>closed source, proprietary software
>injects DRM into all your games
>tracks your internet history to make sure you don't hack
>wordfilters links they don't like in their chats
>Valve takes a huge cut on all games that benefit them more than the developers
>games are all digital that you can't back up, so byebye games if something happens to your account
>the community is garbage and greenlight was one of the worst things to happen to Steam, enjoy your influx of indie shovelware
>monitors every second you play, saves all your game files to the cloud
>GabeN would rather nickle and dime you off Team Fortress 2 hats than put effort into making any new or good products
>lack of actual quality games, and lack of Japanese games since Japan isn't really into the PC gaming scene, most Japanese ports are trash as well
If I had told you ten years ago that you would support facebook software that enforces a lock-in, is adware, spyware, and gets you to buy terrible games you never really play then you would say I'm nuts, I'm crazy, there's no way you would do that. Yet that is what you are doing now.

It's pretty vicious, yeah. The demography is immature enough to eat it up though.

>closed source, proprietary software
Not inherently a problem
>>/g/
>injects DRM into all your games
Which is the sole purpose of the software
>tracks your internet history to make sure you don't hack
Blatantly false
>wordfilters links they don't like in their chats
They filter certain TLDs, and specific domains known for scamming
>games are all digital that you can't back up, so byebye games if something happens to your account
That's how DRM works, the purpose of Steam.
>the community is garbage and greenlight was one of the worst things to happen to Steam, enjoy your influx of indie shovelware
Greenlight is gone
>monitors every second you play, saves all your game files to the cloud
This is a feature of SteamWorks that developers choose to include. Blame the devs who use it
>lack of actual quality games, and lack of Japanese games since Japan isn't really into the PC gaming scene, most Japanese ports are trash as well
How is this a fault of Steam/VALVe
Is Todd's game worth 20 bucks?
No.
no, get it and far harbor for cheaper elsewhere. skip the rest of dlc its fucking trash.
Not without the dlc
NAME 1 THING Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft have over each other
Nintendo has the best exclusives.
Microsoft has the best hardware
Sony has the best controllers/UI for their consoles.
>>381652813
That's pretty valid
nintendo has the most integrity
Why does /v/ hate Uncharted?
I just started the Nathan Drake Collection and they are fun games, nice action and good platforming.
One, /v/ isn't one person.
Two, I like Uncharted as well. It's one of my favorite current gen franchises.
Cinematic elements despite them not being a detriment to the game.
>>381652148
Because /v/ doesn't play vidya. We complain about E3 and post hentai pics.

Yes, it was a fun ride. Now I'll do my best to stay away from masturbating three times a day to videogames with deathgrip because my dick got sore and limp. Godspeed anon

It's good but will be better when they release the new biome.
It's pretty bare bones atm.

>Multiplayer games 10-15 years ago.
>Generally have a medium skill floor and a very high skill ceiling.
>People play for fun and git gud while doing so.
>Friendly and witty banter throughout the games, but everybody is mostly on good terms.
>Communities around them share strategies and discuss mechanics.
>Multiplayer games now.
>Skill floor basically non-existant, dumbed down to a point where everybody can pick up the game and play. Skill ceiling low enough so nobody can git gud enough to offend other players who put in less effort.
>People play to get to a high rank and take it incredible serious. Extreme freakouts are very common.
>People constantly tell each other to kill themselves or wishing each other cancer.
>Communities are doing nothing but crying about game balance.
What happened?
The world changed

It's an easy mistake to make, since it's not very obvious and no other games in the franchise have it, but Super Metroid actually has a run button. Check the main menu settings, there's a button config.
I personally change the button layout every playthrough because the only flaw of Super Metroid is the default controls are full retard.
>>381651256
What the hell? Seriously? I feel like a retard now.
Thanks anon
>>381651313
I actually did this without knowing there was a run button
It took me 30 minutes and I don't remember how I did it.
Holy shit.
What went wrong?
Nothing? Game was great and had a good run.
>>381651134
Aren't they doing a legacy server thing soon? I never played RO but my friends who did are trying to get me to join in on this.
