I remember playing video games and enjoying everything about them. All the cool RPGs ,Shooters, Puzzles and Action Games filled with all sort of stuff like fantasy, creativity, and imagination. The possibilities of what a game could be were endless. There were no restrictions, no limitations, and everyone was seeking innovation.
So tell me... why is that the world I love so much has gone to shit? We- I live in a literally post apocalyptic gaming world where every single thing I love about gaming has been removed from existence. There's nothing but control in the from of political correctness, polygons are now given Rights as if they are real human beings. Women have taken over the entire industry to the point that they alone scare developers from scaring their original art direction to the world. Companies are now run by beings who have no idea what gaming is and how/why it works. Xbox, a gaming console, held a fucking console reveal and complete forgot that the Xbox is a fucking gaming console - SPORTS SPORT TV TV SPORTS DOG!
And when/where did this all start? Seventh Generation.
Why is it that I don't even remember anyone fighting back against this takeover? Why is it that people seem to believe such a thing never happened? Why am I the only person in this world with their eyes open!?!?!? There are people who believe that I'm the one insane and nothing happened, and that gaming has been this way for years.
Video games have taken a huge step backwards. No one innovate, they just focus on making things look pretty and for some reason you're all satisfied with that - Amazing Graphics! Amazing Hollywood Story! And zero gameplay. There are so many older games that are more advanced than today's games it's fucking pathetic.
My only question: Why. Why didn't you fight back? I've been voting with my wallet since the change begin while you're all just accepting it.
I wish this was a dream rather than a reality...

Ok, I found out the most fucked up thing the other day. I'm working at this game studio, and the game project we're working on is a moba. Sounds good, right? Well, hold that excitement, because this game is JACKED UP.
>plays nothing like LoL or Dota 2
>no lane phase, just constant fights and "jungling"
>no teams, instead the game modes are deathmatch shit like a fucking brawler, save for the one team deathmatch mode I suppose
>no straight up supports, characters are all different kinds of damage dealers
>has a fucking jump button and mechanics like jumping OVER terrain, jumping to higher or lower terrain, wall jumps, and fucking going up/down stairs and elevators and shit while fighting
>game is futuristic themed instead of a proper forest like other mobas
>no last hitting
Seriously, the fuck are they thinking? They're taking out all the shit that makes games like League and Dota great, and making it some fucking top down mindless action brawler, why? People aren't gonna want to play this shit, why would they when LoL exists?
Is there any way I can sabotage this project, this studio needs to learn a lesson for trying to create some dumb shit like this.

I'm curious about other views on this - regarding an issue I ran into while playing the Witcher 3.
All the usual shitposting threads aside (>combat etc etc) the game is superb, combat/story is great and weaves well with bombs/potions/signs.
But whenever I see screenshots/hear comments of how beautifully designed the cities/world is. I can't help but remember Novigrad/Beuclair/Skellige as blur.
Though I realized this towards the end of the game - I had to actually -force- myself to stop and look at the scenery, and the reason for this I think is the goddamn MINIMAP.
Every quest and every objective forces the player to focus their gaze onto the top right center of the screen. Tracking their singular marker to get to where they need to go.
