I don't think Marie's a bad character but she did suffer from being squeezed into a plot that didn't really have room for her.
They should have just removed all of her shit from the main story and stuck her stuff after persona 4 in place of the epilogue.
Like have a playable month where they meet Marie, hang out with her, grow to like her and then the dungeon happens.
Having an extra episode at the end is better than all these little shoehorned moments in the story that aren't substantial enough.
I did enjoy her dungeon though.
