Why is it in 2017 we still don't have perfectly spherical objects in games? I know it's because they're made of triangles, but why does it have to be like that? Why don't developers just model a ball instead of a bunch of triangles in the approximate shape of a ball?

but just like voxels there's lots of problems if you want it to interact with light, collided with things etc
I do think they are too conservative with spheres and wheels tho, they are wayy to fucking lowpoly even on modern games, they could get away with more polygons, but after so many years modelers are probably just hardwired to never do spheres or circles

I bought Echoes thinking he was just going to be a boring weeb swordsman and that Celica was going to be the favorite of the two because of her goddess tier design, but it ended up being the other way around. yea the oculus and psvr are paying gorillions of dollars to prevent game devs from releasing their games on vive in order to keep their shitty hardware alive. The problem with this is that they are going to ruin VR as a whole. PSVR is literally muddy textures and the oculus has shit virtual reality controls. Luckily there is still a chance for VR to live since a lot of it is just timed exclusives and they will release for all platforms.

If they wanted to keep those games off Vive, they would disable ReVive. All of those games are ones which never would have been made without Oculus money. They are the ones funding the development of the rich, full games people have been hungry for, out of their own pocket.
