It's more story driven. While first Bioshock was more about themed, carefully crafted levels with little narrative and lots of backstory that you're fed through audio logs and messages, Infinite is more COD-like.

Immersion effects. Metroid Prime is still one of the best-looking games ever made and feels comfy as fuck, it was so cool looking up at the sky and having little raindrops accumulate on samus's visor, or hopping out of water and seeing water stream down the visor, or fogging up when you pass through steam or condensation building up on the inside of the visor in a hot area. It was such a cool effect and it pisses me off they didn't just never bring it back, but cut it entirely for the trilogy rerelease.
