>Dark Souls 2 DLC comes out tomorrow
>not a single thread
let's change that
Why, like fuck man, why are they doing this, season pass ok fine 3 DLCs alright, but then reskinned bosses and a trio boss of just normal fucking NPCs like goddamnit. I wasn't one of those guys who hated this game and what it did to the series I like this game but man this feels like a complete ripoff with no shame.
Oh lookie, they haven't learned anything from the complaints that everyone had and start the fight with a bitch slap that removes 1/3 of your health.
I know it's easy to avoid after the first time before you faggots start screaming at me, but it just goes to show how poorly this dev team understood the Souls games.
I played the DLC and this isn't fair.
Nashandra 2.0 is another queen representing a shard of Manus and play totally different. Has some AoE spells, shotgun spells and teleports around and melees you while summoning skeletons and a golden Vestaldt.
The dragon is very similar to Kalameet and the least original. Luckily Kalameet was a great fucking boss so I don't really have a problem with that.
The three phantoms have a fucking cool area before them, are pretty out of the way and are basically a test on how well you PvP.
Wait a minute. Didn't they say they weren't going to have DLC, saying they were paying for a complete game at release? Am I just retarded?
>I know it's easy to avoid after the first time before you faggots start screaming at me
Nice to know you can't read on top of enjoying corporations drip feeding you shit for £15 a drop.
I think you mean THE REAL Nashandra.
Elana is fucking fun as fuck
until she summons Velstadt and then I smash my TV into tiny little bits and set my head on FIRE JESUS FUUUUUUUCKING CHRIST IF I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE BLACK KNIGHTS ONE MORE
>publisher namco bandai
why do you think they changed their mind?
the original designer said that before leaving the b-team that actually worked on the game
bamco obviously has no obligation to someone not on the team anymore therefore they will jew the shit out of the "omg so hardkore darksails" faggots
Laser guns are being made. Also teleporters.
I am also immune to disease and can change my gender when I please.
Oh yeah. I'm 100% legit alright.
Man I played the fucking bossfight you go through a bossfog, the music plays, he does his wake up flame and then he attacks.
Plenty of time to realize you should maybe be on guard.
>. They are one of the last great developers who are not jewish, liars and greedy like most of the industry. They are worth supporting.
where the fuck have you been in the past 3 years?
not only bamco but also from soft have lied through their teeth about a lot of different things.
I hope this served as a lesson. First they tell you what you want to hear and once they got your pre-orders they switch. I dont know how can people be loyal to companies these days. They are all the same.
Time is strange in Drangleic. The devs might have not intended DLC at the start, but, as the Ancient Dragon puts it, "The murk stirs and shifts." You can never tell what's going to happen to Drangleic next. It's a strange and volatile world.
Do people forget that From has series outside of King's Field and Souls? I'm sure Armored Core fans are as happy with the company as can be, right?
I was kinda hyped to play tomorrow and to see the secret stuff in the chest in Majula, but i have a fucking interview tomorrow.
Honestly glad that I never got this game for the PC. I played it on my PS3 and that was enough. I was gonna get it for the PC eventually for the silky smooth experience, but I just don't feel like playing the game anymore and I don't want to support general jewish behavior.
lolno. People who say that the DLC has been "hacked" just don't know what the fuck hacking even is. What you gotta do is go to the door that will lead to the DLC area, use the Praise the Sun! emote and you'll be able to walk past it. Dunno if it's fixed now, but that's how everyone did it.
>a complete game at release?
Dark Souls 2 is a complete game.
>its a niche game series
We'll get increasingly inferior dark souls clones, which will saturate the market and cause you to hate the fucking genre. I'm not saying you shouldn't buy souls games, I'm saying you shouldn't support an inferior product because it sends a message to bamco: you can keep making these inferior copies and we'll eat them up cause we're spineless fuckers
Have they fixed the bullshit hitboxes, the bullshit i-frames, the bullshit 360 degree tracking, the broken online and the terrible bosses, mobs and everything else? No?
Who gives a shit.
>Have they fixed the bullshit hitboxes, the bullshit i-frames, the bullshit 360 degree tracking, the broken online and the terrible bosses, mobs and everything else?
what do you think? we're talking about the infamous b-team after all.
jesus it's sometimes so hard to communicate with you guys it hurts my brain
>you buy a cake from a baker
>he tells you he made a muffin too
>the cake is somehow not complete anymore
Worst level designs and bosses in the series. Also too many bonfires for casual shit, soul memory, and just as a whole felt really uninspired.
