Unless you consider the 2008 turok to be the doom 3 of the series, I'm not sure how you can make a reboot without changing a lot of the charm and unique off the wall style the first 2 game has.

I think both of those terms have been used as buzzwords for selling indie games. Though, Roguelike does have a legitimate history of use.
A Rogue"like" is a game that shares characteristics with Rogue, in some way. Though some Indie devs have just tagged it on their project to mean it's procedurally generated and open ended.
I'm assuming a Rogue"lite" is a the same concept, except it's been watered down a bit, so that it doesn't have the curve of difficulty that a traditional Roguelike game would have.
