INPUT COMMANDChecked the catalogue and I didn't see one so lets have a Starcraft/RTS thread
I always felt like mass effect could've worked well for a rts skin.

Fucking loved SC, but even moreso Warcraft 3 andBattle Realms. I still think that the renaissance of RTS will come through hybridisation with Dota-likes, which will slowly get closer to their roots by incorporating base-building elements.
I want a new RTS but they all suck. The only one that was close to be something really good was Deserts of Kharak and was really short and the expensiveness made it to never take off.
What else is there that is good?
>DoW3 never happened
When I was a kid, Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I got into, despite growing up with Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask being what they were. I rented Ocarina when I was 6 but I turned on the game, loaded a save file, got face raped by a Redead, and got scared.
Anyway, one thing that really sticks out in my mind about Wind Waker is the sense of scope and adventure, of course, but when you hit the edge of the map...
King of Red Lions says something ominous about the ocean getting dangerous and uncharted beyond that point. My curious and overactive 11-year-old mind always imagined the other worlds and kingdoms out there. Different Islands, different creatures... different adventures. I would write stories about Link traveling to these other lands and the things he'd do and people he'd meet (technically fanfiction but I kept them in my own notebook and they were short with some crude sketches). Despite all its flaws, Wind Waker remained my favorite Zelda game (and game in general) long after.
Until Breath of the Wild came out.
Twilight Princess didn't do it, and Skyward Sword didn't do it, but playing BotW, about 100 hours in, I realized that I was basically living the stories I'd imagined and dreamt of as a kid. Link going on huge adventures beyond the sea.
But then I realized something else. I hit the edge of the map, and saw the huge, insurmountable clifface, and my mind sparked: what is beyond there? What's up there? A city? A castle? A monster? An ocean?
Looking up there invokes in me the same feeling I had as a kid, only I'd lost and forgotten since growing up. I'm 24 now. Kind of jaded. Kind of grumpy. But seeing that cliff... and imagining what else could be out there...I don't know, kind of gives me a good feeling.
Like there's always more than what we're doing now.
Anyway, sorry for the personal blog post. Just felt like sharing.

Yeah, personally I really wonder what's up with those twin islands off in the sea. I tried boating there thinking it was going to be some neat Eventide-like unique event but turns out you can't reach them. It'd be neat if the final DLC unlocked at least part of those off limit sections put I doubt it.

There are dozens of games with different dodge techniques than dark souls.
Sometimes your character obviously dive into the attack by themselves.
so apparently this game is a huge fucking deal somewhere out there, with a fanbase and everything. Did I miss something? Never heard of this until some recommendations started filling up my youtube searches recently because
>DUDE YOU LIKE GAMES RIGHT HERE'S THIS EBIN LETSPLAY OF A SPOOKY GAME
and its steam reviews are raising quite a few red flags, such as any negative review being rated down into shit despite having solid arguments
It's a really shitty indie game that got super lucky because a fan song became a huge hit and thus advertised the game for free.

On sale in the PS store, how is it? If it means anything I like the films
Generic open world follow-the-pointer game, only this time with the blandest environment possible annoying side characters, and decent driving
It's actually a pretty solid game. It's where all the resources that WB didn't spend on the Arkham Knight PC port went, and it's actually a lot of fun.
It does a good job of being true to at least the new movie, but overall it's a fun car game, a fun brawler, a fun open-world game, and a good homage to Mad Max as a series. I'd pick it up for $40 or less.

Sounds like its worth the 12 euros
Jrpg fag here. I want to play a wrpg. Ive done the basic ones, vtmb, fallout 2, bg1. I want something classic but either immersive, well written, good rpg mechanics etc.
I was thinking somethung DnD or fantasy based, and am willing to play as far back as the gold box games as long as the 80s stuff from the west isn't Nintendo levels of cryptic.
I'd play something newer too of course
gold box are too dated
If you've played BG1 and haven't played BG2 you owe it to yourself to do so. Theres a reason it's still considered by many to be an all time great. Gold box games are just fine, but they work off of hardcore AD&D rules, which if you aren't familiar with you're probably fucked. They have no form of a tutorial or the like and the UI can be fairly convoluted. I'd also recommend Arcanum. Made by the same folks that made Fallout 1+2 it's a steampunk setting where magic and technology are at odds. Fantastic story and dialogue system that emphasise player choice.
What are some horror games that take place in the sea?
Soma is pretty good if you can handle a horrible protagonist,
Bioshock 1-2 have a nice underwater atmosphere to them, even though there are just a few outside-underwater sections.
Subnautica cvan also be pretty creepy even though it is not a horror gam
Also this.