And who could forget the shockwaves. How can you say they've improved the gameplay mechanics when you've rolled out of harms way but are still taking damage?
Also ADP. What a fucking stupid idea.
B team/A team is debatable, but there literally has to be more than one team in order for them to have made Dark Souls 2 and Bloodborne simultaneously, as it has been stated that they started work on that immediately after they finished Artorias of the Abyss.
>/v/ now hate Dark Souls
I fucking knew it hahaha. As soon as the first game came out i said it was going to happen. You all start liking a game a lot but when it starts getting too popular you start hating it. This is the biggest hipster contrarian board in the entire site. What a shit hole.
No, it's like this.
>buy a cake
>you come back home and cut it up
>it's actually hollow inside
>you go back and ask where are the insides
>you are told you have to pay extra for the insides to be put back in
Yeah that's true.
It's just that the term B team usually is understood as a team consisting of new faces around here, when in fact most people that worked on DaS2 worked on DaS1 aswell.
>>a huge telegraphed attack
Are we looking at the same webm here? He finishes his flame breathing taunt and just moments after he's charging the player. There wasn't any wind-up or any signs at all that he would do that.
Try watching closely anon.
>baker promises cake will be finished
>you buy the cake
>he then tells you that you can now buy a subscription to get icing and a custard layer in the middle of the cake
Hitboxes are absurdly bad, enemies and bosses are mostly boring, ridiculous tracking on attacks, the bulk of the game's content being locked behind the 70~% mark, weapon scaling being complete shit on anything lower than an A rank, endurance being gimped to all hell and having the worst diminishing returns in the game, etc. I could go on, but that should be more than enough.
>4 asylum demon reskins, including smough
>bed of chaos
The only good bosses were the artorias dlc bosses.
Bed of Chaos is the most obvious.
Then there were three versions of the Asylum Demon.
Arguably the Centipede since most of the boss arena was essentially unusable.
Other than that I thought the bosses were fine, though.
I liked dark souls before anyone told me about it, i just bought a game on releae because i watched the demo and it looked like something i would like.
I loved the game then found it it got all popular. now its considered shit but i still like it. I couldnt care less what a bunch of mongoloid manchildren autsists and neo /v/ think of the games.
you guys really got to calm down
Or those people who always hated the game now voice their opinion since it's popular. What's the point of telling people you hate an obscure game? Nobody will know what you're talking about. Retard.
Except there's no evidence that any of the DLC material was release ready when the rest of the game was and the files were only added to the game a few days ago.
You make no sense. Who the hell goes on the internet for a board of a specific game he hates to spend his all day telling others is a bad game? if you dont like the game you move on. Thats what sane people do.
The only lesson I learned was that even the most seemingly trustworthy developers with good track records can and will dick you to get your money.
A lesson I thought I'd learned after ME3 and DA2, but I never expected From to turn on me.
>Except there's no evidence that any of the DLC material was release ready
The fedora fag from youtube who worked on the guide said that they integrated unused character designs, voices and animations into the DLC.
>hitboxes are absurdly bad
I agree to an extent.
>boring enemy/boss design
I didn't really care that much. All the DS1 bosses that were remotely interesting were mechanically retarded anyways.
>bulk of game locked being locked behind the 70% mark
>weapon scaling being complete shit on anything lower than an A rank
Oh, just like in DS1
>endurance being gimped to all hell and having the worst diminishing returns in the game
DS1 had so many flaws too. The only reason /v/ thinks it's better than DS2 is because "muh atmosphere and design" and because it's popular and miyazaki left.
optimization on both consoles and pc
the dlc thing happened with dark souls too
graphics downgrades happened on all three games
cut content everywhere
promises of features that have been canned just before release.
god damn son have you forgotten what a disaster the first dark souls was?
or how horrible demon souls run before the first patch?
>come back home
>get a call
>"hey! we just got some awesome condaments specifically that we can add on your cake!"
>bring the cake back
>they add the condaments
>"i regret to inform that you can't eat the condaments unless you pay."
>"but you can still eat the cake"
Why are you implying I'm bitching? I never gave a single fuck about From being shills and won't even bother getting the DLC until I get enough dosh for it or there is more viable way to get to the DLC areas than CE.
Don't ask me. I'm not the one who thinks playing the DLC as a phantom is practically a full game.
I started a new build or actually the same build i always do.
But i haven't played in like 3 months and it feels like i can't roll through attacks for shit anymore and roll takes longer to actually start after an attack.
