So, I've read that if you target specific parts of indigens, it has different outcomes (stagger, topple, more/better items will drop, weakens mob, etc etc). In-game, if I'm approaching a mob and targetting, how will I know what lock-on part yields a result - and what that result will be? How do I tell this in-game, in-battle, without going to like a monster FAQ and studying every single monster and their individual parts?
Also, XBCX general.

Dunno. I went the whole game without even using any of those parts. I dont think i even sold any. Just used em if i needed em for a quest.
felt ripped off from this game. why did they name it xenoblade chronicles when its clearly something completely different? i stopped playing after two hours.
>>384180296
It's not really all that unique for parts. Generally breaking a part will always get you more loot, might prevent them from using attacks that use the body part, and almost guaranteed to trigger a soul voice.
Just always target a body part and break as many as you can, don't need to think too much about it. Unless you go for the class with Core Crusher, in which case you'll never damage body-parts but do insane damage.
The guy who made Doom passed away today and there isn't a fucking thread? Is this even a video game board?
>>384180260
It's kind of e-celeb tier. If I had to sacrificce threads commemorating legendary game devs to get rid of threads being thirsty for streamers, I'd gladly do it.
F tho. thanks for god how many hours of fun, hope hell is just as awesome as you made it
I can't believe Robin Williams died today.

On that note, whatever happened to Romero's new game? Last we heard of it was a year ago
What's your favorite machinima?
>>384180221
Halo 2 era RvB was pretty great.
They should have let it die a long time ago.
This was my stuff back in the day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bsjd7fVJQy0
Rewatched it a couple of years back and got upset because I didn't find any of it funny anymore.
Freemans mind was 10/10 too, never actually got to finish it though.
I used to really like War of the Servers. I think it holds up better than a lot of older machinimas. Shout out to Freeman's Mind btw

Why is Automata so fucking ANIME compared to the grittiness of Nier?
>>384179584
Probably because you're so fat
>>384179584
Because Nier was a normal (buff as fuck super) human with a magic book helping him out a bit, while the Androids have super advanced technology enhancing everything they do, but they're only machines with a loose understanding of actual human behavior since there aren't any humans around.
There's no Black Scrawl or maddened Replicants all over the place, just Androids and Machines gradually coming to terms with the reality of the world and reaching the end result of peace as the mad ones dwindle.

Because you played the Xbox version.

Recommend me some video game literature. Can be fiction or non fiction.
Empires of Eve is a pretty good one.

My girlfriend read that to me and it was awful. It's just some autistic sperg jerking SMB3 off.
This book is at least informative, if a bit dry.

so I was watching some guys stream last night saying he hasn't been paid by twitch yet. and supposedly they've done this in the past to him within the last year. according to him twitch makes X amount of money then they put in X amount minus a few 500k then they just wait to pay off those streamers because supposedly they have period like 40 days or something to actually pay streamers.
discuss, how the fuck does twitch even stay open? wouldnt everyone just sue them? how does a company not pay its workers? why would you even sign a contract that gives over half your money away to the service then allows them to not pay you right away each month,
>>384179190
If it was intentional is pretty amazing, if it was not then is more amazing

Haven't watched it, but that looks like realsatire.

Good night sweet prince~ Press F to pay respects.
maybe now he'll stop popping up in all of those goddamn marvel movies
At least he died before he made another embarrisingly bad film.
