It seems like the next big thing in gaming is going back to fix mistakes through huge updates/patches to games.
Mafia 3 got an update to add clothing options and UI overhauls after complaints, DOOM got a ton of new multiplayer options in an update after the multiplayer was criticized as being tacked on, Outlast 2 had entire enemy encounters changed in an update after complaints about difficulty, and the most notable case is Final Fantasy 15, which is steadily going back and adding more content in updates for free to address criticisms of the story, adding whole new sections to the game.
Do you think this is a good way of addressing issues after a game launches? Do you feel that the knowledge that they can fix issues after the game is released encourages developers to rush games out then fix them later?

On one hand, I like the fact that they're going back and fixing things via updates and patches. But on the other hand it seems like nothing ships complete anymore. I generally want DLC and updates to add on to the complete game not to fix glaring issues that the game shouldn't have shipped with.

So since you've never actually made a challenging game nintendo and you have the potential to save Botw from being mediocre with the upcoming hard mode. I decided to help you out here and tell you how to do it right because you always respond so well to player feedback.
1. Bringing up inventory does not pause the world and limit how much the player can eat. You could add a hunger meter or some shit to cap it. Also eating takes a sec or so and can be interrupted by enemies. Right now you can eat your way through any encouter.
2. Teleporting should also be interruptable and maybe capped per day so you actually need to use horses.
X. Add some more test of strength or something for all those shrines that haven nothing but a chest in them how lazy can you get ffs.
@. Add some more damn enemies that force you to adapt to different playstyles.

Btw you can check out some videos on how to play Jebus Cross or just chill in any twitch stream watching people play. If you don't know what Jebus means then be prepared to learn that people don't really play this game how you would think they do competitively - Build all the army buildings, train and buy everything, explore whole map etc.
