cutscenes are still 2 fps and I get dips down to 8 in some places, but it's still very impressive. I'm running the emulator and game on a laptop and getting 25-30 fps most scenes.

It's pretty creepy and I enjoyed the psychological aspect of trying to cater to the player's fears.
But I can already tell there's an illusion of choice and I hate that.
Also Mike and Jessica bantering on and on about fucking once they reached the cabin got tiresome.

Fighters and RTS.
I never understood how people had so much trouble with shmups, there's not really much to them. It's really intuitive, just shoot everything and dodge the bullets. It's really clear and direct, just hard.
With most beginner-unfriendly genres a lot of the barrier comes from having to learn tons of rote, counter-intuitive mechanics

Why is this pile of trash even in the same series as its two former master pieces?
The only redeeming feature is some of the music, which is still leagues behind DKC2, and the pixel art, which is admittedly, probably the best in the series.