Did something change since patch 1.04 on ps3?
Or did i just have to get into it again
every game has unused assets
DeS and DaS have a ton of that
You get fuck-all for upgrade materials unless you go right for Earthen Peak, you don't even have access to infusements until Iron Keep, most armor sets and a lot of weapons aren't even available until post-Drangleic Castle.
>Oh, just like DS1
No, because they actually fixed scaling, albeit after several patches. As it stands now, there is no real reason to use anything other than an infused weapon coupled with a buff since scaling does not bridge the damage gap at all.
>cut content is lying through their teeth!
what content/features did they promise then take away?
and yeah they screw up and do things in weird ways but its not always lying.
Maybe they did but i didnt see it and sorry but i have a hard time taking some random guys word for it especial if that guy is from 4chan.
>Those unused DeS models
It would have been so cool.
I actually really like Dark Souls 2. I never actively try to play PVP so I don't give a shit about balance and cheesy tactics, I just enjoy the SP content. I think it's a great game. That said, there are a shitload of things I don't like and it's a major fucking disappointment and by far the worst souls game.
>world design is a major step back from DaS
>just sloppy enemy placement with "the more the merrier" being the design philosophy
>even in fucking boss fights; DaS had 3 bosses where you have to deal with more than one enemy, DaS2 has like 15 of them
>stupid weapon scaling and idiotic stat rebalance
>many mechanics casualized (enemy respawn, lifegem, grass, redistributing stats, allowing to resurrect NPCs etc)
>I personally felt none of the bosses had that extra "oomph" some of the previous games' bosses had
>NPCs weren't as interesting as DeS and DaS NPCs either
>generally sloppy hit detection for larger enemies
>Soul Memory has its upsides, but it has way way waaaaay more downsides, even if it barely affects me personally
>Everyone cheers because Kyle tells everyone that all of these places have a self-destruct sequence if they break a mirror in the back. Chef tells a soldier to spread the word to all the towns on how to destroy these places, in reference to a scene from the film Independence Day. Randy then announces that the Wall-Mart's "heart" was their desires the whole time. Oblivious to the fact that the boys consider this obvious, Randy explains pedantically how the residents of South Park had allowed their consumerism to work against them and nearly destroy their cherished small-town charm. Realizing their mistake — albeit only on the surface — the townspeople loyally return to shopping at Jim's Drugs, which is shown to gradually grow larger until it reaches a Wall-Mart wholesale fashion and is later being burned down itself. Watching it burn, the townspeople vow not to shop there again, and they immediately head to the local True Value (no doubt to repeat the same mistake).
>It's like a lagstab in boss form.
Yeah, I'm watching it again now and it really looks like the dragon just slides at you. This shit is unacceptable, I'd have probably gotten hit by that too.
Unused assets are the fucking bane of game developing
Its already hard, but when you make something and you dont even get to use it for whatever reason, it just fucking hurts.
>we will never get a 6th arch stone dlc
From the little PvP I've played in DaS2, its been remarkably positive.
It's so different from seeing everyone and their mothers in DaS using the exact same builds and weapons, because more weapons are actually fucking viable compared to DaS.
I feel like a lot of the hate DaS2 gets is just people who've gotten used to the "dark souls experience" that was surprisingly foreign and exhilarating back when DeS and DaS came out.
As a game, I prefer it over the first. Its much easier to play with friends, its much easier to fuck around with builds thanks to a lot of weapons not being shit and having better trade-offs, and I like the multipath splits that leads to treasures and shit that they sort of brought back from DeS that DaS lacked by comparison.
>You get fuck-all for upgrade materials unless you go right for Earthen Peak
this is more of a person preference sort of thing, it makes you have to be more careful about choosing which weapons you dedicate yourself too. it gives you more than enough shards to beat the content.
That's funny, because I take pure physical weapons (sunsword, red rust scimitar, curved dragon greatsword) into PvP and do just fine on my sl150 guy.
You must be a shitter that needs to 2 shot everything.
>they modeled dragon god's legs
>dark souls 2
>old iron king has no legs
It was quite a huge bitch on my dual wielding run. Not to mention I had to look up online how to even fucking get there because I actually managed to miss the NPC after beating dragonrider. I would have never thought to go back to that area otherwise.
I'm not saying you can't charge extra for filling and icing, I'm just saying that you need to be honest about it. That way I can do an informed choice if I want to support Judaism or not.
>mfw finishing it and never going back to it again
I'm using non infused dual clubs for pve and non infused main and offhand estocs for pvp and i'm having no problems at all.
