None of the original teams are around, most of their members got shitcanned after unit 13 flopped, then they got transferred to guerilla and laid off when killzone mercs&shadowfall failed. Now the few that are left in the industry are making H-Hour which is supposed to be coming to PS4 relatively soon now that they upgraded to UE4. It's really basic, but it's basically the best we're gonna get.

Real talk, why does a game that performs poorly "feel" so good to play, where as DS3 on my PC playing at a solid 60 feel so much worse?

Of course it would of felt better, but the game play is still solid, and the story, environment, settings and characters were spot on. Honestly for the people who didn't play it the firs fortnight it came out, you missed out on one of the gems in this generation. The only comparable experience I've had with a refreshing take on old style formula was BotW.

I guess the first time people played Forza it was like that for them too.

Soulcalibur stopped being good after 3 imo (some will go so far as saying 2 was the last good one). I feel that the quality of the game and story decreased as it became more anime-ish. The characters and story went from being intriguing to stagnant, just like Tekken. The only reason some people even care about SC anymore is because of muh guest characters which show just how much the core game has lost value among the community.

To add on to my post, I feel that their best bet for the franchise would be to just reboot it. SCV ruined the story and roster too much and Soul Edge / Blade would be amazing with a modern day overhaul and updates. Maybe then Namco can try to focus on where they can go with the franchise with a clean start.

I think you can hardmod 11.4 now, there is a working implementation of sighax. There might be an even easier way to do it using a flashcart coming up too.
