everyone always says fallout online sucks because you just get ganked by random slavs, are they right? I love classic fallout

I remember trying to take control of The Hub with a group of guys probably 6 years ago. There were maybe 20 of us keeping watch when suddenly some blueshirt with a russian name comes running through town. Nobody knew what to do so one guy shot him. Maybe 1 minute later, a group of heavily armed ruskies all in power armor and packing rockets, miniguns, and lasers spawn in on all exits and slaughter us all in minutes.
All the regular suicide bombers spawning in on NCR trying to kill people at the shops.
All the shit I had to shovel just to afford a few bullets and a leather jacket.
Also the times when I tried to leave NCRs and noticed someone trying to follow me back to my tent. Good times. Pity no first party devs would have the balls to make a game as hardcore as Fonline.

Ehhh it depends on where you go, the hub seems pretty dangerous sometimes but from my experience it ain't too bad, i really haven't seen many ruskies on there lately. Besides, the wipe means that everyone starts out with nothing so its the perfect time to play.

The context of the story is too dull and every single MMBN game starts the exact same way, so I haven't had the desire to start any new ones.

I tried one of the Starforce games and couldn't get through the exposition, explanations and tutorials that shouldn't have to exist this many games in a row.

Nostalgia's a bitch and no one wanted to try anything new. The series was still better than any battle network after 3.

I'm still mad about 4.

I like 5 and 6. It's understandable if you don't like them since 3 has some incredible difficulty spikes in comparison, but they're not bad.

There was a time when you could trust /v/'s recommendations pretty reliably, actually.

It was a long time ago. Nowdays, people rarely recommend at all, definitely not in large enough numbers to establish any kind of statistical relevance, and everyone is way too preoccupied with shitting on everything and proving how hardcore contrarians they are.

I want to see how extensive the "mod support" will be. If they go as far as to provide a kit for modders to make shit and they can make entire new quests and shit then it could have massive potential.
Even more if it worked with the multiplayer.
