It's the stupidest, most juvenile fucking asspull imaginable and severely cheapens what was otherwise an amazing ending. Also it cheapens the characters themselves.

The combat is tolerable, it's the random encounters every 5 steps that gets really annoying.
You'll get to one of the later dungeons with n increased encounter rate and want to kill yourself it's so bad. But it's worth at least one playthrough.

Nah its the updated version of the PS2 game with an optional ending segment at the end that explains things better (though it's very grindy).

The PSP version has positives like actually being able to control your party and the option of playing as a girl. But all the walking around the school/town is replaced by menus and it's ridiculously easy.

The answer is really long and tedious but it was worth it for the boss fight with the MC clone near the end and the rest of SEES If you just want to know the story you're better off watching a playthrough on youtube or something.
