Mine arrived today, 30 bucks off eBay. It's a great little thing, my only issue is that I only have the fucking terrible ball attachment, so I'm going to have to build myself a gun handle out of an old lightgun.
The tutorial demo where you touch a pretend ball floating in the air was fucking baller. I'm used to the kind of FFB you get off steering wheels, but this was like there was actually something there. For a second, I thought the thing was actually broken, that's how hard the imaginary ball being simulated by the motor felt. The actual unit starts sliding across the desk if you try and push against it hard enough.
Game wise, I booted up HL2, and had a bit of fun. The ball grip just kills your hand after 20 minutes though, so you can barely play. It's also pretty hard to actually control, especially with recoil, I really can't see anyone using something like this for MP. Maybe it'll be better with a proper grip.
Overall, it's a bit of fun. It's a shame haptics seem utterly dead these days, it's like we're moving into a terrible world of "touch sensitive" garbage.

i think the biggest issue is the difficulty, and unfounded expectations of the game being a shooter
you start the game, you find some synthetics, and then you realize you can't beat their asses to death
same with the alien
in my opinion, the game gets normie when you get the shotgun and flamethrower, but sadly many people will bail out earlier

It was too long. Usual horror games take around 10hours to finish while this game was twice as long. The length would be alright had you been given the flamethtower later. When you obtain the weapon, the ayylmao loses all the respect and power since you can just turn around whenever it appeqrs and spray it with some flames.
When you had to rely only on your firegranades, it was cool. They could have introduced some sort of fire trap instead of the flamethtower, which would give you more sense of safety but would not make you too defendable (?) like the flamethtower did. Then give the player the flamethtower in the last two hours of the game.

The main friendly competitive aspect of Splash Magikarp is a game competing to get your magikarp to splash the highest.
Feed and train your magikarp to jump higher through other minigames and collectable items
Villagers will often offer advice or training in return for certain resources.
You can fish to catch more magikarp, up to 5 at the beginning. These magikarp have different stats and will fare better in certain minigames.
Stars will be at E3 in some form

Classic. A bit "dated" by today's standards bla bla but I personally think it still holds up, and being able to switch between 3rd person and 1st person camera helps navigating the action stages. My favorite are the aerial battle missions though, which are only the first and last levels. Pure ludo though.

I rented this one and I remember it being as good as SotE's airship combat, but this one was bigger and required more strategy. Didn't beat it but enjoyed.
