unironically yes. as a pc gamer with a desktop atleast on par with consoles and better in most cases. the switch is the only system i care about outside of exclusives and being nintendo it has the only exclusives worth caring about outside a few games on the ps4. by the end of the year it will have the same number of worth while exclusives as the ps4. and everything else is better on my pc.

Deadly Premonition. It's shit and it was dated in a lot of bad ways even when it was new.

It's super charming and entertaining though. If you're a fan of the original Twin Peaks series it draws a lot of inspiration from that too.

I'm pretty sure FF7, Tactics and VIII were handled by the same localization team. Square might have had more time to polish FF8's localization before hitting shelves, but it's still mostly on par with the other games. You're just not looking hard enough.

I can't think of any immediate examples in FF7 or Tactics, but based on playthrough comparisons, there were some details about FF8's English script that seemed to shy away from certain themes present in the Japanese script, like Zell's possibly latent homosexuality.
