Now they're all about cute shit with rape, or 2edgy "horror" stories.
I don't want to say the scene is dead, but damn.
Oh shit, I forgot I had somnium in my backlog. Is it really that good?
I've always been fond of the teleport maze if only because I loved the music that played in it
It hurts, I fucking adore Yume Nikki, /v/ threads are the last safe haven I have
i was in akihabara yesterday with my
girlfriendand i saw one of those 200 yen toy machine things (gatcha gatcha) with yume nikki. She said there was some newer 3D game or something. whats she talking about?
I love middens, haven't finished it though. Mainly because I'm really not a fan of turn-based combat like that.
The game looks amazing, though.
can someone clue me in on the whole back story of Yume Nikki? Like that apocalyptic shit with the aliens or whatever? I love Yume Nikki fan games but Yume Nikki itself never really clicked with me and I intend to change that.
>She wants to have the privileges and social status as a female (e.g. a women's toilet) so she flees from her masculinity (the bicycle) and begins to descend (the elevator).
>the privileges and social status as a female
there is absolutely no official backstory
people just look at all the crazy shit in the game and try to piece together theories themselves
It's part of the reason I love it so much, besides the retarded shit tumblr users come up with
Thanks, I haven't heard of the latter two. I'll check them out.
There is a 3D fan game of Yume Nikki. it's pretty cool, but very short. Just look it up on google and you'll find it in no-time.
There is no back story. It is left up to the player to decide if they want a story or not.
Finish it, the last part is easily my favourite part of any game, even beating out Pathologic and the like.
Also, for what it's worth, this is the game that made me like turn based combat. Ostensibly at least.
Genie is my waifu, is the point I'm trying to make.
The threads at night are the only good ones, i've never seen a good YN thread during the day.
There is no backstory, really. It's just a shut in girl exploring her dreams. You can take her dreams as being symbolic, if you wish, and then patch together your own story to her life and her ending. There are plenty of interesting theorys, but the games mostly about just exploring her dreams and finding intrusting shit.
Neither come close to the former two. Also you ought to know it's made by a Nip and it's immediately obvious.
Also take my recommendation of LiEat very lightly. It's more of an interactive anime episode set in an interesting world, than enjoyable vidya.
Topic realted to this:
Does anyone think that the developer had any sort of story in mind while making the game? No matter how vague? Or do you think he literally just slapped a bunch of cool looking shit together and hoped for the best?
Either way, good job.
This is why I fucking hate westerners, literally the only ones to turn anything "strange" into a 2deep or social justice, why the fuck can't you guys into simply "this is strange and unsettling, it can't be explained?"
There is no meaning behind things, they are there to be strange, and perturbing, nothing else.
Pretty much. Hopefully it stays that way for a long while.
That's because newfags, normies, & shitposters are most active during the day.
Here's a fresh new theory.
Madotsuki is really cute and I want to hug her, only if she wants to though.
Oh christ there are, exactly.
I hate it when people project on stuff like this. I can understand the "she was molested/raped" angle, but the "M->F Transexual" theory was pure idiocy.
It's always the fans who make these games smell rank. Remember what happened to OFF? Even Mortis Ghost got sick of the Homestuck and Tumblr crowd making up the stupidest theories.
At least they haven't touched Space Funeral.
It's bizarre in that it wavers between being hammy and silly to being morbid and somber.
When it's being somber, it's pretty damn good.
When it's being silly, it's not nearly as good.
Give it a whirl, you might like it.
Holy shit, there are? I thought there was only one.
Try them all?
Will do. I need my fix of spooky.
There was a daytime Yume Nikki thread a few weeks ago, full of shitposting
Now I see why these should only be made during night
>why the fuck can't you guys into simply "this is strange and unsettling, it can't be explained?"
Because you're allowed to find deeper meanings? That's kinda the entire point of art.
>inb4 thread derails into discussion of whether vidya is art or not
anyone here ever play on Nipper's CS:S maps? If you haven't look them up, they're like really detailed, smaller 3d yume nikki dream worlds to explore. I spent hours exploring them when I first discovered them and still occasionally dick around in them to relax.
