Not really. Most I can think of is that Snake already picks up a copy of some of their guns and doesn't want to swap whole guns when he can keep the one in his inventory and just loot ammo off of gaurds.

Good old Sutherland makes a professional work and MGSV is the more fun game on the entire franchise, Kojima's team nailed the gameplay mechanics but Kojima ruins the story but you know what? who cares? it's a game.

That's the problem. There's a glut of useless, unimportant content, but nothing interesting. I mean, they unironically have you repeat missions on a harder difficulty at one point.

I'd much prefer 3 hours of gameplay with consequence (Metal Gear Solid 1) than 50 hours of nothingness (Phantom Pain).


The only artistic merit this game has is that it makes its fan base feel the same way as its protagonist: broken, empty, suffering from a phantom pain of what was lost. A result Kojima probably tries to convince himself he planned, like what he did with MGS2, but deep down knows it's because he fucked up in development.

I don't even know what constitutes cut content when discussing this game. People mention things like the Kingdom of Flies mission, which was abandoned very early in development as they decided they didn't want it. Cut content implies there were things they really wanted in the game (such as a full city with no loading screens in New Vegas) that they had to cut out due to limitations/constraints.