Pure physical is the most fun way to play and since rolling trough magic and arrows/bolts is the easiest thing ever most have to get up close which really seems to be a problem for most people.
They're beeing baitet into attacking way to easy.
But when you actually have a few good 1vs1 matches i could play forever.
Beeing beelbro but only doing 1vs1 is fun, i'll let others fight first or go away if some other bellbro joins in.
I even let the host heal as often as he wants
there is a huge difference between hating something because it is popular and hating something because of actual reasons
soul memory single handedly destroyed pvp in order to fix a very minor problem that wasnt even that big of an issue in the first place (twinking), they could have fixed it by making soul memory go away after NG but instead decided to keep it in which makes the meta even more fucked than at DaS1's worst points
I actually enjoyed the PVE over DaS1 even though it had glaring issues: hitboxes, nonsensical level design, hilariously simple boss fights that were often easier than the mobs you had to kill to get to them, gutted NPC stories and somehow even worse covenants than DaS1.
the pve is decent but people dont get 500 hours+ in a souls game by playing the story
>there is no real reason to use anything other than an infused weapon
i played for 300 hours since day one without ever using a single, not a single fucking infused weapon and I'm wrecking people's shit every day
you are so wrong it's hilarious
>choose to sell parts of that thing made at the same time separately
>a minority of people, that I have no obligation to, think that I'm somehow bound to sell everything together or give those parts away for free
DLC in a nutshell
I have a STR/FTH build and a good 60% of my weapons are actually better uninfused that they are when infused with lightning. I have really just given up on my infusions at thi spoint
It's not a matter of laziness. It's a waste of time. It's something that's never viewable within the confines of the game. There might have not been so much cut content if they didn't waste time fucking around with something that only the development team would see.
Are there no enemies in the first DLC?
I only see boss screenshots and webms.
Also everything looks like dark chasm.
I really didn't expect anything from the DLC and maybe the 2nd and 3rd one have better architecture.
The main game too.
Stuff like shrine of amana, draenlic stairs and dragon aerie looked great but the rest was just bland and boring.
The memories also could've been way better.
I don't want to shout, muh b-team, but i can't think of any other reason than this and that miyazaki wasn't really involved.
Does the whole team just go full make it hard mode and can't make a game as good as DeS and DaS1 just because of miyazaki?
He is a great man but the other can't be that useless
Daily reminder that poise works in PvP now and that stunlocking shitters are getting fucked left and right.
It's hilarious to see how many actual new players DaS2 got, when they can't handle hyper armor because they were so used to just mashing attack to get free stunlocks for like 80% of someone's health using their buffed sticks. And it's even more hilarious that they never announced it in the patch notes that they fixed it.
You have no idea how good it feels to shit all over these stunlock-loving cunts after taking their shit for like 5 months. It's impossible to get me mad about DLC stuff, this PvP is just too fun now. Try it out and chill.
Is this some kind of joke?
DLC is highway robbery.
More often than not the value all of the dlc ends up being half of the games new retail price. They know theyre releasing dlc and how much it will cost so they may as well say if you want to experience the full game gives us 89.99 or 59.99 for the standard edition.
Theyre greedy fucking jews so I just wait until I can get the game used for 15 bucks then I spend what wound've spent on the new copy on dlc.
dlc=automatic buying used
Seriously. It's like the B team got ALL the hitboxes wrong except the goddamn crystal lizards and those fucking pigs at Majula. Shit eating lizards are borderline impossible to hit with many melee weapons.
>They took off the stamina drain kick for an shitty shove that takes days to use and insta breaks guards
>Enemies also have inf stamina when they block and some attack animations THAT SHOWS THEIR SHIELD WINDING UP FOR A PUNCH STILL COUNTS AS THEM BLOCKING
I hate this shit so much.
Also why not have the way of blue be the police and defend people from invaders and just leave the Blue sentinels as the dorkmoons? the way of blue is just fuckin pointless.
It's one thing for a boss to have a certain gimmick, like the demon of song, where you can't do any harm on 75% on its body or something and have to hit only certain areas.
It's another to just make you run and jump like a super mario bros asshole over spontaneous insta-death holes while avoiding virtually-insta-death bitchslaps, in a game that clearly isn't about running & jumping and platforming.
That was definitely the worst boss in DSI, everything else was actually fairly original.
Except that you haven't expained WHY you think that they are gimmick bosses and poor balance.
You're like that faggot who complains that there's a cover system in a shooting game. Just listing things in a game doesn't make it a valid complaint, you have to use your big boy words if you can.
