You could argue that some N64 multiplats were better on PS1, okay. I'll dignify that. But was there a single multiplat that wasn't best on the Gamecube? This thing was THE MACHINE.
Why this console didn't get Morrowind or Doom 3 and the like, ala N64 getting Starcraft, HeXen, and Doom is beyond me.
>>389457907
I thought it was the exact opposite, multiplats felt great for Sony again on the PS2, while the Gamecube controller ONLY felt good to use for Gamecube exclusives.
The Gamecube lost for a reason.

>But was there a single multiplat that wasn't best on the Gamecube?
Yes the ones there were on xbox as well

Why do game companies kill off their niche games before they're even released?
it works for nintendo

ninteniggers would kill their mothers if reggie told them too. A literally who kr moba doesn't have that ability.

If that's all you care about then why play the game? Just get pictures of the characters and fap to them and be done.

Discuss.
Aside from DH2 being terribly unoptimized I really enjoyed it. I played through it a bunch of times and I always surprised myself with how I could find new routes. That being said this plot seems... kinda dumb. Maybe they'll do something amazing with it. But "we gotta kill the Outsider" sounds like a B movie plot or something, I dunno. Especially with these characters in particular - why? It might make sense if they were doing a game where you were playing the character of an Overseer who gets missions from the Oracular Order and end up hunting down the Outsider, using your music box to shut down his magicks and shit.
Why not explore the other two islands in the empire? Go to Pandyssia? Use new characters entirely instead of recycling the old? Seems like there were a lot of other plots that would be more interesting, and I can't imagine the series will continue after this. Where do you go from "kill the outsider"? Unless it's an "always must be a lich king/davy jones/whatever" situation

Send off of the series, Arkane are probably done with it. Gameplay wise 2 wasn't a huge jump and this DLC's powers aren't drastically different.

When you create a character in video game, do you self-insert or do you consider it a character on its own?
>>389537615
>self inserting
>>389537615
I don't think I've ever self-inserted. I always imagine it's a character from a movie or book in my head or something.
>>389537615
I always self-insert my facial features unto a character just because it'll be easier to relate if I was the main character.

He didn't come back to beat bison, he came back to win evo.
Just like Capcom

sacrificed his life to weaken bison enough for ryu to kill him. He's an american hero. What have you done with your life?
Friendly reminder that gameplay should outweight presentation for every non-casual player.
>>389537362
Shut the fuck up.
Now when we combine gameplay AND presentation instead of choosing one or the other:

sometimes you either make a compromise or be left without sequels for decades
Hey /v/, I wanna buy this game, but I'm also kind of a poorfag. Do you think it will get a goty version with all the dlcs in the end? It might cost a little more than the basic game, but it will be less expensive than buying the basic game and then the dlcs as they are released. I also don't know how many dlcs are going to be released nor if they're making a goty version. I literally just bought a ps4, preowned too.
Also horizon general thread I guess, is the game good? Anything I should know before buying it?
>>389456426
It's alright. Has some unique qualities
>>389456510
Is the gameplay good? Fun?
Would it run well on a regular ps4? I'm playing bloodborne and sometimes, rarely, I notice the fps going down a bit, which doesn't happen on pc games if you set them accordingly.
>>389456697
Runs well on a normal PS4
The Gameplay is okay. Do you like bow combat? If you do it'll be more than okay for you but it might get repititive quite fast.
What am I in for?
Statutory rape, and you're going to be in there for a long time, sicko.

WHY DO SO MANY GAMES HAVE TO HAVE QUIPS NOW?? NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE A MARVEL MOVIE REEEEEEEEEEE
>>389537349
youre about a year too late with this meme. 0/10 get some new material.
>>389537590
no seriously though, why does every AAA title have to have quips in it?
Why are the ghost and that one AI such annoying pieces of shit? Its like bordermemes.
How come this game never got a good sequel?
It shouldn't be so hard
They always fuck up the artstyle, sequels are nowhere near as atmospheric as the original
