The world between the dungeons is much emptier than the world of the 2D games, and that issue hasn't been fixed in any 3D Zelda to date.

Aside from that the game is as close to flawless that is possible. It's amazing how they got nearly everything so right on the first try and then repeatedly fucked up afterwards.