Yeah alright I'll try to finish it. I love the collage-styled art, so fucking bizarre.
Looking at how the game is composed I'd argue that the game schizophrenicly goes from concept to exploration. Some parts are very clearly just translations of a the creators dreams. Others seem to indicate an overall concept that ties everything together.
Luckely, the creator decided to leave everything up to interpretation. Goes very well with the gameplay.
Also the creator identifies as a 'she'.
Night is the best time to play Yume Nikki, so I guess the people who actually like the game would be on during the night.
It's literally tumblr. They completely invaded a couple years ago and it's a marginally faster shithole of rape theories and "hey guyz check out my edgy rape game".
The only good thread on there anymore is the indie game sharethread in /og/.
This has always been the case. Lately, for any indie game. Just make them at night and you're gold.
This one. It recreates the feel of the game really well.
You should read what the guy has written on the game. Very interesting stuff if you're into philosophy of art and fine art in general.
Or at least, I like to think so.
I don't really have time to pluck the post right now, but everything you could possibly want is on that tumblr.
(The guy also has great taste in film and literature.)
Same, that video's great. Although I still like my YN without theories and shit, personally.
>also the creator identifies as a 'she'
Gonna need source on this.
Favorite fan-made song? I've been listening to this non-stop all day.
Oh wow anon I haven't seen this in years. It's actually a really interesting theory.
I might re-download CS:S just to try that shit out. Thanks anon.
I've listened to this thousands of times. Too bad this guy normally only does vocaloid shit.
First I thought of just calling you a "weeb faggot" or something, but this post made me curious too.
Do non-western players not make up theories or anything? For a game I've always assumed was supposed to be intentionally vague so as to leave many possibilities open for interpretation I would only assume that non-western players too would form their own communities and discuss it among their own circles.
Do they not have communities that also make up crackpot theories, or do they simply just not share them?
In the few email conversations open to public the creator uses a female pronoun. This might just be affectionate or stylistic. I'm not familiar with any Japanese dialect, but from what I understand it's easier to intermix that with Greco-Judaic languages.
Eitherway, I can't find my source. Which either means it has been removed in the mean time or I remember it wrong. So take that with a grain of salt.
Rhetorics aside, why would it matter if Kikiyama was transgender?
>That map with the huge face that yelled "EAT SHIT MOTHERFUCKER" whenever you touched it
>That map with the art gallery that teleported you/played different sound claps whenever you interacted with a painting
Shit was great.
I wish Nipper would make another surreal mappack again.
I don't think anyone does, honestly. Shit's weird as hell.
That whole album's golden. This is my favorite one here.
I'm honestly just curious. No one really know who
or whatkikiyama is, from what I understand.
>implying these aren't the best
>madotsuki1997 will never make another YN remix
>No one really know who or what kikiyama is, from what I understand.
Yeah exactly, which, if it's true that they use a female pronoun, I'll be inclined to follow that as direction.
What ever happened to that whole public interview they were supposed to give 3 years ago or so?
Toilet in Wonderland, although it wasn't really a fan game, just inspired by Yume Nikki
Not who you're responding too, but I think sites and communities like Tumblr are the main difference in the kind of discussion about games compared to the East.
Seeing how conservative japan and china are, I don't think such a thing like the whole DIE CIS SCUM mentality or the SJW-pandering stuff really exists or at least not as strongly over there.
No please don't bring up OFF it's too painful.
Such a great album. Have you guys heard the "official" music project yet?
My nigga, probably my favorite song ever.
The YN megamix is hype as hell love that shit.
I haven't. Got any linx?
I love that this is the first reaction by long term posters.
It was mine too.
I got both into .flow and 2kki.
I FUCKING LOVE 2KKI The new areas are fan-fucking-tastic
Try this album out, you might find something like it. In fact, try out many different DREAM releases, they're all free and some of them are fucking awesome.
Oops, this was meant at
>Have friends who like Ib
>They look at me in confusion when I say Yume Nikki inspired the creation of it
I get the feeling i'm wrong about this.
passionately make love toa toriningen. Is this normal?
