I never played it, but every time someone says "the story is bad but the gameplay is alright" someone jumps their shit. I'm pretty much dead set on assuming this game is a disaster and the only reason I want to play it some day is to see just how big of one it is. in some games, it can help a bit. It definitely will help in multitasking, and later on 4 physical cores will be bare minimum. i7 would last notably longer.

That being said, by the time you seriously would NEED to upgrade your CPU, the i5 will be bargain bin priced fossil, and it'll be wiser to just overhaul the whole system.
