Looking for ways to fill my depression filled life. Anyone else like these video games that kids are all about these days?
Go socialize face-to-face with people and start exercising regularly, preferably outside in nature. Congrats, your depression is gone.
>>388932080
>just do the things that your depression stops you from doing
Wow, you've cured me! Thanks Doc!
masturbate 5 times a day MINIMUM

Lets post them boys.
Thoughts on mine? I want to add more to it but don't know what
>unironically using bloatmeter

What is your favorite version of Tetris?
I don't like Tetris.
>>388462852
Right now, Puyo puyo tetris. My favorite used to Tengen Tetris purely for theme B and the fact I played a shit ton of it on a bootleg gba cart.
If we're talking about regular Tetris, the Tetris DS.
Is this worth it, /v/?

>Skyrim looks pretty nice
Stopped reading right there.
>meanwhile on the nexus
i'm gonna be real with you right now op that genuinely looks worse than half life 2
I can't explain why, but this if my favourite Nintendo console since the SNES
being a shill would explain it
>>388462347
who cares? they don't make them anymore
>>388462347
I don't know why, but I want a lot of RPGs on this thing.
I'd probably have the Borealis still have half the crew alive, and occasionally travelling to other universes, having to live off of whatever they can find as they are unable to find Earth again.
The game takes place in 6-dimensional space, with the familiar 3 spatial dimensions, but also 3 universal dimensions.
If one were to render the latter 3 dimensions, it would be a shell of universes surrounding Xen; and every point in this shell is an entire universe.
The player acquires at some point in the game a portal gun, but instead of creating a hole in the wall you are facing towards, it translates spatial orientation to universal orientation and creates a tunnel facing towards the universe you're pointed at.
This would explain something of Half Life's canon: The difficulty of same-universe teleportation.
A "horizontal" teleportation would send you to the universe next to yours, a "upwards-diagonal" teleportation would send you to some other universe, an "upwards" teleportation would send you to Xen, and a "downwards" teleportation would send you god-knows where. None of those send you to the same universe, only a clever trick with upwards teleportation sends you to the same universe.
cont.
Your goal, of course, is to track down the Borealis wherever it is in 6 dimensional space.
However, the Combine are also capable of multiversal travel, so they're trying to track down the Borealis too.
And the Borealis itself is often on the move, and modified to the point of unrecognisability, having salvaged mostly-biological components from hundreds of alien planets.
Unlike the Borealis, the player doesn't get lost, because their portal gun actually keeps track of where home is.
But however they track down the ship will probably be something crazy like detecting minor fluctuations in 6-dimensional space, so if they're near (close universally or spatially) to a place that was teleported to/from, they can detect that teleport.
It's meant to be a game that's hard to win (you don't get guided through a linear campaign), but fun and interesting to play, since you're travelling through a multiverse.
Technology has come a long way, enough that a supercomputer could populate this multiverse with tens of thousands of strange and unique aliens.

nice
When the player finally does track down the Borealis, the game still isn't over.
Does the player join the crew, explain everything to them, and help them hide from the Combine?
Does the player attempt to destroy the ship, as they were told to?
A third, even crazier option is to attempt to destroy the Combine; the Borealis would be the ultimate weapon, given that it has collected some of the most useful biological specimens in the multiuniverse, and could be easily set up to fuck up an entire planet with portal technology.
The resonance cascade was an accident, imagine what would happen if a ship deliberately caused as strong a resonance cascade as possible, and one that interacted with a planet way more dangerous than Xen.
It'd turn the entire planet into some Lovecraft nightmare.
Of course, allowing that would mean that the ending is hard to continue anything from, since depending on the type of ending the bulk of the Combine may or may not exist.
Anybody here really like video games? I like this one
>>388461632
Why did you post a movie OP? I thought you were talking about video games.
Never did make it past level 14. Kind of a boring game.
>>388461951
Was it the combat?
just finished cry of fear and looking for more silent hill inspired horror games. anything you want to recommend bros?
The Evil Within, actually just wait for the sequel - the original was technically incompetent due to replacing the light engine part way through development.
There's a first person source mod that lets you do some stuff in the hospital from SH1 called Alchemilla. Personally, I'd recommend you try out Clocktower the first fear and Rule of Rose since I adored those.
>>388461456
Depends. What are you looking for in your spooky gaming exactly?
Me, I like PS2 style survival horror most, but give almost anything spooky a shot. Have you given the Siren games a shot? What about Fatal Frame?
If you like adventures, Scratches is surprisingly great.
Just picked this up. What am I in for, /v/?
Autistic FPS.
>>388461268
Mediocrity surrounded by memes.
a game that has a bunch of cool ideas and some cool atmosphere but is way too jank to actually get into
Do you listen to reviews before you buy game?
Everyone knows reviewers are retarded, Uzume.
>>388461252
no, I pirate them as I haven't found a reviewer who likes the same games as me
I give them some consideration, at least.
Is it worth it? I love horror games
It's shit for youtubers.
>>388461161
>PC Horror games
Nah
>>388461161
Yes just for Alien Isolation alone. DreadOut and Lakeview Cabin are pretty decent. Everything else is meh.
Does this thing have ANYTHING original thats interesting? Don't get me wrong. PS$ has some great games but when you really think about it, all of its hard hitters are continuations of pre-existing series, nothing new and innovative.
>Uncharted, Persona, Souls, Yakuza, Drakengard, Fallout, Doom, Hitman, Dishonored, Gravity rush, Ratchet and clank, Tales of, Final Fantasy etc.
All great, but all pre-established. Its like the only new IP out there is Horizon Zero dawn. When is PS4 going to start getting some new blood?
Fucking stop whining and buy if it has the games you want to play.
Are you just poor or something?
nioh
inb4 The Last Guardian is a pre-existing series