Some one posted it in that other YN thread we had the other day, but I was a dumbass and forgot to save it. Hopefully someone did.
Well Ib isn't really like YN at all. MAYBE it was inspired by it, but I doubt it.
The last YN thread greatly expanded my paltry folder, so I've quite a bit of art to share.
This game is one of a handful that I'll never really forget playing the first time.
It was winter of 2009. I was in my first year of graduate school in a brand new town. I was adapting very well to a strange place with zero friends and tons of responsibility as a grad student.
We get a shit ton of snow at some point in late January. I knew the storm was coming and I loaded up on tons of food. The storm hit on a Thrusday into Friday night iirc. I had just downloaded the game a few days before but not tried it yet.
We get like 2 and half feet of snow. Half of town is without at electricity that friday morning. Campus is shutdown, and I can't get out of my apartment. My car is under a massive amount of snow. My half of town has power but the internet is down.
So I binge on this game starting Friday night. I was already at a peak of depression. It was one of the most miserable times in my life ever. And I'm snowed in with this game on a dwindling food supply. Basically chugging pop and eating frozen food with mac and cheese.
I proceed to stay up for almost two days. My foul moods were making me lose sleep badly that year. Saturday night at like 3 in the morning, I do Mars. The whole rocket ship crash and the adventures on Mars still creep me the fuck out. The isolation of this part of the game struck a nerve with my real life feelings. Stuck in the snow, depressed, and completely isolated. My whole first experience with game was such a bizarre thing.
I love the game, but I can hardly play it now because it just puts my mind back to that frozen weekend in the snow.
as long as it isn't Madotsuki sexualizing her is off limits
It actually introduced me to electronica as a genre beyond "techno". I would kill for a 320kb/s download.
We Were Just Little Girls hit me hard and I have no idea why.
It's definitely interesting. It's supposedly endorsed by kikiyama. It's mostly vocaloid shit.
It's not bad but I can't say I like it all that much. This song is catchy as hell though.
I don't mean that as in he "left the internet" like Phil Phish or something, but in continued questions about stuff like "Did Zacharie rip off Valerie's face so he could wear it as a mask?" is getting on his nerves. Plus, he doesn't seem to like it when people keep asking about the guy who did Zacharie's audio. Actually, he seems to be creeped out in general by the fangirl obsession with Zacharie in general.
I'll see if I can find the Deviantart posts he made addressing that stuff.
Not that guy but I'm glad you brought this up.
Yume Nikki, from what I've heard, inspired non-rpg like elements in an RPGMAKER game. Like seriously, it took the whole jrpg elements and threw it out the window, yet still using the basics of a jrpg maker which is top-down exploration.
Although most would say that yume nikki wouldn't be involved in, lets say Ib, I'd have to disagree because Yume Nikki did inspire this kind of RPGMAKER game.
Just my two cents though.
>Actually, he seems to be creeped out in general by the fangirl obsession with Zacharie in general.
I've seen some of the fanart of that. And yeah, that was unsettling. I can see where he might find some problems.
I do recall somewhere a long time ago that it was stated that it took "inspiration" from it. I wish I remembered where I found that though.
I've never really liked vocaloid, honestly. The whole "cutesy japanese grill" voice shit just rings my ears.
SICK BLOG DUDE
But yeah, I'll never forget the first time I played this game. One of the most memorable experience of my life.
So why the hell did the LCDDEM creator suddenly want to completely pull the game off the internet, and tell people to forget it existed?
Thank you for sharing that anon.
I had just broken up with my gf of 4 years and lived alone in a house that was slowly falling apart. Poor foundation, and the landlord refused to do anything. Kitchen barely functioned, and I had no idea what I was doing next.
Playing YN was such a surreal escape from all that and the end left me feeling kind of numb for awhile. But I think it helped me through the bad bits and got back up on my feet shortly after.
No one knows. It's all a big mystery.
Which is fucking cool, makes the game even spookier.
