It's easier to optimize for consoles where everyone shares the same specs

You know we're right.
Can we bet Caramel already
What is Open Morrowind even going to accomplish besides nothing?
Why are these people spending yeasts rewriting a game only to never finish and benefit no one?
spending yeasts rewriting a game, when they could have used them to make bread
>Why do people do things?
Gee, I dunno.
Maybe it's better we all just stop breathing and die.

>“Obsidian did a great job of capitalising on the timing of Kickstarter and the wave of nostalgia for these type of titles,” goes his hypothesis. “We've seen that most of the titles after Pillars of Eternity, if you look at Wasteland, Torment - they haven't been anywhere near that kind of success. So maybe it's that a lot of nostalgia fed into the initial bubble and that's why. These games have a market, but it's never gonna be that peak [again].”
Wow it's like Obsidiots don't want to admit that Obsidian creates generally unlikable and unsellable games
>B-BUT POE SOLD!
Only because of Baldur's Gate nostalgia

ITT: the worst control schemes youve had to deal with
>>379436949
Why would anyone ever put their self through this?
I know a guy who emulates melee on alaptop
He doesn't even have a mouse
It's full keyboard controls
You could play with the regular buttons but it was worse.

But you can have half an X press on the PS2
How many times do you need to press A throughout the entire game?
X amount of times.
The confusion arises when you attempt to split up each stage as "# of A presses in this stage" which is irrelevant.
Does anyone else find themselves watching video games more than they play them now? So many good games come out at once. It's near impossible to buy and play them all.
Yes. Me and my wife's boyfriend love to watch Letsplay of Overwatch and Undertail.
Our favorites are Jontron and Bestfriends.
Yeah, I've been turned into a gaming cuckhold
>>379436321
I shitpost about them instead.
Which final fantasy had the best, most interesting and generally strongest opening segment, including opening cutscenes. I'll list what I consider the end of the opening segment for the games I've played, but I'm open to suggestions because I know it's arguable for many of them what's 'opening' and what 'first level' territory.
>FF6
After the escargot boss
>FF7
End of the bombing mission when you meet back at the bar
>FF8
End of fire cavern, right as you get back to garden.
>FF9
When you escape Alexandria and crash into forbidden forest
>FF10
When you wake up in besaid
>FF12
When the pov changes to Vaan
>FF13
Chapter 1
>FF13-2
When you first travel through time
>FF15
End of chapter 1 when you go to Galden Quay
I can't say for the others because I either haven't played them or played them too long ago to remember.
Final Fantasy II

VII isn't my favorite but nothing tops the bombing mission and the Midgar section as a whole.

Opening FMV was short and okay I guess, set the scene well enough. Straight into the action so exciting, and we get to know a bit about characters motivations and personalities (including side characters who do matter in some way). Throwing you right into battle forces you to get used to the battle system, no tutorials or anything. Overall pretty strong.
>FF8
Action oriented opening FMV, followed with by far the comfiest opening walk (music, showing off Balamb garden). We get to know a little about a couple of the key cast, but there's not really that much characterisation. Tutorial heavy, and fire cavern feels a bit generic.
Should I buy a used PS4 off craigslist?
I'm not scared for my safety or anything just the condition of the console

Looks furry and shitty.
JSR/F could play even more shit than it does right now and I'd still play. It has an exquisite art and sound direction beyond 99% of games. The lesson is, gameplay is not the only thing that makes a game.

PSA: DO NOT BUY THIS. I repeat, do not buy it. I sold mine today at a loss but still worth it because now I'm getting an actual console with actual games (ps4). So don't do it unless you don't give a flying shit about your Money.
Thanks for the amazing reason as to why. I loved your argument. And i felt that you made an excellent point to justify your case.
Nigga you think I ain't buying this for Animal Crossing.