> comes out tomorrow
> in america tomorrow
> which means that half of the fucking world will get the content at least 6 hours later
GOOD FUCKING JOB, VALVE AND FROM, VERY FUCKING GOOD ON PUBLIC RELATIONS
the shove was a great idea and makes using shields harder but it still leaves you open for attacks
Blue Sentinels should be able to help all people who are invaded except for people from Brotherhood of Blood. This should include Belfry invasions and people that are summoned as a grey spirit to a Rat Covenant member's world.
Way of Blue should get 2 blue sentinels to help them while everyone else just gets 1.
Also give people an infinite Red Orb to increase the number of invasions, which would also increase the usefulness of Blue Sentinels
>please spoonfeed me how bosses using models that are 99% the same are reskins
>please spoonfeed me how pinwheel and the butterfly going down in two hits is poor balance
>please spoonfeed me how making the boss invisible or making the boss teleport away seconds after you get close to it because they couldn't be assed to come up with proper movesets for them is a gimmick
Are you seriously fucking daft? Were you dropped on your head as a child or were you actually born this way?
here come the idiots on /v/ who talk like they knew shit
the kick had no use whatso ever
the shove on the other hand is great to punish turtlers and to initiate
fuck, it made almost everyone drop the shield for the the most time after the game was released and you almost saw nobody using it cause they were to dumb to dodge or stop turtling, it took long until they finally smartened up to avoid it and the watchers shield only got used because of the parry
and its also great to start a combo, especially against people that try to stay to close and backstab you
of course you will fall on your nose if you only spam it constantly, but use it wisely and its a great addition to your regular moves
i still use it regulary in PvP and played hundreds of hours in DaS2
>Somehow we don't know shit
Wow you're just digging yourself a deeper hole aren't you champ.
>Still playing DaS2
No wonder, that game's made you retarded.
You don't know what a gimmick is. Giving attributes to a boss is an attribute.
Also Pinwheel & the butterfly don't go down in two hits, they might not be the hardest bosses in the game, but they're not really proper end-level bosses either. Nito and Sif are the proper bosses of those areas.
I'm just saying he shouldn't be so proud about beating turtling idiots who fall for the shove.
I used shove maybe 10 times shortly after ps3 release after that anyone who isn't a complete idiot just walks backwards and i haven't even used a shield after my first few hours
which only works against someone who's afk
dont worry, I enjoyed that myself a few times
but in a real fight? useless
>no, you are retarded
>'still playing DaS2'
great arguments champ, bet you are the star at all the parties
I just made a new melee build for the dlc to play on ng.
I got trough it in 5 hours with my usual equipment and all bosses+ tons of dlc.
It's redicioulus how short the game is even if you don't try to rush it
thanks for 'shoving' words in my mouth
i barely hit anyone with a shield with my shove, as i said most people completely stopped using shields for a long time after release
the most hits have been against backstabfishers that constantly try to circle you, thanks to the tracking of the shove its easy to hit them, and against scimi/parrydagger/watchershield user who tried to parry, both the shove and jumping attacks (which thankfully were made much less punishable than in DaS2) were the cornserstones of my battles against anyone who tried to parry
Nashand-ELANA summons random creatures and even bosses like velstadt
you also get to fight the 3 stooges (aka not-havel and his fuckbuddies)
>More attacks than Nashandra
You sure about that?
>3 hit melee combo
>Laserbeam that influcts curse that moves horizontally
>Laserbeam that influcts curse that moves vertically
>3 hit melee combo
>3 Dark Orbs
Only difference is that Elana can teleport and summon skeletons and velstadt that inflict poison, where-as nashandra can summon those curse-inflicing orbs that die in a single hit.
*MOST*devs are not "jewish" or retarded, 99% of the time you can blame the publisher. In this case, I blame namco entirely, namco is fucking cancer. FROM is talented in many ways and almost amateur in others (optimization etc) but shit like this rehashing, DLC and crap, this is Namco
an exception would be bioware, they are shit with or without EA.
I honestly don't get why people hate SM so much. Lower level characters get help from other lower levels and it stops people from just sitting there all day getting summoned for the same boss over and over. Same thing goes for PvP and bumps people up after what 1.2m souls? If you farmed that much souls then you should know what you're doing against other players.
>b-but I invade/get invaded by people 200 levels above me
git gud faggot and stop complaining.
SM also makes it so that there are better chances for NG+++ and above to summon sunbros and white phantoms. I personally like SM.
