FFTA2 is a much better game, kinda simplistic, but it's better designed and even though the main character is a dunce he's not a badly written dunce.

"Used" is not inherently a bad thing. His "use" of Ovelia involved saving her life, protecting her, and making her queen. His "use" of Ramza involved pointing him in the right direction for his own goals (which happened to coincide with Delita's). The church got what they had coming.

Go to the development section to see the changes. The plot of the game is above it, so warning if you care.

Mostly all very positive stuff they changed. The dialogue change was pretty idiotic though. They could have just fixed some of the localization errors, but instead they gave everyone biblespeak dialogue.

Still, I'd go FFT if you want the real experience. The same experience we're all giddy about. But War of the Lions is overall a better game.

I think you should get both.

It is pretty much FFV with a bit less charm. It has a few elements of FFIV in it as well, such as picking up temporary characters and things like that.

I really liked it, but IV/V/VI are my favourite Final Fantasies so some of it may have been nostalgia for me.
