Sorry to tell you, but the Jammin' Ninja doesn't even compare to the Steel Samurai.
Why? First of all, the Jammin' Ninja is a show directed to young girls. Not like the Steel Samurai, which is directed to young and older audiences alike.
Second, the Steel Samurai is much more pleasing to watch than the Jammin' Ninja. Sure, if you prefer watching a ninja singing about love and friendship, instead of a hero of justice, fighting against all evil, that's your opinion. But I think that the second option is for people with the most refined taste.
Finally, the lore in the Steel Samurai's universe is deeper, than the Jammin' Ninja's. You can see how every character develops through the story: their origins, their feelings, their reasons to fight. Meanwhile, the only thing Jammin' Ninja does is sing to save Princess Misola and become a superstar.
So, as you can see, Steel Samurai has superior characteristics, ergo, being the superior show.

I am sorry, but I am inclined to disagree with you on that matter. While Steel Samurai truly offers traditional male show (or 'shounen') values, it also comes with its own fair share of tired clichés.
The Nickel Samurai is, however, a deep post-modern deconstruction of the qualities of its medium, aimed at playing with the expectations of run-of-the-mill 'shounen' or Samurai animation fun.
In that sense, I do believe it far exceeds the potential of The Steel Samurai as a piece of art, despite being less accessible for the pure entertainment value alone and more fit for the enjoyment of a connoisseur.

I've played them all except for AAI2, but I played them so damn casually (translating: played a bit before sleep) that I really don't remember most of the cases. I love the discussions here on /v/ because, aside from MGS, it seems that they are the only polite threads

It took me about two months to clear the DLC case from DD, because I was coming late from work every day and slept rather quickly, with little to no energy/time left for saving Orca.

I want to play them all again, but in a quicker pace now that I've got more free time from my job. For anyone that already played the Trilogy remake on 3DS: I know it's mostly based on the iOS version, which I actually couldn't stand. Has the manequin heads (pic related) been fixed? Does it feel better than on iPad/iPhone? Otherwise I'll just grab my old DS Lite.

Uh, it's pretty much finished.
They still say it's a beta because a typo or two could've slipped by, but it's all solid and works great.
The only bug is that text can get cut off when you change screens (when 3D examining evidence or loading progress). Nothing major, and it rarely happens.

aai2 is good but takes itself a little too seriously, ups the stakes too high and overall the cases are pretty simple and not as interesting as in other games

people will suck up to it for a while because the translation just came out, but its not the best game

Sometimes connected cases are neat, but I think I prefer standalone cases. I like the variety that the self-contained cases present, instead of trying to make things into a big elaborate murder conspiracy tale. It's one of the reasons the first game is probably my favorite--any case that's somehow connected to the one you're working on was wrapped up along with your primary case. It felt like an anthology of awesome stories instead of one big story divided into little segments.

Still haven't gotten to AAI2 yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
Finishing up a replay of AJ, then I want to go through AAI one more time before I dive into AAI2. It'll be nice not having to be so cautious about what I look at in these threads again.

Forgot to mention in my previous post, but I think my preference for standalone cases is why I don't mind the long ones. I've been real bummed that we haven't had a 3-day case since the first game.