That's not even true, there is a video of Miyazaki talking how he directs and what he tells his team. Certain enemy designs and level design, he tells his team specific stuff like don't try to gross people out with maggot filled horror things etc. The devs of DaS II did almost everything opposite in many regards
Miyazaki did not work on DaS II
>Vanilla game was utter shit
>new patches that don't fix than and instead break the game further
>still B team
>Bloodborne announced and shown
gee I wonder why nobody gives a shit about your dead game?
go back to /vg/ and set up your lame as "event" so you're not the only one playing pvp
>he tells his team specific stuff like don't try to gross people out with maggot filled horror things etc.
his game was full of maggoty disgusting enemies
>Miyazaki did not work on DaS II
he was the supervisor. He approved of every bad idea and he even came up with soul level, non-respawning enemies and DLC
Supervisor means shit when it comes to game design, he has no authority
and no it wasn't, the nastiest you got was undead dragon, which didn't even look as grotesque as it could have
it killed cosplay/invasion builds and destroyed a lot of diversity in PvP builds
the game only needed two things: gear/spell restriction or handicaps for invaders and a max level
No one is interested in Ds2 anymore. The online will never be fixed, the balance will never be right and dlc will always be shit when it's added to the game months after release
>implying you can't do any of those or can't be diverse.
Just because something's hard to do doesn't meant it doesn't exist.
They should have kept how gears worked in DaS (heavy = greater poise while light = faster rolls and recovery) instead of what they have now.
Oh god oh god I can't breathe...
This thread is fucking golden.
You B-team cocksuckers are fucking hilarious, please never change you fucking retards.
leveling up END in DaS did the same thing didn't it? Only difference is that this time robed players can go MLG R1 blow trades with people in full havels with no downside since they both get stunned for no raisin.
>Just because something's hard to do doesn't meant it doesn't exist
no im pretty sure you cant go to a place and consantly invade people of a certain level, say like a irongolem build in sens or dickwraith cosplay back in DaS1 unless you use save backups
and PvP is inherently less diverse the longer you play, everyone can use the best buffs, the best spells, the best weapons and the best armor without a disadvantage and at the same time
yes diversity is still there, but it has been quite gimped in that regard
Maybe I'm missing something but why are you talking about cosplays in DaS when I meant DaS2?
Like I said, just because it's more difficult to do deasn't mean it doesnt exist. You can still diversify your build to you heart's content. It may be harder to PvP with but that's part of the allure of the souls series isn't it?
If I remember correctly I was doing fast rolls with almost full havels (never used the helmet and gloves) in DaS with around 40-50 END and Havel's ring?
Fuck off cis scum
Who the fuck are you to tell me women can't be kings? My Tumblr followers are going to have a field day with your bullshit
>why are you talking about cosplays
because i mentioned it early and meant low-level invasions and cosplays in low level areas(not the usual cosplay just for dueling), when you talked about why SM is so bad
it killed them completely
>You can still diversify your build to you heart's content
yes you can gimp yourself (I do that myself with pleasure), but nobody else does it cause they dont want to, you can see people converging against the the same kind of highly armored warrior with infused and buffed weapons in one hand and a watchershield/scimi in the other, using GMB and Sacred Oath
sometimes you see that one guy using only robes and a staff trying his hardest to play a sorcerer or a brawler using his fists, but most times thats just not the case
>not so subtle photographer taking an underskirt photo
Damn, her skirt serves no purpose whatsoever.
What did you do already?
I really like the normal club in ds2
And always end up with full alonne set+ dual clubs for pve deals ultra high damage and stuns almost everything and dual estoc for pvp or not dual wield just one in each hand and then r1l1r1l1 and i always keep vig low, so i just push adp and vit to 30 and the rest goes into str and end
Right now I'm using a +10 lightning estoc and sometimes switching over to a +5 Defenders Greatsword and I'm using Sunlight blade If I'm using the estoc, Sunlight spear, and sacred oath plus dragon armor
Yeah cosplaying IN Dark Souls 2 but you we more on DaS1 since you mentioned sens and darkwraiths. Low level cosplaying should still be viable as long as you have skill to pull it off. SM just makes it so that its not just someone capping themselves at 60 to cosplay invade new comers to the souls series, which happened quiet a lot in DaS1.
I'm still pissed there's no Old Dragonslayer armor.
i can agree.
cant speak for all of /v/ though.
>tfw saw easy 9/10 grill passed out on the local train station, lying on her side with her skirt literally turned the wrong way, wearing fucking lingerie underneath
Fastest boner I've ever grown, fuck me.
