Theres the knight dude with 2 blades, smelter demon, and dlc bosses that are actually hard. But its like 35 hours long. Way too fucking long and world isn't as intuitive and fun to explore as DeS and Dark Souls. Was just a disappointment. NPCs are bland, world looks beautiful though, hollows look like humans? It just feels off and is way too long, builds aren't as interesting either

Sounds like a steambox is perfect for you, but I don't even know if they make them any more.

I currently have my pc connected to a tv for maximum comfy. It doesn't "just work" due to the open nature of a pc but it is nothing too difficult.

A steambox is one option but Steamos limits you to linux compstible games. You could try to run Windows games which usually works with some tweaking but that defeats the console experience.

Alienware made a Windows based "console" called the alpha but it is a little old now. It even had a propietary ui.

The last option is a steam link but i have heard that if you can't run it wired then don't bother.

You could just hook up a tv and have it boot straight into Steam Big Picture, I'm pretty sure.

Because a modern game takes 15 minutes to start up. Between game updates, system updates, all the logos, and throwing DLC news at you, it's a few minutes before you can even begin playing.

I think this is a sign to diversify your interests. I've been unemployed and dropped out of university. It's hard to have that happen and feel like you can spend leisure time playing games. I'm trying to turn things around and believe I'll enjoy gaming again when I am successful in other ways. I do sometimes wish I could shut off my brain and just lose myself in a game. Persona 5 came close to that feeling.
