What the fuck is this shit? I recently bought and played through Turok 1 because I loved it as a kid. Game was just as damn good as I remembered. I heard that Turok 2 was everything Turok 1 was but better so I picked it up during the sale.

What a crock of shit. This game is way worse. Turok is now some pussy looking shitter, the gunplay is worse, your jump is absolute ass and climbing up waist-high shit is completely arbitrary. The dinosaur designs have gone from "Raptor with a laser gun" to "bipedal green man with a laser gun". The sounds overall are complete ass in comparison. Picking up ammo or 100-life tokens feels like nothing whereas it felt and sounded amazing in 1.

Oh and there's also this dumb bitch explaining everything. Why is she here?

I'm still in the first level but so far I'm completely underwhelmed. Do later levels at least have the great level design of Turok 1 worlds?

Let's ignore all the /pol/ shit that doesn't belong on /v/ for awhile and discuss what WE want from the next GTA. Let's try and keep it civil. Disagreements are fine and to be expected. Here's a personal wishlist:

>Better crash physics
>Realistic driving (not as harsh as IV, but not as arcadey as V's)
>Single protagonist (or double, as long as both are fleshed out)
>If a female protagonist happens, hoping for Bonnie & Clyde-style gameplay
>'70s New York setting (probably going to get modern VC which seems kind of vapid, but that's just me)
>Period setting, even if not specifically '70s LC
>Useable gas stations
>"Immersive" shit like sitting down, enforced traffic laws, etc.
>VR
>Upgradeable stats that are actually useful
>Gyms, food stands, restaurants
>Interesting and diverse, in-depth social aspects
>Small-scale story that (very, very gradually) lead up to your character(s) running the city
>Mafia missions
>Tony Montana-style character who meshes well with the gameplay
>Races
>Car stealing side missions
>Garages
>Bowling, pool, and other minigames
>Slower-paced story
>Either much more or much less linear storyline
>Multiple endings
>Multiple different ways to branch out the story
>In-depth heists
>Optional heist missions
>If dual protagonists, online play with a friend in story mode
>Fleshed out SP with story + characters as main focus
>Less loading screens
>Honor system
>RPG mechanics
>Return of classic characters (face it, fanservice is not below GTA, come on)
>Discarding/soft rebooting of HD/3D universes being "separate"