Oh yeah, in case I misread your comment - what "happened" is that during one of Homestuck's "mega-pauses" or whatever, apparently a bored homestuck fan found out about OFF in '09 or so and then shared it with all of them on the homestuck forums, meaning that over night, the game's popularity exploded all over tumblr with the most obnoxious shit imaginable by the most obnoxious, cancerous fandom possible on the internet.
You name it - stupid, creepy shit being sent to people in the OFF credits, Mortis Ghost getting flooded with stupid theories and requests, homestuck/OFF cosplay, the works.
Just the kind of "publicity" I'm sure makes any creator sick of their work.
I'm pretty sure I would love YN, if only I could get the graphics to stop malfunctioning.
did anyone play that fan game called Misère? it was linear but had a cool setting and nice art.
I was working on my own fan game for a bit but quit. It was inspired by twin peaks and you were going to be a park ranger exploring a surreal state park instead of a person exploring their dreams. might get back to it one day.
I agree. I wish the project had been handled differently.
Please don't sexualize the vomit chan.
So what's everyone's favorite rpgmaker title?
For me, Yume Nikki and Witch's House are tied for first, then Space Funeral, then Ib.
Man, how the hell does your computer manage to fuck up a little RPGmaker game?
Nice try. But unluckily for you, I want to enjoy my YN thread.
Ah yeah, thanks for reminding me that I was trying to get back into it a while ago and kind of forgot about it again.
>Yume Nikki threads are still the best threads on /v/
It's like a time capsule of good /v/.
I thought Mado's anime series was pretty good.
My favorite is YN. Then .flow, then Ib.
there's more to ur mom than her phat cunt m8
I have never seen a bad YN thread, but maybe because I only hang at night time. Day time is full shitposting in general in all the board
When did it become acceptable to have a video game be unwinnable without a guide?
I believe it's nearing its end yet there's still more to come.
I think I'm like the only 2kki fan in here.
Don't compare my perfect Mado to that fuckup.
Someone should compile a list of good surreal exploration games/mods/whatnot.
Games like this are really interesting to me, and it would be neat to find more.
Pretty spooky, but frustrating.
That part where she comes from off-screen with a bat to kill that girl.
Holy fuck, man.
Listen to this wise man. No point in responding to shitters in such a nice little thread, is there?
This right fucking here. Absolutely creeped the everloving fuck out of me first time I was playing this early in the morning without any knowledge of what the game was
Really fun and challenging block puzzle. I would totally play it by itself.
The fact that it's also got a really deep side story and pulls some spooky meta shit just makes it all the better.
Has been done, severely outdated.
I can give you this though. Mind that it's just my opinion, so take it lightly.
No worlds, because I still need to try that.
Guess now i'll have to
pick her up gentlyand gently place her back into bedand tuck her in.
That part where she comes from off-screen with a bat to kill that girl. I fucking know, I was windows the whole time so she walked across my desktop, best 4th wall breaking scare I've had. And then there's the files changing in the folder.
The only time in all my years of video games a game has made me jump out of my chair. Just caught me totally off guard.
I just started this game thanks to all of the music posted in this thread. Should I go in blind or is it alright for me to ask you for advice?
Anyway I went into this weird fucked up maze thing with numbers on the floor and happened upon a room with a lot of beds. Some blood dripping from the wall pulled me into this fucked up place where these crazed... things looked like they were chasing me so I got out of there. Went into each door until I came upon the snow room and found this thing. Does it do anything other than turn me into a cute, blushing ice lady?
I have yet to meet someone who would consider Witch's house a plain experience. It was a kick to the balls and people felt negative about the ending based on the reactions I have read, although the game is really good.
Every time I go into the eyeball world, I feel seriously queasy after a while. A combination of the grotesque imagery, the cycling background aztec drawing thing, and that weird music is just... Fuck.
>During the times when it WASN'T unnerving as hell, of course.
Ya don't say?
Ruth White (the person who made THAT song) is actually a really good musician. You should check out her stuff if you can find it.
