What the absolute fuck did I just play?
I played this after Drakengard, Drakengard 3, NieR, and NieR Automata
and I have to say, as fucking generic as the story and setting was, it's strangely charming.
The gameplay is more fun and the game has fucking god-tier moments as well as god-tier characters, but it's just so.. normal, in every other way.
Like, what the fuck is this game?
I think this is probably the weirdest thing Yoko Taro has ever made
>>381404878
You found a single thing about it likeable? What the fuck is wrong with you? It was inferior to all the other games on at least one and usually multiple counts. The only game it had better combat than, DoD1, had better aerial battles/music/story. The new ground battle dragon finishers in DoD2 were absolutely fucking pathetic compared to DOD1's, it's just a generic claw or bite attack depending on charge level, meanwhile in 1 each dragon form had it's own unique animation, and in the chaos form Angelus breathes molten lava as purple lightning rains from the sky and the fucking ground apart and forms volcanoes and shit, your final attack is fucking armageddon compared to fucking biting a nigger, what the fuck.

I liked everything that had to do with Caim and Angelus, I liked Manah trying to pay for her sins only to completely go insane again and you had to go into her mind to get her out of it, I liked the cheesy as fuck "half breed" bullshit with the protagonist even if he is an annoying cunt, I kinda found the fact that the protagonist is an annoying cunt somewhat charming, I liked Legna as a character, I liked Urick, I liked Hanch, and I liked Yaha. I also liked the weird feeling of how bright and cheery everything is in this drakengard universe, it's a game that, after playing the rest of yoko taro's games, made me feel strange for how "normal" it was.
I would like a remake of Drakengard 2 that fleshes out the plot a bit more, restores the dragon flying gameplay, and has more drakengardian elements while retaining the weird lighthearted elements.

I liked my 2000 hit combo being rewarded.

Video games today often have better stories than most movies these days. Today you can go on Youtube and watch a story driven game in its entirety without paying a cent. Some developers might not care a whole lot about this but the studios that controller them are probably livid over lost profits, right?
>>381404631
I can tell you right now, I'm not watch just gameplay of a game in entirety. I want to experience that game, when it comes to let's players, I watch some of them who I know have great reactions and comedic effect, and usually only watch them play a game I already played too, the only time I don't watch a game I haven't played is if I don't have interest or won't have time to play that game so I pass my time at work watching other people play it.

Cool story bro.
So whos ready for another shit sale third time in a row?
A whole 30 percent off on a game that had a bigger discount previously on a weekend deal?
Wow!
Or how about the fact there will be no interaction the whole two weeks beyond the first five minutes because of no flash sales?
>>381404567
no flash sales is a good thing
but it's a shame they dropped the cool event stuff too
>>381404681
>no flash sales is a good thing
How is that a good thing in any way?
It was the ONLY way you were going to have real significant discounts
>>381404782
>How is that a good thing in any way?
having to check the store every six minutes is a pain in the ass
> "psst... hey kid, I am gonna let you in on a little secret.
> you want to make a shit load of money... you play the Long-con. Here's how you come up on mad do$h
> 1st: you catch 'em while they are young. 11-14. Give 'em a game. "define their childhood".
> Step 2: disappear for a while. Live your life. They start to miss you.
> Come back a few decades later. Your fan-base are all grown ups now, but now they are the one's making the money.
> Promise them the world. Make them believe that you can bring back those halcyon days of when playing vidya was fun and they didn't have alimony, child-support or a mortgage to pay.
> They'd give you their ATM PIN to recapture that shit.
> But the big score is this...
> Are you ready?
> You never give them what they want.
> Ever.
> You keep them dangling from your string until you bleed them dry.
> That's the REAL sequel to Psychonauts.
> It's a game they have been playing all along but never realized it.
> Dumbfucks."

I've been wanting to get into the Hack n' slash/CUHRAYZEEgenre, but I have no idea what I'm doing. What are the best ones to start with?
>>381404003
Vanilla Ninja Gaiden 3 and Devil's Third.
MGR is fucking great.
Assuming you haven't played it already MGR is kinda EZ but it's very enjoyable and I highly recommend picking it up. It's a bit on the short side but I have a lot of hours replaying it and playing on higher difficulties.
Who was in the right here?
Illidan as always
At that point the Legion were gonna keep attacking Azeroth, there's no reason not to make a new Well so they'd have something to fight them with
Xavius
All other answers are wrong.
>>381404119
Even Khadgar questioned Illidans methods in the last patch when hemade a fucking sky wide portal to Argus. Illidan's gonna be right as always.
quiplash when?

I'm curious, is it the same person always making these threads?
