Mage, one of the early damage spells is spammable and makes encounters easy.

I really enjoyed it. It's a lot like GTA 5 with extra parkour and hacking "abilities". I didn't even mind the LE EPIC HIPSTER characters

I enjoyed it. Fun tools to play around with, and the online elements are neat. For some reason smart car is best car.

I was in the same boat as you and I've tried both versions. The Trilogy's controls are so much better. I haven't tried emulating.

It emulates, and there's even a hack for the trilogy version and 3 to make it mouse-aiming compatible. I prefer the trilogy version myself, but there are admittedly some changes to 1 and 2, mostly some text changes and oddly some of the visual effects for the beams. Honestly, they're great games no matter how you play them. I'm pretty sure finding physical copies of the games or the trilogy on Wii is nearly impossible these days, though I believe the trilogy is on the WiiU e-shop.

The worst thing about the GC prime games was the controls.

The wiimote nunchuck controls are super good.

Acquire brouzoufs.

First run go with a normal soldier-like character, if you wanna make the game easier go pistol+sniper and forget everything else. Prepare to suffer through some dialogues if you don't have the translation patch and play through the game 3 times to get to the true ending