You should check out Lisa. There's a full commercial "sequel" being made of it, but the original is still free. One of the best, if not the best YN clones.
Dive in blind, and drown in it's pure weird fuckery. It's intoxicating, if you're into that kinda thing.
Boring. Not interesting, mediocre. I find 'BOO~ YOU'RE SCARED' gameplay extremely distasteful, which sadly Witch's House is full of.
Eitherway, it's just my opinion. If you want to get up in arms over something: I though Space Funeral was a pretentious work that SEVERELY suffers from body/mind/soul disconnection.
Block World bothers me immensely.
I also love all the music from the Famicom clone areas.
Someone should add Deep Sea Prisoner's games in there.
Also LiEat 3 fucking when? Holy shit I can't seriously wait for the 3rd title.
>you will never create something as beautiful as Yume Nikki
If you press 1 on your keyboard the effects will do something, but otherwise they're mostly all just for looks (although that one does have a use later on)
One piece of advice - get the bike effect before anything else. It's in this world and you can get to it from one of the main doors. Just walk around until you find it. It lets you move at double the speed
I thought the ending was clever, but what I liked most about the game is how well it used the resources you could use in an RPGmaker game.
Like that hallway where if you walk in any direction except down, you get killed, even trying to lure you with interesting looking objects.
Somebody must have the gif of this somewhere. I've seen it before but didn't save it.
Mah nigga. Best type of horror.
Too bad that very, VERY few AAA developers have realized this.
I had a long version of my first experience but I realized it dragged on a bit, so i'll give the short version.
>Friend shows me Yume Nikki
>Reminds me when I was young, with sleep and dream problems
>Captivated by it to the point of playing it an insane amount
>Develop a thing where I have realistic dreams every night conveniently at the same time playing it
>Can't tell dream from reality
>Dream diary time
>Friend and I don't talk anymore due to relationship issues, but the contents of the dream diary were basically the icing on the cake
>Still have dream whatever
>Learnt to deal with it but sometimes wake up crying
>Madotsuki is my waifu
That's when I knew Madotsuki was the one for me.
such a sweet card for the dear parents
Sometimes it seems my blood spurts out
in gobs, as if it were a fountain's pulsing sobs.
I can clearly hear it mutter as it goes
but cannot find the wound from which it flows.
Most of the effects don't have any practical purposes. You still need to get all of them, though. Just keep collecting them, and keep walking around aimlessly. You can look up a guide once you've exhausted every possible path you know of and are still missing a couple, but only then.
Which I thought were roundabout and insufficient to make up for the slough before hand.
I will totally concede it's one of the best parts of the game, though. Again, it's just my opinion. No need to start a discussion over it.
LcdDem, 2kki, Yume Wo, NostAlgic and OFF.
>We get like 2 and half feet of snow.
Still, good story, i love winter and it's feeling in general, i suppose that's why i love living in Canada and playing games well into the night (when i don't have class the next morning, of course). It's just so comfy, the computer keeping me warm, the screen dimly lighting my room, and a nice hot chocolate or tims next to me,
Not really, it's my favorite fangame as well.
I just took a two or three years break from it for whatever reason.
Have a list of other good freeware rpgmaker (and other) games.
Best stay off other parts of uboachan. That's tumblr country.
Lets all be friends.
Nigger it happens. I've hears some chinese old fuck saying something on the lines of him dreaming he was a butterfly, and he's questioning whether he really is himself or a butterfly dreaming he was a human or someshit.
I know someone who mistakes dreams as memories and callously makes mistakes because of it.
WHEN THE EARTH IS TURNED INTO A GRIPPING DUNGEON IN WHICH HOPE LIKE A BAT FLUTTERS BLINDLY
AND BRUISES ITS TIMID WINGS AND TENDER HEAD AGAINST THE WALLS AND ROTTED CEILINGS
Does she hates Madotsuki for invading her space?
I've never wanted an album on vinyl before, but for some reason I think that album would be the spookiest thing ever coming out of an old record player.
Too bad it goes for $100 a pop.
Go major in psychology.
