They made a series for France 3 spanning 2 seasons and a show based on Dofus lasting I think 52 episodes.
there is currently a movie for both Wakfu and Dofus in the works.

Probably now more than ever as it has become and areas in which we've seen a great progress in modern times as well as things along the line.

I mean just such a thing as being able to fit voice acting into our games did a great deal, it enabled us to get rid of unwieldy text boxes and we could have communication between characters (as well as monologues) on the fly instead of having to stop up with the boxes, as well as the fact that they now held much more emotion. Along with the graphical capabilities which enabled us to show much more spectacular events as well as details on characters and their reactions.

So yes, I do believe people (I doubt they did it as much at the start of what we'd call modern videogames because it was simply not as good) play for the story, and they have the best possibilities ever to find something that gives them a good quality story today if they want it, which everyone should want if they have standards.

What on earth would lead you to believe people somehow tossed away story as a quality element which a game should strive to incorporate? Was it /v/? Because /v/ is dumber than a sack of doorknobs when it comes to valuing graphics and story amongst other things.
