Are these 2 HD remakes worth picking up?
I know Silent Hill got butchered but I read they did some patches that fixed a lot of the bugs and its now pretty decent. I dont have a PS2 to play the original anymore.
I also read DMC got some stuff censored and removed but is over all pretty good. But not sure.
Any other HD collections/remakes worth picking up or avoiding on the PS3?

The shitty English translation actually made this game better.
It made some things seem random or silly, sometimes even poorly written sure, but in the end, it added to the mystery and intrigue of the story, ultimately making the game more alluring.

I got about 6 hours into this before dropping it and watched the cutscenes last night... Holy shit, is this THE WORST horror writing in a game ever?
Evil Within 2 doesn't even have a writer named, but if it's Itaru Yokoyama again the game will be terrible (his only other writing credits are Evil Within).

Is it normal for Aurora to take 2 minutes per turn (or more)? I have a decent processor, orbital asteroids turned off, I'm early-to-mid game (have a few manned colonies, one in another system, and a small fleet of missile boats and beam ships), and have only met one race of ayy lmaos.
I know this game is notorious for poor performance, but it feels like I haven't even gotten started. Are people actually able to reasonably play large, late games with lots of battles going on?

The simulation of sub-pulses affect your performance. I see yours is set to auto, which normally should be fine for performance.
I would have to turn down sub-pulses otherwise my long-range missiles would miss in the simulation.
