Redpill me on not-Yukiko
>>378159995
Yukiko was boring and lame
her WHOLE personality was "sometimes laughs uncontrolaby"
>>378159995
Kill your squad boyo.
>>378159995
why does she have the same arm look as nu-lucifer?
What does Denuvo do and why is it bad?
>>378159909
DRM
It has access to parts of your PC it shouldn't
It effects performance
>>378159909
It prevents me, as a rational consumer, to trying out a game for free at it's launch. I have to wait for it to get cracked for an entire month.
>>378160079
You make it sound like a rootkit.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAA
Wait what?
Dont get it
>>378159706
I wonder if they pay Denuvo a monthly fee that they stop paying when the game gets cracked or if they have to pay big upfront, making into a huge loss if the game gets cracked a few days in.
>>378159829
>>378159706
It means once it is cracked the game gets a update that just removes Denuvo.
Like pretty much every game that runs Denuvo.
Why don't people understand that Denuvo is a temporary thing set in place to pointlessly protect release sales to appease paranoid investors?
Was the laugh scene REALLY that bad or did it just go over people's heads?
The whole idea was just forced laughter as a means to cheer themselves up.
The literally legitimately laugh like normal people right after it.
So yea, it went over people's heads. People see something they can make fun of and stop paying attention from then on with things nowadays
>>378159530
out of context yes it was cringey af. If you understood the scene and watched it all they way then yes it flew over peoples heads.
>>378159530
Both
Going to go back and play some of the other Persona games after finishing P5, how does this compare?
more confy but the dungeons are a HUGE step backwards from P5.
Personal, unpopular opinion
P3 > P5 > P4
So make sure you play 3 afterwards.
>>378159456
I think 4 is the better game. I couldn't lay down that game but in 5 I;m pretty bored, probably due to story pacing. Persona 4's theme of admitting to your true self is also something I can relate more to than to break the chains imposed by society (which they handled very subtle in 5). The dungeons in 4 suck though compared to 5 but the soundtrack is superior;
Post mains, stories and woes
>Play Koth with a few friends
>Know they are new to fighting games so I picked Grodd who I am trying to learn
>After winning a few rounds they start laughing
>Pick Atrcious and bane and they rage quit after a few games each
>banes vemon is OP compared to them and Atrcious attacks too fast
>Refure to play with me anymore unless I stop playing them
So if I pick up Grodd and batman would they still rage or should I just fine some new mates to play with?
I'm a Deadshot main
Plz no hate

Got beat by Supergirl in a mirror match as Powergirl like 5 times in a row, then switched to Vixen and beat them twice before they quit mid-match.
Who else Ice Cream Man here?
Amayui Castle Meister just came out.
What's stopping you from playing it?
Is it translated into English
>>378158748
Of course not.
Don't speak moon
Why would they even do this?
>>378157867
To make (you) upset.
>>378158017
Well they succeeded masterfully.

Just bought a ps4...what should i buy? I already have Bloodborn.
Also, is the ps4 slim better than the original one? Did they fix any problems?
>>378157180
>Did they fix any problems?
What problem? I have an original and pro and don't have a problem with both.
Until Dawn, Horizon, Persona 5, and Nier are all good if you enjoy their genres.
>>378157180
Persona, Uncharted, Horizon, Resogun, Infamous, and Ratchet and Clank. The rest are meh.
Hey, /v/
I'm looking to get some NES/SNES games for my son to play over the summer as he's just starting to get into gaming, and I don't want him growing up without experiencing the classics. Problem is that I didn't really get into gaming myself until N64/PSone era, so I'm kinda at a loss here. I'm looking at this as something we can do together and I'll get to go back play what I missed as well.
>tl;dr What are the must plays for NES/SNES?
Oh man if only there were some way to find a list of good games for old consoles. Some sort of search engine?
>>378156743
Use an emulator or expect to pay an arm and leg for anything decent.
Also for a child Kirby's Adventure is perfect. I played it as a child and loved it. Even as an adult I still return to it and have just as much fun. It's bright, simple, easy to play, and just fun.
>>378157040
I'm aware of that. Just looking for some different opinions so that I can put together a better overall list.
>Only jap games allowed
>people can mention western games but western game thread is instaban
>only 1 waifu thread is allowed

/v/ doesn't need to be split into any further boards, it needs actual moderation.
>>378156849
nah, we actually need another board. This one is clearly lost. The reddit/neogaf won.
The best threads are always the jap games but always infected western fags invade shitposting starts.
Why does becoming evil make your skin darker in Japanese media?
not infected by moral relativism
Because the darkness of the heart takes over your skin.
>>378155994
because it's a historically japanese trope. has nothing to do with race
Was Nier Automata helped in any way by its reluctance to abandon old JRPG mechanics?
Having cleared to ending E, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, gameplay, setting, and dialogue, but it didnt feel like a JRPG, it felt like it was a typical Platinum game pretending to be one.
The open world was pretty but backtracking was tedious, especially when the area design was already so linear, and the subquests were, with a few exceptions, totally unnecesarry and more chores to pad out the time.
Yoko Taro has, historically, told a story despite the medium rather than through it, and i feel like the superfluous JRPG mechanics were more vestigial ties to the previous games rather than a positive addition to Nier: Autamata as a game.
>>378155818
Did you playe Nier or any Drakengard game? THEY ARE NOT JRPG DUDE
To clarify, when i say JRPG elements, im referring to:
-open world map
-sidequest system
-level system
-variable enemy scaling
None of these are bad traits in themselves, but none were well intergrated into the game and in my opinion only hampered the experience
>>378156301
What do you define as a JRPG
