I remember seeing this after the MN9 kickstarter, and I believed that Inafune was the creator of MM and I only questioned it later. I'm gonna re-watch this later with a much more critical eye. This episode is ground zero for "Inafune is the creator of mega man"myth. Let's go through it shall we?

So far it's heavily implied he's the creator of the series but it's never been stated. However, the narrator seems to firmly believe that the series is only Inafune's work, so this idea may predate this.

Now he's outright saying it. I wonder if he's just saying "drew that character" and it's poor translation. But the fact that Inafune NEVER mentions anyone else makes me not want to be charitable with him.

5 seconds later:

How the hell could Inafune design the characters when he joined the game late into production after all the characters had been made? He didn't design or name them. Note "designed a lot of the artwork". That seems like a strange word right? Makes me think they're mistranslating "Drawing".

What the hell was the point of remaking 20 years old PS1 platformers? It's weird as hell to play game with linear levels with invincible walls in the year 2017, i would understand if this was some indie game but major release, it's literally PS1(!) game with new graphics. Even Nintendo at least remakes their old games for handheld console where it feels more natural to put but homeconsole?

I get chills, not because of the bold and stark depiction of the apocalyptic wasteland in the background or the confident composure of the raider, implying that he has committed a cocoon of savage acts in order to adapt to his environment.

But the imagery of the raider himself.

The fact that he's wearing a Brotherhood of Steel Helmet, signifies that the Brotherhood of Steel, one of the most powerful factions of the wasteland, have been torn asunder by their own Achilles heel. Believing that they can save humanity by harvesting old world technology and yet, they keep it within the confines of their isolated society. This type of thinking led to them withering out and ultimately, their demise.

Seeing a savage tribal wearing the helmet of one of humanities last bastions for technological salvation... Its unnerving

I'm glad they brought this moral dilemma back in New Vegas.
