Code Geass game when?
Lelouch is that kid you would play with who would always keeping making up rules as to why he should win.
never . COde gayass is the worst anime i've ever seen

More like so he would change the rules so you'd always have a good time in the end where everyone wins except him
>we will never get a next gen Sacrifice game
I remember this game being featured on some french gaming tv show way back in the day when youtube didn't exist and it looked freaking awesome.
They just sat surrounded by computer equipment like huge freaking nerds talking about PC games, they weren't even trying there was a fat guy and a skinny one with glasses. They were ahead of their time.
There are too many MOBAs as it is.
Are games today too cinematic? Do they try too hard to be like movies?
Only some games.

It was actually far worse around 5-6 years ago. Souls and its clones gaining popularity helped push in the other direction a bit.

No texture compression? no problem, just use a bunch of 16 color textures overlayed with transparency.
No AA? no problem, just render the picture several times and use transparency to combine em.
Bad draw distance? no problem, use the transparency of the system to make an impressive fog effect and they will not care about it.
No trilinear, deinterlacing, bump mapping, geometry, multipass texturing, color/gamma adjusting? TRANSPARENCY
Transparency solves EVERYTHING.
And with twice the memory bandwith our next console, you better be using it.
What are some of the greatest single player experiences that gaming has to offer? I've done nothing but work and go to school and haven't caught up in years. Please help me out.

Why is Source (2) far less used than other available engines? Is it difficult? Poorly coded? Not very capable? Why does Valve use it, if that's the case (rather than making a better one or using a third party solution)?
>>380678584
Because Valve doesn't make games anymore. Once Gabe Newell found out he could sit on his fat lazy ass and collect infinite money from Steam, Valve hasn't made games. Steam, CSGO, Dota 2 and TF2 are the reasons why Source 2 isn't released yet, and probably never will at this rate. They print far too much money for zero effort for Valve to ever attempt a serious project again. They can just squander time and piss away money on stupid pet projects that end up being failures with no repercussions.
No one uses SteamOS.
There are dozens of devices that do what the Steam Link does for the same price or cheaper.
Anyone who already has an Xbox or PS controller isn't going to have much incentive to buy the Steam controller. Plus the cheapest good controller is like $20 on Amazon (Logitech F310). Why pay more?
The type of person who would buy a Steam Machine, is guaranteed to have a quality PC they use already. Why buy a "lite" PC that can only run steam when you can spend the same money on a PC that does everything?
I'll admit the most interesting thing they've done because of their lax attitude is push VR tech forward. But VR is still hella niche and won't be affordable or enjoyable for your average consumer for a long time.
Source 2 may be coming. Or it may not. Really depends on if Valve gets off their asses and gives a damn about games for once. With almost all of the writers now gone from Valve, as well as one of the level designers from Half-Life (John Guthrie) now gone.... maybe this will light a fire under the asses of who's left. Or not. Time will tell.

How much does local multiplayer matter for games in 2017?
>>380678391
Not at all really.
My nephew and his friends rarely even go to each other's houses, and the only time I see him with his friends is when I'm picking him up with school or taking him to hockey.
I introduced them to Godzilla: Save the Earth about a year ago and they thought it was weird that two people played on the same T.V.
Certain Indie dev's are finding huge success in and its their game's entire life force. I have a stack of a dozen indie games in my steam library that are a hit every time friends come over.
>games that weren't good or popular but you still would like to see a sequel for them
