Yes, all Yakuza games have missable shit. 2 is far easier to miss shit because a lot more than just sidequests is missable. Heat actions are missable as well and you need to get ALL of them if you want to unlock the final sidequest.

Yes they're missable , some can be done later on and one is completely missable if you maek a mistakte during chapter 4. Also you can still fail all the sidequests. They only changed that stuff in later Yakuza games.
I'd say just play through the story for now and see what you can find here and there and after that either try it again with a guide or wait for Kiwami 2

It's similar to versus, but just different enough that the differences can cause a gulf in enjoyment. I like both but once you get into the real grit of the mechanics they couldn't be more different in approach.

Surprisingly Gundam is the one with deeper individual mechanics. Even with the customization in arcade for Dissidia the tools available to a single unit in Versus is wider.

Dissidia, imo, has a better team game.
