"Muh Miyazaki"
"Muh Git Gud"
"Muh Optional Final Boss"
Shut the fuck up Kimmundy, your beloved Miyazaki is a talentless hack and a literal roided up NPC invader is a better boss than this inbred child of Kalameet, Ancient Dragon, Sinh, and Godzilla Copyright Infringement.
Adding a zero onto the health counter is not good game design.
Giving attacks lingering hitboxes without rhyme or reason is not good game design.
Making a universally weak to lightning boss not actually weak to lightning is just lore inconsistency.
Locking away a covenant and one of the few actually interesting weapons behind what equates to a raid boss that will fuck you for actually bringing a raid party is not. Good Game design.
>>382732891
I beat Orphan of Kos, Ludwig, Laurence, and Gael on my first try, because they are all actually well-designed bosses.
Your argument could not be less valid, if it was an argument in the first place.

Oh man, this makes me wanna bust out my PS3 and replay DS2

Which console(s) should I start saving my hard earned cash for, /v/?
What consoles have the most games that rank in 90th percentile in Metacritic and Gamerankings?
>>382732049
PS4, because the other systems don't have any fucking games, and I have all three.
>>382732223
PS4 then? Anybody want to object or second that?
I'm starting a fire red moemon randomizer and I want you guys to play along. Its your job to name things. I'll take the first three name suggestions posted and put them on a wheel to decide. Anything goes as long as it fits into the name slot. First up is the names of the main character and his rival
Dicks
Poopoo
>>382731048
Faggot
What are game concepts you want to see, but have never been made?
I want a game where you can ride motorcycles throughout long highways in middle America. Just you, your bike, riding through the night in the wide open fields of America, listening to Freebird. You could stop at diners and gas stations and stuff, and maybe ride with a bike gang. I just don't think there have been many games with that really wide open feeling
>>382730937
why not just get a real bike and go somewhere for a ride then lol no video game is ever going to capture the feeling of actually being there.
>>382730937
Pretty sure you can do that in GTAV
>>382731396
Or better yet, The Crew
What do you exactly gain from consuming them?
Do they provide knowledge or something else than any other medium can't?
Can you produce something out of them?
Why do video games exist?
>>382729303
because they're fun sweetie!
This is a weird Lydia cosplay, and not sure if it's in a good way.
>>382729303
They exists to ruin my life
This is going to be better than Mania
>>382728979
No, but it'll probably be decent regardless.
>(You)s inbound
>This is going to sell a lot better than Mania
You're right, OP.
Hey, /v/. Do you go "Ouch!" or blurt out any other noises of agony when you get hit in games?
Feel free to shitpost.
>>382728870
I make weird noises.
i say "Ouch!" on voice chat every time i get hit in an online game
>>382728942
Elaborate.
You're at a bar with your girlfriend and suddenly THIS GUY comes over and slaps your girlfriend's ass. What do you do?
Let 3 guys beat the shit out of him.
fucking wreck him, deviljho is easy
>Tfw finishing off a monster with the last hit of a fully charged Charge Blade
Post open-world done right
I don't get it.
The game sound like it would up my alley, but I can't get into it.
>>382728682CoP was shit
>>382728682
Did you try Shadow of Chernobyl, or is CoP your first stalker?
If not, SoC is the better starting off point. It is a much more linear game that will better explain the world, story, mechanics, and all the different factions within it.
CoP is deliberately a giant open world that people who are already fans of the series can just dive in and do anything they want in. It will seem aimless and confusing if you go in blind.
>games require hours of training mode dedication
>pretty much have to buy a premium fightstick if i want to get good
Why do fighting games have such high hurdles?
>pretty much have to buy a premium fightstick if i want to get good
stop
you just suck
people have won tourneys with normal controllers, not even fightpad controllers
a fightstick is not going to magically make you git gud
you just suck
>>382728073
The actual hurdle for fighting games is being born before 1990, which you obviously haven't cleared.
>>382728194
Literally the only game that controller players do well in is SF5 because the game doesn't have retardedly complex inputs. If you want to play 3s Yun or acpr Baiken, you have to buy a stick.
Anybody else been taking advantage of the deals?
I've been buying and reselling games.
Made a profit of $365 today.
>>382727206
>he didn't take it for all its worth
I spent $101 and made a lot
bought switch games and paid off stuff for the fall
its dying though, game prices started dropping around 5PM est for me
>>382727974
>he didn't take it for all its worth
>I spent $101 and made a lot
I spent nothing. Just traded in a bunch of games I was done with or had on pc already.
I would've done more but I heard about the deal too late.
>>382727206
Explain
So byuu (bsnes author) is doing a "preservation project" where he dumps every ROM of SNES games that he buys or borrows, asks for donations, etc.
But I don't understand how he's preserving anything if he's only one with a copy of the dumped rooms. Some of the games were dumped incorrectly originally and he claims to be doing it properly but what's the point if that never gets back to the community?
why do girls pretend to like nier automata
>>382726231
because it's le deep weeb game by le quirky moon mask man
real reason: it gives them an excuse to fish for compliments about their butts.
"Haha hey Anon! Wanna support me on patreon and give me 80 dollars a month for basically nothing except some lewd shitty selfies and pictures of my shitty cosplays?"
/v/ approved walking simulators
>>382725256
>>382725256
I'm /v/ and I don't approve of Pathologic. Deadly Premonition is good, though.
>>382725763
how long is this? is it spooky?
also >>382726350 is not really a walking simulator but is pretty cool if you back up your saves since it crashes every 30 minutes unless you have Windows 7 or earlier.
WHY WON'T THEY KILL IT YET AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Largest install base of any currently active console.
>>382724338
>WHY WONT THEY KILL THEIR MOST SUCCESSFUL HANDHELD TO DATE
Are you stupid OP?
>>382724338
>remakes and shovelware
They are killing it, slowly but surely.