What bothers me is why they're releasing the DLC on a Monday/Tuesday. Other than that, I'm every eager to play the DLC.
because of an actual good pc port and all the hype.
did you miss DaS1 ps3 launch or DeS prime time.
It felt like the whole world played the game.
Don't get me wrong though DS2 is fun to play and online works great, especially on pc you summon someone or get summoned, wait 3 seconds and boom
I'm actually more a ps3 player with souls games since DeS but the load times sometimes takes 15-20 seconds in which some stuff like belltower fights can already be over
Excuse me, but i genuinely cant follow you here right now.
>Low level cosplaying should still be viable as long as you have skill to pull it off
Tell me what 'skill' stops you from increasing your SM by invading and killing others.
There are two critical facts that completely killed any kind of low-level invasions, both steming from the introduction of Soul Memory:
First, you will never be able to stop in one area and keep invading people that pass by, either you will get more SM by playing the game or just by killing people getting souls.
Second, people have absolutely no reason to make new characters, either you keep leveling up your character to do more things while you still can connect to most other people in the highest brackets or you just re-allocate your stats to do a different build, which makes new players almost the only source of new characters playing through the game
werent all the tracks the same anyway?
is there ANYTHING in DaSll that felt unique?
the game felt like a sidegraded rehash to me.
That's exactly my point. You CAN'T stop your SM from increasing which makes it so after a while you can't invade people on NG runs which happened a lot on DaS1. People would stay at moderately low levels and invade people who may have just purchased the game and have no sense of their surroundings yet.
someone will eventually assemble a list of the shit Dasll did wrong. and then copypasta it to hell.
this is going to be fallout 3 vs. vegas all over again.
only this time the older entry is better
He's president. That's all he does now.
Wait, do people really think the president of a company is going to actively be involved in the development of its games? Top lel, do you fags think batman is a true story too?
which is terrible
if you can't fix it, just remove it, right?
people have been complaining about it since forever
instead of trying to balance or restrict the euqipment of an invader they just force everyone into higher brackets
many enjoyed staying in certain areas and invading new blood and that has been almost completely taken away
It's funny because even though people say Demon's is the best Souls game, DaSII had more people from the development team than DaS. Does Myiazaki does that much of a difference?
Holy fucking dicks. I just showed up at Blighttown, and everything is cool, I know that it's supposed to be a hard check for first time players or something. The only problem so far besides those fucking archers is that I've only found one bonfire. The one on the bridge early on. I hear there's one down near the waterwheel at the bottom, but the two tries that I've gotten there I haven't seen it, and getting there is getting pretty taxing on my patience. anyone want to tell me if there's one there or maybe one before it? I know I have to git gud, but this will take time and preferably a lack of those
FUCKING TOXIC ARCHERS BLOW DART FUCKS.
judging by how DaSll plays/feels, apparently.
the game forces difficulty by swarming the player in every possible situation.
fuck, it has BOSSES dedicated to swarming.
Watch or read some of his interviews.
He just scratches anything he thinks isn't perfect, atmosphere, world design etc. wise.
I don't think he's involve into gameplay that much except for saying that it should be fair but a challenge instead of just beeing trying to be hard so i still don't get how they fucked up the gameplay so hard when it just needed a few tweaks coming from ds1,
that was one of the first DaSll gifs to be posted.
the games hitboxes are shit in a way most cant even comprehend.
Yeah, the only other bonfire is from the bridge, go down to the ground floor, then hug the wall to the right. It's pretty obvious, I have no idea how you missed it
The waterwheel is on the next island over, so inbetween where you get off and the waterwheel, if you need directions
Also, if you look around you can find and kill those blowdart dudes - they don't respawn
>invading new players over and over is fun! You know what I hate? Having to actually PvP against people who know what they're doing. How dare they force me to fight stronger people.
Did you also like it when people would form gank squads in the forest and wait by the spawn point to stun lock you to death? Or were you in those gank squads yourself.
use the spider sheild and a bow.
boom, problem solved.
soul memory leads to encountering players who FORM gank squads. if you played the danm PvP you would know that by now.
Shitty top down map, orange dot is the bonfire in a small tunnel.
Right brown thing is where you came from the first time, so the tunnel is between that part and the wheel, just hug the wall.
>poise through the hits
>s-such precise hit b-boxes!
did you also like to read my post?
cause i doubt you even tried to read everything
yes, that shit needed real balancing in some form but From didn't have to completely remove something many enjoyed
more variety is fine, hell, i like variety.
but using swarms to make up for a lack of inherent challenge is bad game design.
