Story should complement an idea that is already satisfactory in essence, it should never be purposed to overshine any of the other aspects. Meaning, you apply an enjoyable story to a good gameplay experience, or for film a good emotional conveyance of audio and video.

also every other sign is pretty much useless, every other weapon besides your silver and steel swords are useless, there's hardly any progression as far as those two go (all of the silver swords are late-game and steel swords are somewhat common but you fight monsters 99% of the time anyway, oh and only 3 armor sets in the whole game), combat is nothing more than monotonous timed clicking and the occasional potion with little to no variety, it's jerky, awkward, and doesn't always work right (slice at an enemy while he's 15 feet away, he crumples over and dies, and vice versa), the status effects are poorly balanced garbage and a huge annoyance since half of them stun you for ~10 seconds (like fucking javed, who blinds you over and over and over, and is also one of the only enemies in the game that actually uses blind, so you never have a reason to stack blind resistance up until that point) or drain your health insanely fast, it's just bad
