viable as in can beat the game - yes. Optimal is to go with dex/str scaling and cast a weapon buff if you have high faith/int. That is for DS3 btw.

Actually it means "an intellectual film that requires knowledge of films to appreciate, and wouldn't be understood by beginners."

I suppose we can extrapolate that into video games to mean "a game that casuals wouldn't understand, but more experienced and skilled players love."

It's all about picking up on subtleties that most people overlook and being able to breakthrough something that isn't immediately intuitive or easy.

The balance is all different because of ease of use and improved unit AI. Like psi storm does no damage because of how easy it is to tab to your templar and lay down a huge blanket of storms, compared to brood war where you have to have them hotkeyed and clone. Means that you just get big boring deathball fights that are over immediately with very little influence from the player.

The design is pretty garbage though, yeah. Just like D3 compared to D2. Typical nu-blizz.