Going only with the big 3, I'd have to rank it as:
2kki > Nikki > .flow
I loved flow more than any of the titles before but the new updates kinda killed it for me. I still fucking love .flow.
Most of those games aren't really spooky, but more 'artsy'. Exactly what I like, to be honest. Then again, people have told me that I have a tendency to make 'terror into art'.
Eitherway, happy to share Anon. Have fun!
I use one of the sounds it makes when you sue the flute effect as my phone's text notification sound.
Sure, same name on skype.
I've barely touched 2kki, but I feel like I should sit down and give it a shot. Any pointers for going in blind?
It just does I guess.
I tried reality checks before, but it didn't work, if anything it made it more confusing.
I have a better understanding of the difference between dream and reality now, but man was it rough.
Do your best.
Do your worst.
Okay enough Mado. Time for "other" characters.
>Any pointers for going in blind?
It's a vast, VAST world. Explore the maps without trying to consult the wiki.
>using the wiki
You would eventually, I can't emphasize how big her dream world is. Most of the time when I play, I forget that this is her dream world.
Also get the bike in the blue garden world, should be right next to the nexus map.
What kind of reality checks did you try? The ones like looking at a clock and flicking a lightswitch don't work well for me...
The one I use is the nose pinch. I pinch my nose and try to breathe through it. If I can, I'm in a dream, otherwise I'm awake.
Lucid dreaming in general is just hard as hell. Takes so much work and patience.
But it'll be worth it in the end.
Man screw that red fucker, almost gave me a heart attack when he ate me.
>mfw Fukami is a dude
I didn't expect Wadanohara to be so long. But then again, I played it right after multiple playthroughs of Dear RED and Hello? Hello..?, both of which are short and meh.
Great game, tho. Couldn't get into The Gray Garden right away as I was kind of burnt out on that formula.. I played a little Mogeko Castle before those two but didn't particularly enjoy it.
ALRIGHT NIGGAS IT'S TIME
Favorite effect? Mine is pic related.
No. But you can access the effects by using the shift button now. The new quick menu allows you to visually see which effects there are.
Spreading more 2kki love
Jesus Christ you fuckers, I want to go to bed more than an hour ago.
I have a deadline.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.
It's a weird game. But really fun. You want to make shapes of the same color collide in the air. You only have a few seconds after you "active" a shape before you lose "life". You have to be quick about connecting at least 2 matching colors. DOn't worry about the bottom too much until it starts piling up. You really want to do as many mid air combos as you can.
You can scroll the blocks faster with your scroll wheel. You just need to get as many points as you can to get different events. I forget the core caps, but I think the first one is 40,000 for a special ending.
I love her midget effect, really damn cute.
Thing is I don't even force/plan myself to lucid.
It just happens.
But I know it's all okay because she's there by my side in my dreams, even if I can't see her.
Neon World is one of my favorite comfy vidya locations. It's so bright and lively in comparison to everywhere else in the game. All of the NPCs look like they want to have a good time with the relaxing music. Also the walls give the area a more contained and orderly feeling that helps your sense of direction instead of endless void. I feel truly at peace there.
>those sounds she makes when you can't make any more clones
Finding that stupid parrot that gives you the effect was hella annoying when it was my first time playing the game and I wasn't using a guide.
The music was so nice, though. And the colors.
Enjoy the thread, Anon.
I'm off, hope somebody can fill my pretentious shoes. Also, for the late nighters: Vinesauce is doing all day/nigh stream. pretty cool, albeit Vinnie and Joel (arguably the most popular streamers) have already done their bit.
Good night blo- shit I mean /v/.
New hard to reach maps. The scenes are worth it though. Made me smile when I actually found my way to the new maps by myself.
Not everyone enjoys it, and that's fine. Veeery niche game.
I am both ashamed and aroused
You have to experience it. I can't even think how I can recommend it to somebody else without just saying "experience it" or stuff.
You mean the "bloopbloopbloop" sound? Just edit the sound file with goldwave or something and make it mute.
>you will never experience Yume Nikki, 2kki, and .flow for the first time ever again