>the players arent finding the enemies hard?
>what do you mean theyre dumb as bricks?
>fuck that, add more of them, players will love it!
>implying I didn't just finish PvPing at iron keep against people hundreds of levels above myself and loving it when I do significant damage over time.
>Implying gank squads are worse in DaS2 than is the forest.
Did you also like to learn English?
Cause I don't even
Yes I read your post which is why I came to the conclusion of you liking to hunt new players. Which is fine to the point where all you do is invade new players. Soul Memory "balances" this by saying stop killing noobs faggot and git gud.
>the games hitboxes are shit in a way most cant even comprehend.
You are seriously overplaying this card.
Yes there are some obvious examples of it being an issue, but it isn't prevalent.
It's bought up and overstated so much I just completely ignore it every time someone mentions it because they're crying about something that happens a handful of times (regardless of how obvious it is)
>gank squads get real old real quick when you want a proper fight and not TWoP, spells, and WoG
>getting killed by spell fags as I spawn makes me git gud for future invasion and am thankful instead of running away from hard fights
>y u mad tho
soul memory does nothing but force players into brackets, regardless of skill or level.
did you farm? guess your getting invaded by havel-hexers
did you invade a few people? look at all those spirits of vengeance!
did you try to have fun with the game? guess what! your in the big leagues now, and its FULL of magic!
whether or not you invade is no concern. SM fucks over everyone.
especially with the new scaling for magic
hey look! you just described DaSll to the letter!
I haven't seen a hex or havelhex or even santiers or avelin in weeks.
Everyone knows that this shit is useless now and easy to dodge.
There are fun and far builds all over the place now
>did you invade a few people? look at all those spirits of vengeance!
If you're getting that many that's it's becoming a problem and they won't stop then you've attained Wraith status, which means you've invaded more than "a few"
Don't dish it out if you can't take it pussy-boi
soul memory is still shit though
i didnt even invade. i killed an NPC, which puts you at wraith status faster than you can blink.
and all the fuckers were faith builds.
Yeah, some of them are just out of the way enough to give me the thought "Eh if I just run by I won't have to deal with him again." I guess they built it around punishing that mentality though, haha. I'll give another look, thanks.
Keeping Spider Shield in mind for later, thanks.
And to anyone who asks why I don't just google this shit I feel a lot better asking for help from someone in real time for some reason, it feels less casual than looking at a guide.
if you farmed souls then you should have know that you were going to reach the cap for low level PvP so that's your own fault.
If you invade people then doing complain about being invaded yourself.
Just because you have to fight high level magic doesn't mean you can't have fun. In fact that's part of the fun and you should have know that from DaS1.
If you have trouble getting through areas while trying to complete them then go offline. Otherwise you brought it upon yourself when you get invaded.
you are completely ignoring what im saying
why shouldnt someone be allowed to keep invading people in different areas of his choosings? say, hypothetically speaking, the game would force the invader to use somewhat equally strong Equipment as the host's or give the invader a penalaty/handicap
what reason would there be to stop him having fun disrupting other's playthrough while being on almost equal footing?
thats the whole fucking point of invasions and while many just tried to overwhelm new players in DaS1, many also tried to create interesting encounters for others
> which puts you at wraith status faster than you can blink.
wraith requires 100 sin
If you've only killed one npc you won't even be a sinner, you've done more than that
[spoilers]faith builds are the most boring shit though, I bet they all had greatswords and katanas too[/spoilers]
ok, i killed more than a few. its still bullshit that you cant revert the sinner status.
yes i went to oswald. i still was getting invaded. so i killed him too.
i wouldnt know. i usually killed the fuckers
does that increase sin? its stupid if it does.
also quit the game a month after release, it was just so fucking boring.
There was already a penalty/ handicap for invaders and it wasn't enough. Any more and people would complain about how much they're being handicapped in PvP and how it's not fair that the +15 weapons they have is only doing minimal damage. SM is a better way to stop this by making it so that if you want to invade low level then have gear for that area and invade a certain amount of souls until you're OP. If you want to keep invading that area then no one's stopping you from making new characters.
>no one's stopping you from making new characters
that is absolutely stupid, and some people were even using backup save files to keep invading (as long as people kept coming that is)
you seem to just hate others having fun or got your ass handed to you too often in undead parish
Have they fixed people stacking 40 buffs on themselves yet?
